Thanks! Yes it's Photoshop, I'm cheating hehe.. I take the screenshot with the subject against a clean background such as the ocean or sky and extract it using the pen tool. After that I go Google Images hunting and merge together some areal photos or horizon shots. Apply some lens-, motion- or radial blur and voilah! The final thing left is lighting and fixing up some graphics glitches (bad AA, unwanted reflections or choppy polygons on round surfaces). If you have some basic understanding of Photoshop techniques you can do these within a hour! Turning a screenshot like this: Into this: -The Spitfire is a screenshot from 71st_dB in IL2: Cliffs of Dover which I used some time ago in a signature for him.

yes i must say the damage models are excellent.. one thing that keeps bothering me is the flames.. but ill mod those one day i think but ye.. more tracers would be fun.. makes you all .. jumpy.. i remember playing a mod for Battlefield 2.. and there where tracers on every 3 rounds for rifles.. then you had a map that was all fog in a forrest.. seeing those tracers soar past you scared the crap out of players.. ripping trees appart.. hitting your buddies.. etc etc I vote yes for more tracers :D

If your willing to pay for it.. sure It takes time and its hard work.. 2 dollars a piece? :D I can't photoshop for the next 2 weeks though.. old pc is now burning in the eaternal flames of hell and my new rig is on the way :D

maybe an RTS side for the ground units, for proper communications with the guys in the air :) like.. 1 is ground command and moves the tanks around n stuff.. when running into a sh*tload of trouble you radio (mic) the guys in the air and give them coordenates and details :) although.. the pilots would just kick the armor's asses and then the ground commander would have nothing to do.. maybe take out a tricky sam or something.. I like this idea.. but I dont think the DCS crew would do this.. would be great.. meenwhile.. i would strongly advice you to play ARMA or Operation Flashpoint :)
