EB, You been chatting to my wife?...."wait" were her sentiments too...lol However, with respect, thats easy for you to say whilst your flying around.....lol I just love flight sims, theres a shock....and there has not been one released I have not bought (some stay on the HD longer than others of course) but every small step forward is welcome. Im happy to pay for this to play around with until the version I can read and use effectively comes out...for someone who spends hours on my hobbie, frankly the cost is neglible... BUT...I do accept your comment is sensible....(when did common sense come into our hobby?) My kids (18 and 16) piss themselves at dad sat in front of the TV (HDMI) with joysticks in my hand flying away.....they reckon "Im sad"...as they say. Kind Regards Gary

Thats brilliant .....thanks. I need to set google so it translates every subsequent page though...got through first couple of pages trying to register so I can buy but sooner or later the pages I link to in order to progress revert into Russian....any ideas?

My question was probably better aimed at 1C and I recognise this is not the forum to do that. I apologise for asking the same question on a couple of threads, although I believe the threads I did post in are the relevant ones. Paul, Please re-read my originl post and replies. I'm aware the Western version is due sometime new year and have no problem with that...Yes, id like it tomorrow please, but given we have been told next year...thats fine... My post wasnt anything to do with unfinished work at all, its predominately about finished and available work. Before anyone points out the open letter again, I'm also aware the Russian version is not meant for the Western market but the fact is I'd like to purchase a legal copy easily...Its my money and my choice and I dont see how me paying for something that is freely available for sale in the East can possibly be illegal but would appreciate confirmation on that.... GGTharos, Thank you for your reply too...I REALLY do appreciate you guys answering me. However, I'm fully aware the western version is early next year...not good but at least I know....but that just makes the whole sorry saga of a D/L of the current Russian version more important to me, and a potential money spinner for ED.... Many, many on here would happily pay twice for this, once now for a Russian version, and again when the western version comes out...mad, maybe, supportive of ED....DEFINATELY. My question is: The software is out there but I want to pay for it...why stop me?...surely makes more sense to make that as easy as possible, not bloody stop me!!!

Enough waiting for me..... I'm ordering a copy from Russia and taking the risk....something that frankly pisses me off that I should even need to do so.......I'm prepared to pay for it and its available!...how difficult can it be, really? The software is in the public domain and still no news of how to get a legal copy from anyone!...pffft

EB, Really appreciate the reply...thank you for taking the time to do so. Not the news I wanted or expected...... I dont wish to sound negative, but seems like those of us who dont wish to support priacy are on our own here. I did point out on another thread that the software is out there and available to download, yet we still have no firm committment from whoever to make it available to those of us who wish to buy a legal copy....sort of makes me wonder whos the mug here...me with my cash in hand and limited patience or those who pirate the software and merrily use it! I am aware that "things" in the background and your contractual agreement with the distributors is probably part of the issue here but in the face of no firm details on this im guessing...not where I want to be... Hopefully this post doesnt come across as an attack on anyone from ED or the forum moderators....thats not my intention, just as someone who deals with "customers" on a daily basis, Im frankly amazed that your prepared to sit back and let the pirates satisfy your customers needs instead of taking your potential customers money yourselves....Just makes no sense whatsoever...... I'm preety sure I have already looked at the site linked in the thread but couldnt read a word of it...lol Dont suppose anyone has an English lanuage link for Russian retailer, in Russia who ships (flys) goods out to the West do they? Now that would be really useful!

Are we any nearer to knowing when a D/L version..preferably full version (the Russian version of course, due to rating issue for Western) or demo is going to be available please? With pirated versions of the software available online I really cant understand why its not available now for those who want to pay for it???? The answer will help me decide if I need to pursue trying to get hold of a Russian retailer who can ship me a copy (legally) like some have already done. I understand 1C distribute the software in the CIS and if my question needs to be directed to them, happy to do so... Thanks in anticipation.

We both know...every serious simmer out there will buy BS, whatever the CP.. To be fair, I dont think many are kicking out at ED over SF, just pleading with ED not to use it...

