Non devi uscire ogni volta: una volta configurato moza cockpit per dcs (lo si fa in pochi click) puoi impostare il caricamento automatico dei profili, per cui quando cambi velivolo ci pensa moza cockpit a caricare il relativo profilo in automatico.

Io ho preso ab9 e lo uso senza estensioni, e quando c'è da tirare tira e il braccio si stanca; non so se sia realistico ma a me piace. Se 6 Nm siano troppo pochi per usare le estensioni boh, ci saprai dire. Comunque è uscito da poco un upgarde del Moza cockpit e ci sono profili preimpostati per praticamente tutti i moduli di dcs compreso l'mb-339, sia per ab6 che per ab9.

Purtroppo non c'è molta Italia in alta risoluzione, ma d'altra parte fare Verona, Bologna, Firenze, Perugia, Roma, Napoli in alta risoluzione, diventava flight simulator invece che dcs, per cui andrà bene anche così. A fine 2026 la si compera. Chissà come sarà messa la faccenda di Razbam, a fine 2026... io spero di sbagliarmi ma scommetto uguale ad ora...

The structure of the pit is a wheelstandpro base, with the 3rd pole on the right modified with a small plywood table for the mouse. In the first two pictures the details of the Moza base mount. The holes in the small wheelstandpro plate intended for the thrustmaster warthog grip base are perfect for the moza ab9 base too. The genuine wheelstandpro pole intended for the warthog base however is a bit too long to accomodate a moza ab9 base: I have shortened it by sawing it with a Dremel (removed 11,5 cm) and now, sliding the shortened pole on its base as low as possible, the grip is at an acceptable height. Let me put some other pictures of my simpit: it's built to be a modular one, I hope you like it: The chair is by Ikea. In the 3rd picture you can see my collective: the 1st iteration by K-51, attached by means of bolts to the bottom of the chair. In the 4th picture my current configuration: the a-10c II cockpit replica: Thrustmaster warthog throttle on the left, Moza ab9 base with Thrustmaster warthog grip on the center, mouse table on the right, MFG crosswind v2 pedals with damper as rudder. In this configuration the collective is unusable as it remains underneath the throttle. If I want to switch to a helicopter configuration, I just have to ease the pole base for the throttle, rotate it forward and tighten it again. The throttle becomes unusable as it is tilted forward and rotated by 45°, but the collective becomes freely usable. In this 2nd configuration I can fly helicopters. I have recently bought a Thrustmaster Viper TQS throttle, you can see it layed on the floor, already attached on a dedicated wheelstandpro pole with a base adapter designed and 3d printed by me: from the a-10c configuration I can ease the pole of the warthog throttle, pull the pole out of its base together with the throttle and change it with the same assembly for the Viper throttle, thus transitioning from a twin-engine configuration to a single-engine one. From the single engine cockpit, if I switch the position of the stick and the mouse table (mouse table on the center and stick on the right) I have a f-16 Viper cockpit replica. The 5th picture is a detail of the pedals attached on the wheelstandpro. In the 6th picture you can see the "monitor" I use: a meta quest 3! (I fly exclusively in VR). In the 7th picture a detail of the wheelstandpro assembly with the diy mouse table. On the Ikea chair there's a simshaker jetpad which, together with the force feedback base, provides haptic feedback. You can't see a keyboard as I do not use it: I replace it with a voiceattack dcs profile. There's just another element of my simpit not in the pictures: a pointCTRL V2: I use it when inside the cockpit, while for the menus I still prefer the traditional mouse. I have a dedicated mouse for the simpit: my desktop pc is on the right of the pit (you can partially see it in the 6th picture) and both the pc and the simpit have their mouse, cable managed as accurately as I can.

I have a Quest 3 and a PointCTRL and I think quest 3 finger tracking is too imprecise to work with tiny switches like the ones in cockpit. I'd prefer an improved tracking with pointCTRL (a pointCTRL v2 with a better sensor maybe?).

It arrived yesterday. I've mounted it on my simpit (I had to saw a pole with the Dremel), configured (it seems to work and telemetry is recognized), set DCS (all my stick inputs have to be reassigned since I come from the non-ffb warthog base and the warthog grip on the moza base is a new device for DCS). In all this, I just had time to test with the a-10c2 and it seems to work, but I can not give opinions yet, still too early. The helicopters are the main reason I bought it. Unfortunately, of the 3 helos I own (ka-50-3, uh-1h and mi-8) in the moza software there's a default profile only for the mi-8 (and for the mi-24 I do not own), so I had to download custom profiles shared on the Moza discord. I hope force trim works, since it's the main reason of my purchase (I've also added the damper on my pedals to have a more realistic rotor wing experience). I'll let you know as soon as I try.

Da Rift s certo. Anche da Rift s a Reverb G2 o a Quest 3 il salto è notevole. Evidentemente sei ancora su una vecchia versione di windows che ancora ha il portale wmr. E' probabile che usare contemporaneamente wmr e oasis crei casino. Quando passerai alla versione in cui wmr non funzionerà più, allora torneranno utili i driver oasis e a quel punto presumo funzioneranno anche.

Just bought a AB9 base, that's my solution. P.S. is there a profile for the UH-1H so that the force trim works as IRL?

