Since Vaicom doesn't install itself as a traditional Windows program that can be uninstalled by locating it in the Windows Program menu, do you provide an uninstaller utility.? Vaicom places itself in several areas, some more obscure then others. I didn't see one and had to spend a bit of time searching for all its "hiding" places. Those of us that decide its not for us would appreciate an easier way to remove it from our systems.

LOL! Switching was necessary so I could use my original Voice Attack DCS DCS Profile because Vaicom screwed up my A10C PTT bindings royally. I use the china hat on the CH throttle for PTT and its now mapped to the buttons on the throttle grip front area. I realize I have to figure out how to fix that, but wanting to fly I have switched back to my "normal" Voice Attack DCS profile since the other is a mess right now.

Alaskan Grizzly, can you give me an estimated time frame for fixing the DCS 2.5 only installation bug that currently renders KB unusable for me? UPDATE - The problem seems to have been fixed.

Hollywood, I have 2 questions. 1. After spending an hour teaching Vaicom all 450 DCS words I updated to VA 1.6.9 (see below for reason). Do I have to repeat that process (I didnt uninstall the old version of VA, just updated it and all Vaicom files seem to be interact). 2. After updating I get the same error message I got in the older version of VA (which prompted me to make the update). See attached. https://plus.google.com/photos/photo/102385542845985326590/6538873431432367922?authkey=CJOewpTkstLQwAE

I feel exactly the same way you do. For example, I would never support anything on Kickstarter. Hell, I always wait for the SECOND release of new hardware. I guess I changed my mind after seeing their professional credentials and degrees in the fields that pertain to the glove technology they are bringing to market. Then after conversing with one of the founding members, I eagerly pursued hooking them up with DCS...cause I want to fly my A10C HAWG with my HOTAS and my HANDS ;) -
Thank you! Thats the solution I was looking for.

Vaicom Pro, as a registered user I have a question. Is there a way to turn off my in game voice when using the Comms Menus WITHOUT using any other functions of Vaicom Pro?? I like to verbalize commands / requests and dont want to hear it repeated. But I like my current ways of using Voice Attack and dont feel the need to add any other Vaicom functions. If it can ONLY be done by Vaicom Pro, what is the easiest way to implement it without using any other Vaicom functions? Instructions appreciated. :) Thanks!

Well that is great to hear. I hope to hear good things in the future about DCS and Sensoryx AG! (I can see it now. Me flying my A10C , flipping switches and twisting dials WITH MY HANDS!) :) -
Because I was in touch with Igor ( the guy who builds and sells them ) by email when I was researching which one to buy. That was 6 months ago so I have no idea what price he might have told me then. I do remember thinking "Holy Crap. Thats a lot".
-
LOL, go experience them both if you have the bucks. I dont. ;) But my research gave me more then enough information to make an informed decision. I can easily answer the question about customs charge or import duty. THERE IS NONE FOR ME! I bought the NLR systm from a US based company (Ricmotech in Florida) and could have also bought it from Amazon USA. As to the customs charge for the DOF Reality, that would depend on where you are located and the weight and amount of boxes you received. Next Level Racings hardware and software is easy to use and is a BLAST when flying in DCS. The immersion is astounding. Professionally constructed hardware and software allows it to work right out of the box. No tweaking necessary.

There was no customs charge for the Next Level Racing stuff I bought since I got it from a US based company. You can also get them from Amazon. As to the customs charge for the DOF Reality, that would depend on where you are located and the weight and amount of boxes you received. Get in touch with Igor at DOF Reality. He should know about this cost. Good luck!

Upper link picture of product. Lower link to web site. I have no connection with this company. I just love flying in DCS and want to do it with these gloves. BTW, if $300 doesnt work for you, better start looking elsewhere . Im pretty sure this kind of tech aint happening for $150. ;) -

Until they are able to get in touch with ED, this is nothing more then a pipe dream ;) -
https://plus.google.com/?utm_source=chrome_ntp_icon&utm_medium=chrome_app&utm_campaign=chrome I have been in touch with Rolf Adelsberger who is Chief executive officer at Sensoryx and Postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zürich. They have developed and will soon release... "VRFREE GLOVE SYSTEM Our VRfree® system consists of a pair of lightweight, fingertipless gloves and a HMD mount that you clip onto your headmounted device (GearVR, Daydream, Oculus, HTC Vive, Fove or similar). The system is composed of 6 different sensor types that are fully integrated into the gloves and the HMD mount. It allows you to fully track your hands and fingers in 3D space – without any other 3rd party tracking device. The VRfree® glove does not require any other external references like cameras or beacons." How cool would it be to fly in DCS using these gloves to interact with the clickable cockpits.... They are having a hard time contacting anyone at Eagle Dynamics. If you work for ED OR you know someone that does, please message me so we can fly with these in the near future. http://www.sensoryx.com/

Instant Mission Easy-East Georgia-Spring Bug

Thanks. Thats just what I needed to know. -
OK Andre. Thank you. Thats sounds good. Since the upper right shoulder motor is still working at half power Im in no real rush to replace it now. Can you suggest what kind of silicone I should buy at Amazon to fix the low power motor? And please tell me the tools I will need to remove and replace a motor if that is needed in the future. I look forward to your videos as well. Since that is just the way motors are, Im sure many others will benefit from the instruction as well. :)
-
Thank you Andre. Your customer support is the best. Can these motors be replaced with ones that dont break as much? I would gladly buy a replacement if I could get them here in the US. Also, a detailed video demonstrating the ways to fix (with silicone) or replace (soldering?) would help me and some other customers out a lot. Since I havent used the defective first Jetseat I purchased for a long time, from what you have said those motors might be inactive and unusable due to lack of use . A replacement motor to fix my second Jetseat sounds like a safer way to go.
-
Yes its true I do express "hate" for prematurely broken products in my rant above. But to be fair, there is also lot of love expressed above as well. "I love the Jetseat..... " "Although I love what it does for immersion....." Honestly, more than anything I am just very frustrated with a product that I have bought twice due to components that stop working correctly far to soon. I appreciate all the support I have gotten from Andre. He has been great to deal with. The Jetseat and SSA add a lot to the VR flight experience, but at around $200 a pop I expect it to last a more reasonable length of time. I wish I could replace the motors with a more reliable ones. BTW, since this obviously is an ongoing issue Im sure customers that need to repair the units would benefit from a You Tube video demonstrating the process. Especially those of use that never do this sort of thing. ;)
-
I love the Jetseat..... BUT, the first one I bought (and didnt use a lot) was when I was just learning DCS. After several months two of the motors died. Tried sending it back to Andre for repair but it cost around $80. So I bought ANOTHER one but got the model with velcro instead of a stitched seam so I could fix them if need be. I have had this one for about 3 months of constant use and after using the Gametrix motor test software discovered the one behind my right shoulder is operating at half power. Although I love what it does for immersion, I HATE HOW THESE CRAPPY MOTORS ARE PRONE TO FAILURE !! Rant over......

Got it. With DCS running I had to hover the mouse pointer over the main icon and a small blank window appears on the desktop to the left of the icon . Click on the blank window and the control screen is revealed. Very obtuse.
