  1. Just with the "search then engage in zone" enroute task worked fine. The A10C fired their mavericks at certaint distance, then orbited the zone dropping bombs until everything was destroyed. Finally they return to base following their route. They did not attack a couple of Ka50 who were orbitting about 5 miles aways of the designated zone.

  3. I'm slowly learning ME and MOOSE (quite slowly :smartass:), just testing what it can be done. I'm now editting a very simple mission where I must grant air superiority while a flight of A10s brings havoc to the enemy position. It is a bunch of ground targets, air defenses, infantry and static objects. So far, I haven't done any scripting. I see I can set CAS to the A10s and then at the proper waypoint set them to Perform task -> Attack unit (or group). But I have to click one by one and create a new action for each unit or group. Also, I assume the order of the actions sets the priority for the targets? They will try to destroy first the targets of the first action, and so on? My main question is, is there any way (in ME or with scripting) to tell the flight "Destroy everything red within this zone"?
  4. Hi. This is probably solved somewhere, but I cannot find it. The "Set gunner seat" command, by default "3" key, only allows me to click on the keyboard column, the throttle and joystick columns are disabled. I'm using a T16000 and TWCS. I have the 1 and 2 keys, set pilot and copilot seats, assigned to T16000's buttons working fine

  6. I'm just messing around with MOOSE, testing and learning. I'm playing with the RAT class to add some "random-ish" unexpected civil traffic. My problem is that as I am force to chose a side for every country, the random A380s are downed either by blue or red air defenses. Is there a way to prevent SAM's from attacking a certaint group id, or aircraft id, or anything like that? EDIT: and I have not tested it yet, but as I'm writting this I'm thinking AI aircrafts set to weapons free ROE would also attack "civil" planes, right?
  7. +1 I have had the opportunity to try other flight sim, civil focused, with VR. Nothing compared with DCS, but the only thing I found way better was that. I was able to click switches easily because I had full control over the mouse, I didn't have to look down (which IRL I wouldn't do) to press stuff, just move the mouse. And I could even look around while the cursor didn't move! Here I have to stare the switch I need to press, and I usually lose some valuable time until the cursos stops moving with my head

In case anyone is bored and interested enough, you can download 100 pages of the manual posted on Avialogs' website (I'm asuming the full manual is longer, as in the url it does says "preview") https://www.avialogs.com/images/photos/docs/1211/6494/preview/6494-p100-normal.jpg Just change the p100 for p1 to p100. I guess you could download all 100 jpgs with a simple script and then merge the 100 pages into a pdf. PD: or you could pay for it, they do say it is for a good cause :)

  11. Hi I'm editing the old F15's "An eye for an eye" campaign (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=140628) to fly it with the F18. I do not know if it would work, or some triggers would not, but as I "know what it is supposed to happen on each mission" I want to try it :) My first problem is that I have change the singleplayer 2 aircraft flight from F15 to F18 and set the loadout to 6xAim9. 2xAim7 and 3xFuel. When I play the mission, player's plane is ok, but my wingman appears without any loadout. I've check in the mission editor and both the player and wingman have set the loadout, but obviously I'm doing something wrong. What am I missing? Thanks!   12. I would like to download the manual too :) I'm traveling due to work and won't be able to download the full module until Sunday, so I would love to at least start studying the manual these days while flying in those boring real-life commercial flights... :pilotfly:

I'm playing the Vulcan Forge campaign (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3134805/?sphrase_id=9808604) and I have been stuck in mission 4 for a couple of days because I cannot manage to use properly the AGM-65H. I've been checking youtube tutorials without success. I'm supposed to destroy a couple of targets that are lased in the frecuency 1688. My procedure is: 1.- Sensor AFT to select laser mode 2.- Enter 1688 + ENT to enter the laser code 3.- Wait until target acquire I have no problem acquiring the target, but now I don't know how to slave the AGM-65H to that target. I have finally ended up finding the target myself manually, but I imagine this is not te right way to do it. 4.- Uncage 5.- Sensor FWD 6.- Slew until acquire target 7.- Release the maverick, and hit some tree, house or whatever because I selected the wrong target The targets are in a populated area full of trees and civil houses, and I are specifically asked to take extremelly care not to blow up some poor guy's homes... I got angry and completed the mission with my rockets and guns :music_whistling: But I would like to learn how to do it properly. Thank you!
  16. Is it possible to disable, hide, or make them dissapear? I use Oculus, and sometimes I need to put the controllers under my seat, so I only see them while looking down...
  17. I've just finished the campaign. Totally loved it, I bought it a couple months ago (I haven't played "too much" and I started learning to fly with the F15 so I'm still a noob, that's probably why it took me so long), and I've enjoyed every second of it. Really inmersive, I felt bad every time wingman went down (luckily he is some kind of inmortal guy and he resurrects every time... :smilewink:) And that credits at the end, with the sun rising? I was considering buying the Mirage, and now as I read you did a second part of the campaign for that module, I feel obliged to buy it!

I guess this does not affect at all the mission (I'm in the middle of it, I haven't finished it yet), but I'm finding this very funny While flying my mission AWACS notified some engine problem and was forced to RTB. My wingman and I continued and at some point we went winchester and needed to RTB also. I have just rearmed and refueled, and I'm taxiing to runway when I see this (see attached). The AWACS is stuck because there are some infantry toops in the middle of the road. They were there at the beginning of the mission, I passed near them before. They do not obstruct the taxi path to runway, but I guess AWACS decided to park just in the only parking spot that is obstruct by them. And to add more fun, my wingman just crashed with AWACS :megalol: I don't know if the spot where the AI parks is pre-determined or it is randomly selected, but I thought this might be worth sharing. So far, loving the campaign :)

  20. I bought a new pc and yesterday I installed 2.1 and the modules without any troubles. This evening I've installed 1.5 and log in my account, but my modules do not pop up to be installed. When I enter in the in-game modules browser it only lets me buy them again. Is this due to the maintenance? Perhaps the authentication server is not online yet of something like that? Or am I missing some step? :)
  21. Hi. I've been looking but I still don't know how to act. I'm having troubles in the 5th mission of Salted wounds (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1840934/). I'm required to escort two C17s, and we are intercepted by two Mig31s at ~35000 feets. My wingman and I climb to face them while they are at 80-100 miles. The problem is that they don't mind us and fire long range R33s directly to the C17s way before we have the MIGs at range. And eventually one of those missiles hit one of them. My question is how to deal with that. I've tried a couple of times with the same result. One solution obviously would be to abandond the escort earlier, but I'm required to stay in formation until ordered to engage (and also, I know where the bandits are because I have replayed the mission lots of times, but I'm not supposed to know in advance, so that would be "cheating").   24. I had a similar issue some days ago, and as I read here that in the next update it will be fixed I haven't play the campaign again. I have read your explanation about how to skip this mission through the mission editor, but I would like to get the +1 campaign in the logbook :) I have just read a random thread saying that you can modify this file to alter your stats. It seems you can also edit your progress in the campaigns. I've tried and it seems to work, when I launch the Georgian War it shows me the 4th mission. This is the thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=106193 It seems the structure is simple, there is a log of all the missions you play, and the last entry which has only two properties is the one that tells what is your current mission.
