You MUST be kidding me Trigger, that servo and gear setup will take your foot off and fracture you femur ;) ITS HUUUUUUUGE!!! Letterings look realy nice and straight (which i allways have a problem with) If you have more complicated stuff than letters you can use "Inkjet water transfer film" to make decals. but remember to put some gloss clear cote on first (johnssons floor polish will work) so you get a blank surface for the decal, otherwise it will look slightly silvery when dry due to trapped air under the decal. To bend the decal over a curved surface apply some diluted vinegar to soften up the decal once you put it on, 1.5%-3% is plenty enough, then spray with flat cote when dry. how much did the switches set you back mate, they look really good! -

LOL I couldn't agree more with you more trigger, Norway is soo beautiful up north, with the emerald fjords and the dramatic landscape. (I loved to fly the EF2000 sim buzzing around in the fjords) and if it wasn't for the cold water and the "klegg" (a cross between a bloodsucking fly and a big bee) i wouldn't mind living there myself... -
If they can Hurry up and release it in stores in sweden they will sell atleast one more copy :) been waiting for it for it for 6 or so years now

LOL, well the weather was particularly good that week so i cant say i regret going :) Remember to put a thick coat of lacquer on top of the lettering, I have had some experiences with dry transfers wearing out quite fast, but then again it is one of the techniques used for weathering plastics models ;) so if you wait a while befor coating it it might look a bit used aswell for added bonus :P -

WOOOT i go off for a weeks holiday to play golf and you manage to not only finish your CNC mill and get a nice control box for it, but also build a set of FFB pedals from an old steering column!!!!! I gotta stop playing golf and continue working on my stick... -

I have seen depression strike in a couple of friends. and when it does it is a dramatic change. I'm not saying that this is the case but it would explain the behavior. When ppl get clinically depressed most can't cope with the outside world or even the basic mundane tasks and seclude them self, A former coworker of mine just stopped showing up at work once, we tried to contact him and so on just to find out after 6 weeks that he had fallen into depression and had been put into hospital... I get that your upset having lost a lot of money, and i'm not defending anyone, i just fear that there is more to this than a money scam... -

iiiiihhh mind that xy table when milling the clear acrylic, put a piece of "masonite" (i think it is a brand name so it might be correct in english to) between the clear acrylic and the xy table. the shop teacher freaked out pretty good when we "forgot" to use a sacrifisial board, back in school ;)

guess your flying electrics from now on since the fuel tank is used as a reservoir :) Great stuff Trigger, i'm green with envy. Keep it up // Trekki -
i cant take credit for it, i found it on the dsc forum, but cant remember who posted it. It seems if read the right drawing from trigger that his ABRIS is a bit smaller, but i will leave the final word to trigger on that one. If you dont plan on drawing everything from scratch yourself, i would recommend gooing for triggers measurements as he's got most things drawn already and it fits together.
-
well it states the dimensions for the ABRIS here... not an analogue gauge but it should work just aswell http://trekki.no-ip.org/images/photos/Blackshark/ABRIS_eng.pdf 220Х260Х147 mm; 5,5 kg

X52 pro really better than x52?
Swetrekki replied to SuDepp's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
never had the regular x52, but i had a lot of older x39 and upwards. The older ones had issues, especially with the rudder rocker on the throttle. If it's down to luck on my part or not i don't know, but so far i haven't had any problems with pot's going off behaving badly. And I have had the x52PRO since the launch in Sweden (2 weeks after UK release i think) I still think the cyclic grip button layout can be improved, but as long as you don't have any issues with that, i say go for it. -
http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36689 thats the new combined build thread, perhaps best to carry on in that one...

Looking good! how is the horizontal stability? i would imagine that you would not just put forces on the x and y axis but also the z axiz (up and down, foot pressing downwards to the floor) I would imagine that you could put a bracket and a second stop on the front and use them as a sort of sliding surface for the aluminum rod if there turns out to be a problem.... hopefully that's not going to be the the case, that axle you got looks pretty beefy :) Edit: swetrekki will soon be a verry verry happy swetrekki, Leo bodnar confirmed shipment and the joystick should be on its way tomorrow. Yes, i'm a happy camper :) -

well if i understood correctly (reading on his forum) all chips made after 2007 something had the encoder ability, but no i havn't tried it yet, im still waiting for the post office to deliver it :joystick: I'll see if i can find that thread on his forum for you. here we go : http://www.leobodnar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=125 and for the regular one: http://www.leobodnar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=115 and from the man himself "If you configure BU0836 into encoder mode http://www.leobodnar.com/products/BU083 ... coders.exe you won't need this circuit (only works for post Dec'07 devices). Just connect one switch as normally to e.g. button 1 and leave button 2 unconnected. This is, basically, an encoder with two positions. In Windows you'll get pulse on button 1 when you close the switch and on button 2 when you open it. The downside is button 2 must remain unconnected and you won't have LEDs unless you use dual pole switches." -

hmmm i think that you dont actually need to bet the bigger one, just the program at leos site to enable 2 input channels to act as a rotary encoder...
