  1. Problem solved. For whatever reason "flir_texture.dds to DCS\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\IndicationResources\MDG\" was NOT copied. The original DCS file was still listed. A manual copy and paste from your zip file did the trick. Great, great, great mod! Installation, however, needed significant rework. Thanks for your hard work on this. It has made TGP, in particular, much more user friendly! Good hunting! Radial Madness
  2. Hi Harker, I want to use this mod badly but seem to be having issues with the latest DCS "stable" version recognizing your work! Using your zip file "FA-18C_LCD_MDIs.Zip, I extract "FA-18C Hornet LCD MDIs by Harker" into my Username\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries folder. I then extract the "Mods" folder into the DCS World\_Mods folder for OvGME activation. I am able to activate the "Mods" in OvGME but launching DCS and checking Options/Special/Custom Cockpit only shows the default cockpit as an option. Launching a mission shows the standard green MDIs. I've spent hours on this to no avail and I'm not unfamiliar with mod installation. Ay suggestions? This looks great! Thanks in advance. Radial Madness
  3. Well no response for a week and I decided to take matters in my own hands (I must say I am a bit disappointed in the support on this). In order to get the campaign moving again I created a new entry to the logbook.lua (after backing up the original of course) that looks like this: [46] = { ["datetime"] = "Mon Mar 21 16:01:49 2022", ["agKills"] = 0, ["aaKills"] = 0, ["result"] = 0, ["deathsCount"] = 0, ["stage"] = 11, ["mission"] = "CI_10_v2.miz", }, -- end of [46] This enabled the campaign to move on to mission 10 (It shows mission 10 as a failure in the campaign summary screen but now allows it to be the active mission). For any users that find themselves in a similar situation, I hope this will help you to continue your progression.
  4. As the title says, I have completed Mission 09 Warmonger successfully but the campaign is stuck and will not progress. Here is the latest entry from logbook.lua: [45] = { ["datetime"] = "Thu Mar 17 14:36:18 2022", ["aaKills"] = 0, ["agKills"] = 0, ["stage"] = 10, ["skipped"] = true, ["deathsCount"] = 0, ["result"] = 100, ["mission"] = "CI_09_v2.miz", }, -- end of [45] Any help to move this forward is greatly appreciated. I have been enjoying this campaign immensely! Thanks!
  5. LOL! I noticed that right away and thought "WTF, why are all the switches in different positions"? I'm really not complaining, however, since the effort that has gone into A-10C II has shown ED's dedication to the Hawg without trashing v1.0. I am truly grateful!
  6. Ok, see that they moved the Mav button over to the left MFD. I assume this is due in part to the A-10C II cockpit upgrade. I had hoped it wouldn't affect the original. What other surprises await?! Cheers!
  7. As the title says after this last DCS update the MAV page is unavailable in the MFD. It's simply not listed. TGP, CDU, STAT & MSG are there but NO Mav! I tried a DCS repair but no joy. The problem exists for instant action, missions and campaigns. Forum and Google searches haven't listed anything so am I unique? Any guidance is appreciated.
  8. The first attachment is from a recent A-10C II video on YouTube. The second attachment is a screenshot from my PC. Close inspection reveals little difference. I'm suspecting that my perception of higher resolution on recent YouTube videos has more to do with wearing progressive lenses than with resolution differences. YouTube videos force a lense wearer to adjust head angle for optimum focus. In game, however, the head angle is constantly shifting, hence slight blurring when the angle is not optimal. Many thanks to all who replied and inspired me to make an apples to apples check. Cheers!
  9. Bossco, I agree that I cannot expect to see the same sharpness in game as a higher res monitor. However, my question is why do I see sharper cockpit detail in some YouTube DCS videos than in game? I would expect the YouTube videos to look no better than my in game experience. It's as if I am getting 1440p detail on a 1080p screen. Unexpected and maybe unsolvable. Thanks for the reply. It is appreciated.
  10. I currently use a Samsung 32 inch LCD TV as my monitor (1920 X 1080) and it has worked well for a couple of years now with DCS. I notice, however, that certain YouTube videos on DCS A-10C show significantly sharper detail than I see in game. My question is: If I see higher resolution in YouTube than in game how is this possible? Is there an in game setting that is integral to optimizing resolution? My system specs are: Intel I7-8700K Windows 10 Pro 64 (48GB RAM) Nvidia GTX-1080 (8GB VRAM) It seems logical that the resolution I see in YouTube should be achievable in game. Any insights are appreciated!
  11. Sorry for the late reply. No, I could never get the AI to assist and there are too many targets (well obstructed too) for my single aircraft. I hope you had better luck than me!
