There should be no difference in startup from Dora. Maybe youll need ground power for the engine ignition but i really dont know i have feeling theres a battery for it in Anton aswell. EDIT: Ok checked my sources and its identical with Dora, theres a battery for the engine start or ground crew can start the engine using a handle.

My sources states that very small percentage of A-8 was indeed fitted with GM-1 injection system but no combat records survived. Most probably these planes never made it past test phases. Since June 1944 all planes were fitted with engine boost system "Erhöhte Notleistung für Jäger" that increased the engines performace up to 2050 PS. -
Translation from my czech source: From this source i believe we can state that removing the ETC 501 bombrack wasnt recommended as it would cause problems with center of gravity which posses serious danger to piloting the plane. Thus the ETC 501 bombrack was never removed on most of the planes be it JABOs or fighters. Ofcourse this doesnt mean the bombrack couldnt be removed, just means most of the crews never did it. Im sorry if i got you confused by stating it was permanent. Also Saburo_cz was faster! Thanks man :)

Good old Revi. Also confirming the bug on the Dora gyrosight. The guns are simply zeroed to 700m distance(verticaly included) and you cannot change it so when you have target 100m infront of you and the crosshair dead center on him youre lobbing all the rounds above him.

1) Sorry i stand corrected i never nail the correct translations. My literature in czech simply states the name "cooling flaps". This is direct citation from my source in czech: Which i translate roughly into: Anything regarding the oil and water radiators was auto and i stand again corrected not through the Kommandogerät(it controlled RPM,pressure and such). 2) Yes, you dont have to open the cooling flaps for the MW50 thats correct but as you say youll overheat and destroy your engine very quickly(not accurate in my opinion) 3) I can post a list of czech literature as source if its any use to you?

The central bombrack was installed on the A-8 permanently because it was a solution for a problem with the planes center of gravity.

The radiators(water and oil) are indeed fully automatic on the Dora but the engine inlet cowlings(the things on the nose that you can see opening and closing when you press the correct buttons) is purely manual thus the pilot has to manage them! Almost all german pilots that flew the Dora agree on that the operation with them was very simple. The only time they had to operate them was on takeoff and steep climbs to prevent overheat due to low speed > weak air flow > cooling less effective. Every other situation was either fully closed or almost closed(this is where the answers differ some vets say fully closed some left them slightly open). This includes cruise and actualy combat including MW50 usage! Thats my only gripe against the DCS model. The only time you manage to operate the MW50 in its supposed limits (up to 10mins) is with the cowlings fully open all the time which according to interviews with the LW pilots isnt correct. The situation on the A-8 is almost identical. All radiators are fully automatic(oil) through the kommandogerat and the engine cowlings are again controlled by the pilot. Engine cowlings are on the 190 from the very first versions beginning with A-4(A-3 had fixed opened slats at all times). Oil operating at more than 100 degrees of celsius is normal in pressured systems like the ones in aircrafts.

The difference is the engine man. For some it may seem like absolutely nothing for others it means a world of difference. Also a lot more DAKKA :-) It is also confirmed ED is giving us both A8 and F8 as a modification i believe. How is it going to be realized ingame i dont know. -

I dont get it, when they used to JTAC lase for 25ML and 29L from Frogfoots in Afghanistan why doesnt it work in DCS for the SU-25A? The missile even recognizes the lased target(the HUD pipper snaps to it). -

Thanks guys, will try both the waypoints and the simple attack plan. Maybe a little bit more detail on the attack plan feature? Does it make like a set of waypoints on the way to the target or just one attack waypoint? -

Agree on that. Its basicaly like the F5E cannons. You just blind yourself completely by firing the MG131 -

Hi, Since todays patch the Viggen apparently has ability to create waypoints and simple attack plan into its data cartridge and kneeboard through making marks on the F10 map. Could anybody please explain how exactly this works? Thanks. -

This is a general problem with almost all guns cause with the first shot it loads all the graphics for the shot like the bullet model, fire effect, the tracer and such... Happens just for the first time because after that the effects are stored in RAM and game doesnt pull them no more from god knows where. -

Same problem here. So far discovered it on Su-25T - many crucial keybinds are red and do not work(for example weapon change, laser rangefinder,A2A mode...). Using Thrustmaster T16000M FCS and TWC throttle. Same problem on Su-27. -

Oh damn totaly missed the Rudels post and your reply. Sorry for that. I understand your reasoning. I dont have a problem with updated cockpit even tho the HUDs visibility wasnt completely solved and still requires some work(atleast its usable now!). Youre probably right waiting for a bit if ED shows up with some update to it. Anyway im looking forward to your work! :) -
Flanker doesnt suffer from any of these problems you describe. Altitude hold works just fine. On high speeds it just takes time to stabilize sometimes.

Same here. Almost sure this isnt how the altitude hold(default "H") should behave.
