Here is a good video of a SA341C. The camera is static so you an stick a post-it on the screen to see how the position of the cyclic varies slightly during different parts of the flight.

I would think it's not normal, and it's only the Gazelle that behaves like this in DCS. Also see the following comment by Damcopter, which has IRL experience of the Gazelle. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3773687#post3773687 Also setting the position of the cyclic with the trim vs positioning it using joystick deflection behaves totally different. If you trim the cyclic to a certain position and do not apply any joystick deflection you do not get the rolling behaviour.

+1, my main concern too

I took screenshots of the frequencies and saved as .png in the folder C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Kneeboard\C-101CC

That's great. Thanks for the replies!

Is it possible to get DME readings in the CC model and if so, how? This post seems to suggest it is possible: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3297292&highlight=DME#post3297292 As far as I can tell there is no TACAN equipment so I assume we would have to enter DME frequency on the NAV radio? If this is correct where can I look up the frequencies?

Did you make sure that the ILS runway is the active one? Ex. Kobuleti only has ILS on runway 07 so if 25 is active, ILS might be turned off on runway 07.

Ok, what is the issue? This is a discussion forum after all. Would prefer a discussion using substantial arguments.

I do not have any real life heli experience or anything, but I feel that something is not quite right with the FM, or at least how the stick input is processed. It's a bit hard to explain. If you give any static joystick input you will get an accelerating change of the helicopter attitude until you cancel the joystick input. However, when changing the simulated static stick position using the trim you do not get this effect. This is completely different from how the other 3 helicopters in DCS work. Do not get me wrong, I personally enjoy flying the Gazelle in the sim and I am ok with it not being completely realistic. However if you are all about realism I suspect you would be a bit disappointed if you bought it.

I would suggest trying it with only one monitor. I have this problem in multi-monitor setup too and I think the popup is appearing outside the visible area on one of the screens. Probably because my monitors have different resolution.

It goes to show that the sim is based on a good information source! :smilewink:

This Swedish article talks about that top secret information about robot system 15 (RB15) has been leaked on a forum owned by a Russian company that works with flight simulators. Might it be this forum that they are referring to? https://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/a/zLbElb/hemliga-uppgifter-om-svenskt-robotsystem-spreds-pa-ryskt-natforum

Also try counter-acting (even a small) trim with manual stick input. You will see that something is not quite right... If you trim to a certain position the heli will maintain a stable attitude at that position. Manually positioning the stick there will quickly get out of hands. Edit: It might actually be correct behaviour. I found this thread where someone explained that SAS attitude/heading is also adjusted through trimming. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169375&page=3

Pitch and yaw on gazelle is "rolling over"
dahlgren replied to AtomMrav's topic in Bugs and Problems
Something is definitely not right and it is easy to reproduce. For example: Trim the helicopter a bit nose forward, 5-6 short presses or so trim forward. Then manually hold the cyclic aft to neutralise the input, exactly like if you would have done a trim reset. The helicopter will keep pitching back pointing the nose further and further up as long as you hold the cyclic back. The same happens if you use the magnetic brake instead of the trim button. If you do a trim reset it behaves correctly. I don't have FFB enabled. Maybe this is already corrected in a patch, but if so it's not made it into the currently released version. -
Good advice. The most important thing for me was to firmly advance the throttle up to 8 pounds since that quickly gives you rudder authority. This is very different from for example the P-51 where advancing the throttle to quickly can make you veer sideways if she's heavily loaded. For landing, my best advice is to not be in a hurry to set her down on the runway. Pull back on the throttle, fly over the runway and take your time until she sets down on her own in a 3-point attitude.

I agree, to me "fenêtre de guidage" would mean a flight director rather than a deviation indicator. Also the phrase "mettre la maquette avion dans la fenêtre de guidage" doesn't sound like a deviation indicator. It's then not just as simple as putting the FPM into the box, but rather navigating the airplane to align with the localizer and glideslope.

The Crosshair for "Visual Recon Mode" is drawn behind world.

Still a problem -
Just tried the Gazelle for the first time after the flight model update and I would just like to say thank you to Polychop for the improvement. Will definitely spend more time flying this bird from now on.

Mission 02 - Instructor Airspeed
dahlgren replied to PinkyandBrain's topic in A-10C 16-2 Red Flag Campaign
I'm having trouble keeping up with the other plane now. In the mission planner the speed is set to 350. Maybe the speed bug has been fixed and now we have the opposite problem? Also it seems that the briefing PDF isn't exactly according to the actual mission. It says that I should be the lead of a two-flight which isn't the case. It also says you need to keep min 12000 AGL above the farms, but the flight plan is down close to the ground. -
List of bugs that I've found in SU-33 beta
dahlgren replied to AJaromir's topic in Su-33 for DCS World
I can also confirm #5. I have tried a few landings and it's only when you land directly on the cables that the arrestor hook seems to engage. -
Can someone spot something strange here? After the last update, turns in track-up mode are inverted.
-
Excellent, it helps a lot to always have it in the corner of the screen, and it's interactive and all. I'm not able to drag it out to the second screen however. Also as mentioned earlier the frame is missing if the game is configured for several screens. There are some strange things going on with the side mirrors and lighting in the heli when active (working fine in the navigator's view though). This is still early access so no big deal with a few glitches and missing features, looking forward to see this module develop out of beta!

Is it possible to export the NS 430 view to a secondary screen, similarly to how you do in the A-10C and KA-50 using LEFT_MFCD and RIGHT_MFCD?
-
Also, when activating a leg in a flight plan, you should select the target of the leg. Currently you have to select the source. The confirmation popup is also missing. See for example the following video, starting at 10:00:

When inserting waypoints in a flight plan, I believe the new waypoint should be inserted before the highlighted waypoint. At the moment it is inserted after the highlighted waypoint. It doesn't seem to be possible scroll past the 4th waypoint to insert a 5th.