  12. Deleted shader cache and it improved NVGs enough to complete the mission. Thanks Squid and Puma for your assistance.
  13. Disabling the mod was unsuccessful so I will try deleting the shader cache next.
  14. Hey Squid, Yes, I have adjusted the NVG gain down as far as possible but no joy. I watched your video out of curiosity and the lightning strikes are clear and not blurred and overly bright blobs like I see. Since you are seeing what others have posted on YouTube videos it has to be my setup. Thinking about it and realizing that the gain adjustment is all I can change in game, I remembered that I installed "Tacca's DCS 2.5 NVG Mod" awhile back and this may be what is causing the issue. I will uninstall it and report back. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond in such detail!
  15. I'm trying to complete mission 4 in Stone Shield (night time mission providing CAS to Spec Ops troops). The Spec Ops come under attack at one point after picking up a high value target. They call for support and when I roll in with NVGs enabled, the glare from the enemy tracers is blinding and makes accurate gun targeting impossible. I have lowered the NVG brightness to the absolute minimum but to no effect. The glare remains insurmountable. Is there a DCS setting that I am missing because I have seen YouTube videos of this mission and the glare problem is pretty mild and the NVGs were not set to minimum brightness. Any help is appreciated.
  16. Was tooling around with Mission 2 and used a custom loadout. Dropped the bridge (yes, the right one!) and never received the mission success notification and the BA report showed a score of 50. Using the default loadout I dropped the bridge and was given a mission success. Am I correct in assuming that weapon changes are not allowed in the mission planner?
  17. Hey Emmy, 1. So I am learning! 2. Yes, I directed them to attack from the South but a Southeastern attack may avoid intersecting the road while lining up to attack. Thanks for the idea!
  18. I’ve been attempting to complete the last mission in the excellent TTQ campaign but seem to be running up against wingmen AI shortcomings and/or A-10 targeting limitations. The two defined targets briefing targets are representative: Target 1: A command post with several support vehicles is sitting in the middle of an open field. The target coordinates given in the briefing are spot on. With the command post set as SPI and shared via DMS left long, the flight is instructed to attack the target with unguided bombs from the south. They respond “Roger” but never hook the target. They call “Rejoining” after about 30 seconds from instruction. The same result occurs if they are ordered to use guided bombs. If the flight is instructed to attack with mavericks they attack and successfully destroy the command post and supporting vehicles. We are flying at 10,000 ft and are about 6 miles south of the target when initiating attack instructions in both cases. Any ideas why the flight will not engage with bombs? Target 2: A large tank convoy (approximately 12 tanks including SAMs) is traveling southeast along a narrow road with trees on both sides of the roadway for its entire length. I can locate the convoy via TGP and share my SPI but repeated instructions to engage air defenses with mavericks are met with the dreaded “Roger” followed shortly by “Rejoining”. I am assuming this is due to interference from the tree line on either side of the roadway. Since there is no portion of the roadway that is clear of trees, what tips do you recommend to get the AI to engage? This is the last mission in the campaign and, although I would like to complete it, I have learned a great deal to this point and can accept moving on if there are no good suggestions for the above scenarios. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Scenario 2: A large tank convoy (approximately 12 tanks including 2 SA-9s) is traveling southeast along a narrow road with trees on both sides of the roadway for its entire length. I can locate the convoy via TGP and share my SPI but repeated instructions to engage air defenses with mavericks are met with the dreaded “Roger” followed shortly by “Rejoining”. 20. That sounds like it's just the ticket! I've been using the gun for most of these situations but your approach may actually provide me with more time due to greater engagement range using Mavs. Thank you!
  21. There are situations when a target pops into view close to your crate but due to time constraints (target may be a tank close to an allied unit) you need to take a Mav snapshot rather than extend and use the TGP to acquire the target. Suggestions for quick targeting are most welcome!
  22. If the convoy is part of your mission objectives, “engage complete and rejoin” should work, if not “engage ground targets” That was helpful Speed. Since the only SAM and ZSU units are in the the eastern and western convoys, the "engage AAA" command is specific for those groups. Unfortunately a T55 sneaked in after pilot recovery and nailed the helo before I could line him up for a gun run but the mission flow feels right now. Thanks for the help!
  23. I'm attempting a CSAR night mission with 2 wing-men loaded with AGM-65Ds and CBU-97s. We can get the SARDOT pretty clear with the exception of a single convoy of about a dozen vehicles including 2 SA-8s and a ZSU. It's night and trying to ID then plink the AA threats takes too much time and the pilot is captured. Question: How can I command my wing-men to carpet bomb the entire convoy using the CBUs rather than deal with individual targets? Vaicom seems to restrict commands referencing a SPI to individual vehicles which makes the use of CBUs rather inefficient. Does anyone have a technique for bombing a group of vehicles rather than individuals? Many thanks in advance!
  24. LOL! Not to worry. Your secret is safe with me! Thanks!
