  1. Good day, i've in my mind to change my old 22.5'' 1680x1050 monitor for a new one. I've recently upgraded my GPU with a Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming. My budget isn't great, so i have only 2 choice: -24'' 1440p monitor @60hz 2560x1440 (Lenovo L24q-10 23.8" Quad HD IPS) -25'' 1080p 21:9 2560x1080 @75hz ( LG 25UM58 ) Better to have a 16:9 2K monitor or a full HD 21:9? I'm not able to choice a bigger monitor due to very small desktop space. so i must stay in 23/25'' range. I need advise for my choice.
  2. So if i use MSAA 2x in game options i will able to effectively use mfaa via Nvidia control panel? It's right?
  4. I've experimented several game crash when i use deferred shading. If i turn it off with HDR ON no crashes at all, but terrain looks too bright, expecially trees. My pc spec: I7-3770 @ 4,1ghz Gigabyte gtx 1070 G1 gaming 16gb DDR3 2400 Dcs 2.5 installed on SSD
  5. I've also the same (too) bright trees with deferred shading off and HDR on. With deferred shading ON trees (and general global illumination) looks perfect, but i've experienced several DCS crash with deferred ON.
  6. I think only developers can answer this...
  7. I don't have Normandy, and my 2.2 is about 64Gb... so my space should be enough...
  8. Yes, i hope so. Naturally once finished the installation process of 2.5 i will move 1.5.8 on the other drive. taking them installed for a short period, just the time to test new 2.5 I hope 140gb will be enough.
  9. I've a question: i have my 1.5.8 OB in ssd drive C:, with 140gb of free space remaining. I've also 2.2 installed in another HDD drive, with plenty free space, called D:, only to reduce download size for Nevada map. Obviously i'd want to install 2.5 in my SSD drive C: I don't know if this 140gb are enough for the entire installation process of 2.5 (download, extraction and installation). If i move my 1.5.8OB to the D: drive, but making a symbolic link to drive C:, i will able to install 2.5 on SSD drive C:? Will the installer point to the symbolic link drive? Naturally the registry path for current 1.5.8 OB will remain on original drive c:. With this procedure i'm able to free another 34gb (size of my current OB) on drive C:, with a total free space of 174Gb. Could it works? Honestly i don't know...
  10. I was in your same situation. I've simply added this strings manually in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World OpenBeta and for each of them i've added a string called "Path" with the folder of installation. I hope it will works.
  11. Yes, i have also FPS drop using NAVFLIR on hud, for example. but i think it's normal. And i have a GTX 1070, and with navflir my fps drop to 30-40. With Flir off i have rock solid 60fps. I'm waiting to try it with the upcoming 2.x release, to see if something change.
  12. I have a problem in deploying countermeasures. If i use the mapped button for release single chaff or single flares everythings is ok. But if i try to use the right button (deploying all) it doesn't work at all.
  13. Thank you guys! With "TDC Action/No Action Toggle" you can switch the DMT Slew speed between slow and high. Solved for me! Thank you again.
  14. Unfortunately i cannot assign TDC on axis in future, i have only buttons for it. i haven't thumb stick on my Saitek X52.
  15. I have a doubt about the speed of TDC slew. Sometimes i feel it very slow. There's a method to speed up movement on TDC cursor? Or it's a fixed speed?
  16. With the recent hotfix, using Nvidia driver 388.43, i can confirm that everything run smooth with rock solid 60 fps. Well done!
  17. I flew the free flight mission in quickstart, starting airborne.
  18. As written in the official thread I have to confirm poor performance on Harrier. With my setting i have a rock solid 60fps in both 1.5 and 2.1, with every plane i have (A10C, F-5, FC3) and in every situations. Using Harrier my fps drops between 20/25 in cockpit view.
  19. I have to confirm poor performance on Harrier. With my setting i have a rock solid 60fps in both 1.5 and 2.1, with every plane i have (A10C, F-5, FC3) and in every situations. Using Harrier my fps drops between 20/25 in cockpit view.
  20. Sorry for that. My 3 years old son, when i watch any sort of dcs video, doesn't leave me alone. Take the joystick in his hands and try to fly, causing confusion in my head! :-D
  21. Just one question: despite the ability of using laser guided bombs spotted by JTAC, can the AV8B use laser to spot target autonomously with AN/AAQ-28V LITENING targeting pod?
  22. thank you so much! ;-)
  23. Confirm also... Mission 6, no message at all, from intel, from wingman, from awac...nothing at all. Everything is mute. I've reached waypoint 4 in mission 6 without any indication, after i've simply aborted the mission. Totally unplayable at the moment.
  24. I have experienced the same issue both on 1.5 and 2.1. Main attitude indicator, backup ADI and radar antenna becomes inaccurate after several minutes of flight.
  25. Ok, thanks... one more question: if i deactivate a campaign i will not lose my progress, right?
