    For example, here is a picture released by the China Military Online (sponsored by the PLA News Media Center) of the hull 629 Tongling 056A firing their 30 mm CIWS, also with their box launchers in the background. The reason I chose to name it the 056A was because the 056 is being phased out and transferred to the Coast guard (where most of it heavy weapons will be removed).

    But I'm happy with my 056A asset, which surely can be used as an analogue for both the 056 and 056A in DCS missions. Consider it a 056 slowly being refitted to a 056A. 👍🏻

    Hello Currenthill, I've tried to download the new China pack 6 times, using all links, and I get a network error each time. Do you know how I may be able to resolve this?

    Incredible! Haven't seen dust and clouds modeled like this in DCS before. this mod is great!

    HDS mod has actual destroyed models, and their performance characteristics are solid. I would not call this an outdated mod. Currenthill may disagree, but I would consider this request to be highly redudant, since it is already in-game to a high degree of recreation. I would assume he'd prefer to spend his time creating systems that we don't have in-game yet.

    I did not even realize that these mods were in the static template. Once they are installed it works now. Am I able to remove these mods from the template without having to make a new one?

    Edit: I did a quick test, PGulf map, loaded a 4 year-old static template, with plenty of static objects .. it loaded fine, no corrupt or missing objects:

     

     

     

    Try the static templates I provided. The issue is not whether or not a mod is installed.

    Many old static object saves that I have created for the PG map cause the mission editor to hang up, fail to load and save a mission, and cause the mision file to be corrupted. I have noticed this only happens with static objects within these saves. This seems to be a major issue worth investigating.

    Was not till I extended the range to nearly the edge of the Aim 9 envelope that the SU-30SM finally won 1 match but lost 9.

     

    Great to hear you enjoy the mod! The Su-30SM is a quite capable platform, with some quite capable weapon systems. The match between Su-30SM/Su-35 and FA-18E/F is much closer than it is with older soviet platforms. 

  10. Hello Currenthill, noticed a bug with the KH-101 exhaust smoke. Up close it looks fine, contrails at high altitude, and less visible at lower altitudes. However, from far away, the less visible smoke becomes very thick; seems to be unintentional. This doesn't seem to be the case with other default or modded cruise missiles that I have seen. Here are too images, one zoomed out a decent distance, and another zoomed out an incredibly long distance. Note the images were taken at the same time.

  11. After the recent update, I have noticed a bug where, when a group, or unit is killed prior to being able to enter a trigger zone it is assigned to, it will activate the trigger upon the units death, even if it has never entered the zone.

    Attached is track file of Mi-8MT getting hit by manpad, and then causing their infantry dismount trigger to be set off exactly 80 seconds after it crashed. This indicates that it is following the mission triggers I had intended it to follow when entering the zone, but when it died outside of the zone.
