  1. First Saab S100B AEW&C will delivered to Royal Thaï Air Force in 2010. http://www.gripen.com/en/MediaRelations/News/2009/first_flight_for_thai_saab_340_aew.htm
  2. Problems dont' come from the plane, but from engines. Developing a new engine is often much loooooonger than the plane itself... ;)
  3. Thanks a lot ! You can't imagine how your answer helps ! ;)
  4. Except this picture, I did not find any documents about tankers in service in Flygvapnet. It seems this Hercules was temporary modified to test Gripens' refueling abilities. Other test campaigns have been realised with South-African and French tankers : http://frontierindia.net/gripen-completes-in-flight-re-fuel-tests-with-french-kc135 So, are there any tankers in service in Swedish Air Force ?
  5. Thx. So, just used as flaps ? I don't know if pilot controls it manually, but it seems to be automatic. Am I right ?
  6. So, any Viggen specialist should check this thread, it is about Viggen controls. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=786909#post786909 Very useful to implement animations !
  7. How it works ? What I know : -> Elevons work as standard elevons like any delta wings. -> Canards controls is down to provide additional lift during landing and take-off. What I don't know -> Are the canards controls working as additional elevators ? -> Are they helping for roll as extra ailerons ? (it seems not) So, any informations about this (and more) is welcome ! :)
  8. THIS IS !!:chair: So, JanKo, any pictures is welcome. Especially close up from any pylons and anywhere is applied stencils ! Plus details from top of a wing. I need to count screws and rivets. ;) And ALL squadron insignias you could find ! Cheers
  9. Then, I briefly went back to Viggen to finish mapping. So, I'm looking for any close-up pictures of pylons. There are so much little stencils painted on, any help should be welcome. :)
  10. YES ! And don't forget to collect a huge amount of pictures. A lot of "walkarounds" are easily available on the net, and remember the planes on pictures have correct shapes... ;)
  11. First flight for Royal Thai Air Force Gripen :
  12. I'm a bit lazy too... ;)
  13. That means building a cockpit too, and... buy FSX ! :D If anybody feels ready to create a cockpit, I could share the 3D model... )
  14. No, a top-priority project inserted itself between the Viggen and I... Some news for next VFAT... ;)
  15. Not yet, put I can put your name on the list. ;)
  16. Ada Mod team did. ;)
  17. Excellent. ;) And if some models are payware, that is just to afford a lawyer !:D
  18. John's words are crude, but somewhere he's right... Of course, no one has to be a 3D expert to criticize a model. I know how much time is needed to produce a model, and it is never easy to accept some bad criticisms, even if they're justified. Cause modellers' ego is HUGE, it's often hard to call himself in question. ;) That's why I try to share as possible any progress in my works, to expose them to expert eyes. But where you're wrong, John, is about the blueprints. Excepted if you got the genuine blueprints from manufacturers, there are ALL wrong, and you shouldn't trust them as you do. They can give a good framework, but the only documents you can trust are photographs, cause the planes on them have always correct shapes... ;) Following blindly the blueprints is for sure the source of some inaccurate shapes, it is often the mistake made by modellers. This doesn't mean their work is bad, it is often excellent and they try to work as close as possible to their basis documents. But sometimes, they should take extra-time to verify their accuracy. Especially blueprints found on internet. Because you don't know the source, the resolution and how they are been digitized. But considering 3D models created by Lockon community, they're often much better than many payware planes. And some shits are VERY VERY expensive. That's why I keep supporting any 3D creator, and I encourage anyone to produce their own models if they consider the others as inadequate. ;) Cheers
  19. Mustn't be so difficult... ;)
  20. You must be blind... ;) What about changing the colour scheme ?...:music_whistling:
  21. The Viggen is built with about 40.000 polys at LoD0, without DM. Counting Gripen's polys is not so simple, cause the models includes single and two-seater plus many features. But you can consider it has about 35.000.
