rocketeer, i think JimMack meant that the ultimate would be a simpit, like the once trigger is building WITH a motion platform similar to that simchair... Trigger deserves loads of cred! no shadow on him.

the new proc is great, i had the opportunity to play around with a setup that intel dropped by the office with prior to its official release actually... the best thing about that rig was that if the application only used one core it could turn up the power to that core and overclock it while turning down the other ones and by dooing so keeping the watts in check. its a great overclocker aswell. (no im not hired by intel) Im quite happy with my E8500 though and i will keep running that for quite some time, but if i was on the market for a new cpu today there wouldnt be any doubt where i would put my money... // Trekki

well to be honest my "pit chair" since it is nothing else at the moment, wont be made just for BS, there is always Falcon 4 ;) But we just bought a house so there will definitely give me more room for a permanent simpit, and then a more serious installation is a must... i looked at xkeys but if im gooing to end up spending money (the usb keyboard is piling up, so there at no expence) im gooing to get myself a opencockpits card instead. and in the end that probably what i will do, but im not ready to give up on the keyboard controller just yet. i asked a couple of questions in the autokey forum and here is the link ( if anyone else is interested on how to separate between hid devices. ) http://www.autohotkey.net/~Micha/HIDsupport/Autohotkey.html I Still dont know how well this will work but hopes are high :) // Trekki

Hi, so set your worries aside, i had the x36 to start with and the rocker was very nice and all, but it had its flaws.. replaces mine 3 times... it actually got bad enough for me to switch to logitech for a while. I to missed the rocker in the beginning when i updated to x52 pro, but the twist works just fine, and i use it in most games rather then the pedals that i have sitting under my chair (well they are good for braking with ;) ). To: ROBGORDON and KAOS.DLL Also, the LED on the x52pro can be made to change color based on what your doing in the game ie color change when you launch a missile in F4. BUT. it needs to be programed using the SDK that saitek supply so if you dont know your way around it then you will have to sit and wait for someone to do it for you.... (a good example is Raptor007's Falcon 4 x52 pro utillity.) // Trekki

Aslong as BS is released soon i got 50Mbit upstream to host until the 27'th of feb.. and then i'm moving house to a regular "copper" DSL... However I fear that ED will not release the western version sooner just because im loosing my fiber ;)

oakes, can this be used in conjunction with a second usb keyboard aswell to send and then release shift and alt commands, making it possible to hack an old usb keyboard and put a regular 2 or 3 state switch? ie. SHIFT+G - Gear down G - Wheel brake this would of course mean that Autokey would be able to separate from 2 different usb keyboards otherwice i guess i wouldn't be able to make use of my regular keyboard... // trekki

well since i started looking into it, it seems that opencockpit that uses SIOC can be used with Lua, a french fellow, has created a software to make it easier to configure. (losioc)http://charles.contact.free.fr/ the site is in french so that is causing me a great deal of problem since i only know 5 words in french... but anyway it exists so i guess that is a confirmed YES :)