Imho, The three previous posts above hit the nail on the head. What annoys me most though is this: In the vain hope of finding a retailer who could get me a LEGAL copy of BS, I done a search yesterday online, I will stress, I was looking to buy a ligitimate copy of the software. As susspected no luck!...however, I did come across a number of sites where I could download the game (please dont ask for links) Given that the software is out there and free, what possible reason can the distributors have for not making a D/L available...that just seems madness!!! Their almost saying "you cant buy a legal copy because someone has stolen it and made it available free of charge" And we sit here like the dedicated simmers we are with our money in our hands waiting to pay for it. Pirates thrive in a supply and demand market place that is not meet or is too exspensive. I appeal on behalf of everyone here with the morals not to use stolen software.......Please give us the option to purchase this game and use it legally!!!! Regards,

I also agree with Cowboy. Does concern me that the dev team will feel let down but guys, one rotten apple and all that. I can assure the dev team that I will happily buy BS, from wherever, ligitamately, in order to support our hobby. I may not be the most patient of souls, and yes, I was one of those asking for more information on D/L release. However, I certainly wasnt after an illegal version or unprepared to pay the full price. I have no interest in obtaining a pirated version and will wait with the other committed simmers here to get the product in the proper manner. Regards, Gary

Has the release strategy changed and all this dissapointment been the result of the post on how to "activate" the English language on the Russian release? Alex, I appreciate your post above. Having read all the subsequent ones I do feel guilty that maybe I have started others off on a bit of a rant. (god knows what happened in pages 3 and 4!!! Im guessing some offensive posts were removed?) I had no desire or intention to piss anyone off, particulary the developers or publishers. In a declining niche market I really do very much appreciate all the hard work that goes into pleasing us. I do also recognise that the dev team are well thought of and have invested time to keep everyone up to date previously. It was an innocent question seeking a more tangable understanding, or update on timescales following on from Waggs post last Friday. Made in good faith I can assure you, without rant or flame. I apologise to anyone I have upset too....Afterall, we all want the same thing at the end of the day...A good quality product, well supported...

Kaptein, I understand what your saying now.....AND very much hope your wrong. Also, from what I have read on this forum so far, everyone has been very complimentary of the development team coming on here to keep people up to date on developments (busy since last Fridays release though!) I would have thought it very unlikely that Waggs would have posted his statement that it will be available to download on or soon after the 17th if that was not confirmed! I do hope your wrong!!!!

Alex, I dont consider ANY of my posts to be childish nagging. I can also assure you I have spent many, many, many months waiting for previous titles. From the delayed release of Micropose Gunship, through to Digital Intergrations F16 Combat Pilot, Falcon 1,2,3,4....I think you get the picture. From the rest of your post I dont think you meant to cause offence and none has been taken...I will look forward to first crashing and then hopefully flying with you sometime real soon!!! Kaptien, I dont think your link to the 1C forum is an actual offical statement from 1C....and even if it is, it doesnt say that BS will not be available outside CIS in ANY format. I have read it as confirming that retail shop versions will only be distributed in the CIS. Now lets hope for something offical asap.

Skipper, Thanks for the reply. I would conclude one of two things from your reply though. Either they know and cant say...NDA agreements etc.... Or They dont know themselves Which would lead onto me thinking its unlikely to be seen this week as originally hoped

I will admit, I'm probably one of the moe impatient forum members and yes there is another thread asking for an update that I started. I can actually agree with every post in this thread both requesting more information AND the calls for patience. However, all I think people want to know is some more information "it will be ready when its ready" is perfectly understandable when software is in early development...just pop over to FO forum...plenty of those posts there. I do not believe that is really an acceptable answer when the software has been released and being used, albeit in another country. I'm not software programmer but surely the developers have an estimated timeline to do whatever work needs to be done to make the D/L version available. Maybe the development team have completed their work and the decision rests with 1C?....if thats the case, fine, just say so! I feel pretty sure the dev team and 1C must have lines of communication between them...so some offical view of when they plan to make it available doesnt seem to me to be unreasonable, whoever its from (Dev team or Distributors) I think some on here are confussing the perception that we are banging our hands on the table saying ~"give me the software now".......which I'm certainly not with respectful requests for a little more information of when its likely to arrive (which is subject to change of course!) Even if the offical release stated "We expect to make the D/L available on Oct 22nd, I for one would be satisfied that I had something more tangable to look forward too (although of course I do want it sooner than that!!!....lol)
