Jam, Im personally confident your wrong here. We have been advised that the western version is not likely until next year and the reasons for this (western censorship classification etc) However, some of us impatient souls are willing to purchase a Russian version ahead of this and I was asking for some more detail when this will actually be available...or at least target date... I see this as a great opportunity for the developers to maximise revenue from their product as some on here (me included) will happily pay for both versions whatever the price!

I appreciate this may not go down really well with the moderators, BUT Any update on the D/L version for us impatient soles? I dont think its unreasonable to ask personally. I know the response to date has been soon, but christmas is soon according to my kids! and at 43, my 50th seems soon also! Even if the reply is "we hope to release next Friday, subject to confirmation" thats fine. Just gives us some more detail.....and I accept that thursday may see an update saying "actually delayed until...xxxxx"... Just sooo much better than soon!

Im new here, but far from new with flight sims, and spending time reading up previous posts. I'm amazed that anyone connected with our hobby could even think of knocking F4...blimey, has to be THE benchmark for a proper study sim still, some 10yrs after release. Was in buggy?...blimey yes Was it the cause of MP downfall....no way Truth is, simulation software has become a niche market following widespread participation during the early years on the home PC...they were just victims of this. The DC system in F4 is 10 yrs old and nothing compares to it still today...god, you all know how long 10yrs is in the world on PC software development. Im hopefull the BS software and battle environment will be the next step we are all waiting for and from what I have seen and read so far im sure it will be... but please, dont knock or forget the pioneers who pushed the boundaries for us to get where we are. I'm well aware of the 1st post. Point is it states ON or soon after....so not suprising some have hoped for the ON bit being the case. Most telling part of the last sentence is the words "guess" and "assume" Sort of makes my original point for me really. Please rest assured, this is NOT a rant. I have been a flight simmer for many, many years...from the times of the very first original Falcon release on the Atari ST! computers. (who remembers digital intergration sims?) I really do appreciate the developers who invest time and risk in producing "our" passion software. Just very dissapointed that someone offical couldnt find the 2 mins to let everyone know the definative position. Surely they must know there are many, many here waiting to part with their cash.

I for one do not think its too much to ask for some offical information. Yes I can appreciate their busy today (aint we all whilst at our place of work?) but how long does it take to come on here and keep the potential "customers" informed? Even if its not good news...I just feel a bit of a chump sat here pressing F5 for well over 12hrs now! Like someone said earlier...hopefully the message will be ...heres the link...enjoy and goodnight! Surely if we outside the CIS wish to pay for the product...as many here seem destined to do...we should be allowed to...and advised when

As I understand it...you can't Only way is to get someone to buy it for you and then get them to ship it out directly.. If anyone here has a Russian friend, do let me know!...lol

Not a rant..... But I just dont see how this happens! Surely if it wasnt ready yesterday then someone could have said...rather than half a day into actual release date! If the retail version is ready, and on sale now, how can the download not be? I know others have been waiting a long, long time for this product and the dev team want to ensure its right before launching...however, On the assumption its a commercial proposition for the developers who produce the sim why not take the option to increase revenue by making the download available at the same time as the retail version. There must be circa 100 non cis people on this forum alone desperate to give you the purchase price now to be able to download it (in russian) AND then pay again for the western version when available. Seems like a lost opportunity to maximise revenue generation to me. Just frutrated!!!!!! My apologies....

Koriel, Thank you. If you find software that works, please advise. Happy to download and convert myself if needed. Dont expect anyone else to do the donkey work for me. Happy to post a converted version somewhere for others to download if I can manage to convert it and the admin dont mind?

All, I'm new here today and have the manual downloaded...thx to yeep! I also jumped in and tried the translation software before reading it doesnt work... Question is, does anyone know any software that will translate pdf files please? Surely in todays computing age there just has to be something that can convert these files, even if you need to convert the pdf to word format first? I'm definately getting the Russian version now (hopefully tomorrow, fingers crossed!!!) Any help greatfully recieved
