Open beta sir... ive tried all of them i had modules for as I love the idea only got guardians to work once :( I make aure I update the scripts I took a pic of the error just tried a fresh ninstall of east med defense. Id really really appreciate help with this. I really wanna fly the f14 in these and the iran camp. I really also wanted to fly my f15 and mig 21 in dce Heres the error. Besides campaign specific this IIRC is the same error I always get. I follow the instructions given to a t - I even put the files and created folders for mods missions campaigns dce etc. I tried every suggestion Ive seen others. Im 99% its the 2.9 open beta I play. This has happened in both east med and the other carrier grp dce. Guardians of cauxauses and the iran f14 dce. Ill add I can fly the first mission. I get the error post mission no matter what I do. How can i upload a pic from my cellphone? The error says C:users bla bla bla attempt to index local logfile (nil value) C: ? String ? C: users bla bla 179: in function of one event String c: scripts etc 13: in: Function c: strings bla bla : 11

Ive postes multiple timed for your help and shown what the issue is. Id appreciate any help pleeeeasse

@mbot please help I cant ever get your dynamic campaigns working. I always get an error quitting the mission.

While we are on it the Within Viz Range menu tab is pointless. It always leads to ONE option. Jettison tanks. Couldnt that space be used more or more wisely?

Be careful asking before someone indignantly asks if youre "done" ; say you arent contributing ( didnt know buying HB and posting here wasnt) and say youre essentially wasting space - then lean into a more useless post flaming you.( cof scroll up)with your legit question and some other fanboy hypocritically piles on

Ok so I named 2 major things the plane is missing. On a thread about the F14. I mever said itd never happen I said I was concerned. Exactly when did you and this dude get to decide who gets to say what? Where did I insult anyone or exagerrate anything? The games been out a year no? We have heard little about the F14 no? Pls, show me where. Because this frankly seems more like a case of you guys just attacking a person on a forum dedicated to discussing the F14, on a thread about the F14a, for saying theyre concerned at the lack of news over the F14. Indeed if anyone seems to be exagerrating or not helping antthing its you two - youre flaming a legitimate response. I named things the F14 A will have. I dont see you flaming everyone else mentioning additions. I expressed concern frankly also given the flux DCS is in which in turn is affecting HB. Im actually not new, but perhaps you guys should wonder why the DCS forums have a reputation of snobbery and unfriendliness. Read my response above about the UH1 multicrew. Because me bringing this up - though I never said itd take as long or even mentioned the episode - isnt crazy or some dumb question at all. People miss posts all the time; but yes you should have a macro to mock people asking if perhaps they missed a post or speculation about the promised F14A module. Ive had it 4 or 5 years - i just heard apparently they added multicrew finally. I never even said the F14 would take so long but this is an obvious example and if I missed a post I was hoping a non a hole would say "hey actually xx changed". And "shame" on you - you complain my post adds nothing, when your post *literally* contributes nothing and is out of line as youre not a mod.

On the cats Ive noticed going to f2 view to look at pressing salute seems to make it work. Sounds bizarre but you see the dude salute and rio hold the handle. Everytime ive done it even if theres a delay im off in 5 seconds. The PITA is hooking up if u overshoot the cat your all done. And u gotta remember to make her kneel to link up Also I bound a second key to the salute function. Since then no probs. Wish I could get mbots campaigns to work or his help tho :(

Uin frankly getting nervous about the f14. Theres just no news. Screw the forrestal. The f14 was promised to buyers of this module. You guys forgot glove vanes and the weakass TF30. Engines which were prone to compressor stalls. It makes it a near different airplane. I for one am concerned theyll end up saying they arent making the A model we have heard so much. The games been out a year. I havent seen pix of a F14 A only second handnword they wanted it out by the 1 year anniversery. Frankly I dont believe it. Hope Im wrong

@Mbot - I dont know what Im doing wrong. I got your mig21 campaign to work 2x in the past then never again. I got another campaign to work for a joyous couple days and it stopped. I dont know what Im doing but considering I seem to mess up basic mods or mission installs I think its mt lack of experience. Can u or some pls help me figure this out? Id be more than happy to play the campaign as single missions old school style. I love the idea of how this works. Im gonna post a smaller similar post on your other thread. Guys thabks for rhe advice. Yes when i got the caucahses stuff to work it was runnin as admin. Yes i always check thw lua file. Interesringly thw campaign results lua frm guardians wasnt made again aftwr i deleted thw first to restart campaign. I also run as admin bc that did help. But now nothing helps I dont have NTTR much to mt chagrin cuz the map is so much better looking and al the new mbot campaigns are going there. Cud anyone PM me step bt step instructions for like thw cauc. Frogfoot or flanker or eagle campaign.. For idiots. I alrdy know abt the lua edits ib scripting and to run as admin. The dynamic campaigns... Its hard to go back to the scripted ones after.

For some reason following all the insyructions for guardians of the caucauses, or any of the dce campaigns in the caucauses the mission results wont save and the campaign wont progress. It just keeps going to first mission. I had the newer dce campaigns working VERY briefly then now when I end a mission i get a pop up error screen. Same error screen thats been posted before. Can anyone offer advice and also can anyone possibly tell me how i could say switch out the player aircraft. Lets say i want to use an F5 in the last squadron campaign or su33..?