Da windows 11 24h2 microsoft ha rimosso il portale windows mixed reality, abbandonando del tutto la tecnologia. Tutti i visori che usavano wmr, tra cui il reverb g2, sono diventati dei fermacarte. Questo finchè un buon samaritano non ha deciso di mettersi lì e sviluppare nuovi driver free, gli oasis appunto, per riportare in vita i visori abbandonati da microsoft. Ormai non ho più il reverb g2 per verificarne la qualità, ma a quanto pare funzionano. Per cui se hai già un reverb g2 non ti serve altro: scarica quei driver e inizia a volare, il visore che cerchi lo hai già in casa!

Io ho un quest 3, PC rifatto da poco con 9800x3d e 5080. Non comprerei un visore con risoluzione più elevata per poi dover scendere con gli fps oppure dover calare il dettaglio grafico. Se i nuovi driver Oasis funzionano io terrei il reverb g2 (era il visore che avevo prima del quest 3). Le lenti del quest 3 sono migliori, ma il g2 è più comodo e cosa non da poco si collega con l'uscita video. Per la PCVR rimane ad oggi ancora un ottimo visore, a patto che questi nuovi driver funzionino senza intoppi (io lo cambiai perchè si era rotto il cavo di collegamento video: il cavo nuovo costava 100 euro, ancora non c'erano i driver e aveva i mesi contati). Il mio vecchio PC (che ho ancora) aveva 5800x e 3080ti, sia con il G2 che con il quest 3 si giocava senza problemi. Ovviamente col nuovo PC si gioca meglio, ma la combinazione reggeva comunque benissimo.

Non c'è bisogno di scusarsi di alcunché; d'altra parte non credo di avere poteri di preveggenza, semplicamente questi della Razbam non mi hanno mai convinto: soprattutto seguendo alcune critiche nelle pagine dedicate ai loro moduli mi hanno sempre trasmesso brutte sensazioni, ma di certo mai avrei pensato che sarebbe andata a finire stile Veao, moltiplicato per quattro. Acquistare oggi un modulo che non sia direttamente di ED mi sa un po' di lotteria, sebbene questo c-130 mi interessi molto; spero di poterlo considerare in futuro (molto dipenderà anche da come la ED gestirà la faccenda Razbam, nel momento in cui sarà chiaro a tutti che non avremo mai più i loro moduli).

Non ho mai acquistato in early access, ma fatemi capire: il c-130j sarà già completo al D1 e quello che verrà aggiunto dopo sarà la versione aerocisterna? Ho capito bene?

Il mig-21 quando uscì era un gran modulo, ma poi è stato lasciato a sè stesso e attualmente versa in stato di totale abbandono. Questa terza parte parlava di un mig-21bis "2", un aggiornamento tipo a-10, ka-50 ed F-5, ma considerati i tempi biblici che ci hanno messo a fare un warbird e lo stato di incompletezza nel quale ancora versa all'uscita, credo che quell'aggiornamento non lo vedremo mai. Per parte mia, mai più terze parti. Che poi non è nemmeno vero, ho preso il 339, ma insomma mi limiterò proprio esclusivamente a quei velivoli per mio gusto imprescindibili (il 339 era uno di questi), per il resto solo ED. Almeno finchè dura DCS non rischio che i loro moduli vengano ritirati dal mercato, o abbandonati del tutto che in pratica è la stessa cosa.

Mah. Dopo tutti questi anni esce in early access con un sacco di roba ancora work in progress? Va bene che ci si lamenta sempre dei tempi di sviluppo di dcs, nonostante ormai quali sono lo si dovrebbe aver capito da un pezzo, ma con questo modulo non si sta forse andando un po' troppo oltre? A voi ispira fiducia?

Comunque sono passato da una 3080ti ad una 5080 e posso confermare che funziona benissimo e ha zero problemi. La verità è che, come per tutti i prodotti, esce sempre qualche esemplare difettoso e chi ha la sfortuna di acquistarne uno è quello che poi va a scrivere sui vari forum dedicati. Senza contare che ci sono alcune testate di settore, quelle sì "fanboyste" (se così si può dire), che si buttano sugli aneddoti facendone casi di stato per tirare acqua al loro mulino. E così gli Intel 13th e 14th hanno tutti il degrado precoce, gli AMD x3d si bruciano nei socket e le serie 5000 mandano in fiamme i connettori. Poi quando vai a vedere, spesso e volentieri, molti dei casi succitati dipendono da maldestre installazioni o da tentativi di modifica dei rispettivi possessori. Come quelli che fanno il tuning alla centralina, sostituiscono il compressore e lo scarico e poi vanno sui forum a lamentarsi che c'è il difetto per cui si bruciano il cambio e la frizione dopo 5000 km, ovviamente senza minimamente accennare al tuning che hanno fatto. Ora non voglio dire che non esistano le GPU o le CPU difettose, ma la cosa più probabile è che se uno compera un oggetto, al 99% si ritrova in mano la versione standard, regolare, senza difetti, e non è certo dalle notizie sugli sporadici casi di esemplari difettosi che uno deve valutare quale sia la scheda video o la cpu adatta alle sue esigenze. La sfortuna di beccare l'esemplare difettoso può sempre capitare, ed è per quello che esiste la garanzia.
