  1. Just to let everyone know.... I'm all sorted now!...its its bloody brilliant!!!!!! Thanks for everyones contributions.... Kind Regards, Gary
  2. Zaelu, I'm not disagreeing with necessarily. Just saying its not so easy sometimes to compare like for like. As an example. You want to buy a car...you have a choice...mini or rolls royce Both cars that get you from A to B. Both do the same job...but the price difference brings better quality and options Of course if you can buy a rolls royce for mini money....great!!!..lol Regards, Gary
  3. Peter, Done....not sure how long it takes....transferrd 50 rubles Regards, Gary
  4. I have some rubles in my webmoney account your welcome to...... However, I have no idea how I would go about transfering them to yours?... If you can give me clear nstructions, happy to donate them. Regards, Gary
  5. Thanks guys. My concern is that its associated with unwanted cyclic input (iffy controler calibration) Of course, if its supposed to happen through inertia or tourque etc thats fine... I have tried trimming whilst stationary and rudder input in the opposite direction does correct it but as soon as the rudder is centred it starts to drift again... Obviously a bad controller calibration just makes a difficult job of flying the shark near impossible!!......and my x45 is very old now, hence my conern that its the equipment not the sim detail Regards, Gary
  6. Yaw is mapped tothe rudder function of my x45.... Can anyone tell me if thenose wheel turning whilst sat on the runway without touching either the collective or cyclic is normal? (No wind enabled btw) Regards, Gary
  7. Well done Viper....and I'm glad repent got a mention too, without his help I wouldnt be flying either... I wonder if everyone wil be quiet so friendly when we are in the virtual skys trying to kill each other on MP...lol Regards, Gary
  8. All, I have had some mixed results flying with my rather old x45 set up. Sometimes the shark seems to act as expected, other times it seems to have a mind of its own! Beginning to think my x45 is a little flakey now but before I rush off to buy new equipment I thought I would try and check somehow. Tried all the calibration routines of course. Set up a flight in ME and watched from the outside....funny thing is, the nose wheel drifts hard left without any input from sticks whatsoever... Can anyone confirm this is normal and happens with their "normal" setup? Sorry, should have added, this is on the runway without touching and stick or throttle at all Thanks, Gary
  9. Red, I'm sorry if my post came across as critical of anyone, that wasnt my intention at all. I just wanted to point out that informed comparison is good and I'm in no position to do that as I don't know enough about either product.. Apologise if I offended anyone... Regards, Gary
  10. UK based squadrons? Regards, Gary
  11. I'd certainly be interested. I would need some help getting online though. UK Regards, Gary
  12. Actually all I'm interested in is something that improves my flight sim experience... For the record, I did try freetrack, or rather tried to but after downloading it, the installer didnt even work. I'm a great believer in value for money...if you pay very little, you USUALLY get very little, exchange values aside (BS was cheap, but only in Russia!) If your experience is different to that, great and if freetrack works for you at a minimal cost so much the better. I'm no expert in head tracking software but I'd suggest if you want to compare products its useful to have a full understanding of each so your measuring like for like. For all I know, one might offer a lot more functioality than the other, but as I say...I dont know, so wont comment. Regards, Gary
  13. DTWD, I also have FSX and have had a little play with that with Tir as well.. I still need to add some final tweaks but have the profile steady enough to fly...I really like the zoom function, where you lean forward to get a closer look at dials and displays, thats really cool.... All I need now is a motion platform and some way of mounting my display inside my crash helmet (so you lose all outside ref to your normal environment)...now that would really rock wouldnt it!....lol You not been tempted to go the D/L route whilst your waiting for the western version? Regards, Gary
  14. DTWD, Was you asking me? Yes, I have BS.......using repents guide to D/L from 1C.... And really enjoying it too.. Regards, Gary
  15. Shrubbo, Welcome.... I will try your method too....thanks. Gary
  16. Completed my first few landings and cannon runs with Tir now... How did I manage to do without this kit for so long?....its very good...highly recommended. Thanks again for eveyones help. Gary
  17. Thanks to eveyones efforts Im nearly there!!!!!!! Just a bit of tweaking here and there....the deadzone is crucial.... Big thanks to Nemises too Regards Gary
  18. Guys, Grrrr....Im getting there slowly....just seems way too sensitive at the moment and the calibration is far from straight forward....although maybe im not the brightest spark admittedly. Really appreciate you guys helping though.... Nemisis wrote the following in an earlier reply...which I dont undertand ????? "If you are using the Trackclip pro, then you can also tell the TIR software to turn off the IR emitters on the camera, as the track clip pro emitts its own infrared. Having the Emitter turned on the camera can cause unwanted IR reflections from behind you which can confuse the camera." Thanks again everyone....most helpful.. Regards, Gary
  19. Gents, I'm using the track clip pro.....very unstable results so far.... I cant find where the option to turn off the IR emitters is in the software though?
  20. Guys, Thank you. I had already updated my software from their site but didnt realise you had to update the supported game list...(but makes sense of course) Will keep you posted...off to try again now... Thanks again Gary
  21. Well guys I have just recieved my Tir pro.... Not managed to set it yet...first impressions are the quick start documentation isnt brilliant...comes with both a baseball cap clip and the pro clip....spent first twenty mins reading the quickstart trying to figure out what went where before it dawned on me that you use either one or the other, not both...lol Loaded the software and drivers, launched BS...nothing! Before anyone shouts RTFM dont worry, I will, but if anyone is on here who can help in the meantime that would be great... Do I need to create a specific BS profile and it doesnt come with one preloaded? Regards, Gary
  22. Groove, Thanks for the confirmation...I thought id read that somewhere on here previously. Regards, Gary
  23. I'm not sure if this is something associated with the current engine but maybe it will be addressed in the western release if we are lucky and its not something too difficult to do.....however, I suspect if it was easy to put right, they would have done so for the Russian release. Guess ive just answered my own question there really!!!...lol Gary
  24. Funny thing is, until F4 was taken on by Micropose from Specrum Holobyte, i'd always considered micropose products to be more gamey compared to DI..... To be fair though, F4 was a huge leap forward in study sims Not many software programmes can boast a life of 10yrs without being completely rewritten... Gary
