Hi. I have an Acer predator 300 running a 2070rtx graphics card and 16 gig ram. I have rift cv vr and want to update so hopefully I will be able to see enemy aircraft sooner. Does anyone know if my laptop will run rift s and how much difference will it make? Or any other useful advice. Thanks. Buck_Rogers.

Thanks for your help m8. but this is ridiculous. I updated yesterday, it took me 10 hours, now I have to update again before I can fly the hornet? why didn't they have the upto date version yesterday? I swear I will never buy another module.

I only installed 2.5.2 yesterday. Now you say i have to run the updater again? when i do it is 27.529.1 meg. is this right?

Hi guys. when I go into modules the hornet is there and when I click it it just starts to download. but then I get a message saying "unknown module f18-c". I am running 2.5.2 open beta. help please. I have tried turning off my firewall but still the same. thanks.

I know it's large m8. as i said, I have downloaded it 3 times and it doesn't work. I need to know how to fix it. I pre ordered the gulf map and the hornet and I'm pretty p----- off I cant play them.

I have updated it 3 times. each time takes me about 9 hrs.

I have tried 3 times now to update so I can install the new map. each time I do it I run the repair first. It then seem to download but right at the end it says it cant delete some file. sorry i cant be more specific I forgot. I then close the small warning window and my game is not updated. can somebody please help? and why do they have to make it so difficult? what is wrong with some type of auto update option. thanks, Huggy.:(

just be careful u dont try to put the glass on top of the instrument panel. as i have done.

"isn't quite there yet" it has been exactly the same for ages. ED knows about it and is doing nothing about it.

i think that would be a great idea. i will learn the harrier just so i can bomb port stanley. build it and they will come.

we (multiplayer) pay all this money and get treated like second class citizens. please give multiplayer some love. and VR combined arms.

combined arms is what is going make dcs great.there is work going on on a players server that impliments it how it should be used. and i can tell u from playing on it that it is truly amazing. it turns dcs from a flight sim into full on Digital Combat Simulator! all out war, where team work has never been so important. you have the guys in their planes attacking and capping, helos spawning tanks, atillery, jtac, support trucks and strategically sending them on there missions. when you play this you will demand combined arms gets the love it deserves. because at the moment, i don't think ED know just how great this game is becoming. what is needed now is improvements to multiplayer, combined arms and for them to work with this particular person who created this amazing server,and you will have the best full on war simulator ever! imho the best game of all time. espcially in VR!

JUST GET IT! You wont be disappointed. I have all the helo's and most of the fixed wing stuff but i'm in that baby 90+% of my time. it seems like a bit of a bus at first, but once you get the hang of it, it rocks! It's fast, the best sling loader and has some decent weapons. used with combined arms it is amazing. it opens up another side of the game (sry sim)you can help your team m8's with stuff for the base or you can build your own attack force to go and attack an enemy base. just don't descend vertically faster that 3m a second and you'll be fine.

no, i'm no expert. but, you don't seem like much of an expert either. the problem I see when using vr is only that in the first person view, when you move your head left your turret goes right etc. surly for the experts, this isn't a big problem to fix. what do you think mr expert?

I have bought combined arms but because I use VR, using tactical commander on multiplayer is totally useless. and as that was the only reason I bought it I feel like I have been conned. I can direct vehicles on the f10 map but that is all. when is this problem going to be sorted out? Until this is fixed there should be a warning on the description, explaining that it is unusable in VR. I'm no expert but it doesn't look like too difficult a problem to fix. so why hasn't it been fixed by now? so us VR users can get what we paid for? :mad:

Drexx m8. they should be paying you! If it wasn't for your server, I'm not sure I would even be playing DCS. Spending my cash on there stuff. You pointed out all the crap. I like to fly the MI-8 sling loading and I think this is the worst module for the 3 second stutter. sling loading is difficult enough as it is. and then there's the crashing. its bad enough for most people, but when you've spent 3 or 4 hours slinging a convoy or whatever only for it to crash it really pi"@es you off. then it restarts and it happens again. The CTLD menu so frustrating when you have slots for helo's and you might be able to save a base, only to find that your helo is completely useless. I love the game but, I can only take so much. Keep up the good work m8. hopefully they will give these problems the attention that is so badly needed. STOP PUTTING MULTIPLAYER ON THE BACK BURNER, IT SERIOUSLY NEEDS PROPER TESTING

I also have purchased missions so I actually like to play offline with the many hundreds of dollars of modules I purchased with the knowledge I would be able to play both offline and online. could you please explain to me how I can play with all my stuff when I am cruising up the remote Queensland coast? I may be traveling out of wifi and phone coverage areas for weeks at a time, I may be stuck in an anchorage waiting for good weather or I may just be staying out for pleasure. please explain. thanks Huggy.

not what i paid for. I bought all of my planes assets maps etc with the intent of using them offline/online. I live on a yacht in Queensland Australia. even on land phone coverage is bad, but I live on a yacht. and my internet is mobile wifi. I can, and do spend weeks without a phone signal and internet. I like to play offline when i'm at sea or anchored up in some remote place. I don't really know what this new procedure is but it sounds like you might be removing my aircraft which I have paid many hundreds of dollars for. please tell me I am mistaken and my stuff isn't going to be taken from me.:mad:
