Its difficult to find the folders...

Yeah, it assumes some basic gamer level knowledge of Windows 😉

"Saved games" is normally placed in user profile, which can be found in system_drive:\\users\user_name\ or just type %userprofile% in windows seearch and get to the folder from there. It can be moved to other place though (by using folder properties\location) and is also named differently in other than EN language Windows versions.

Did a mission with my friends of Gray Flag Syria and I wanted to get some external views but every time I open the file in DCS in crashes at visualizer start simulation. I have uploaded the crash report down below. any advice will be helpful.

    dcs.log-20240401-081902.zip 3.1 MB · 5 downloads

Still problematic with 2.9.4? Log reveals lots of mods. Remove them and try again next time, before reporting.

That's why I started thinking about other possbile sources of these weird micro tracking lag spikes or other glithces (don't forget, it's still WMR). The lighting in my room is pretty adequate and even, shadowless for the G2 (at least I hope so). If you have idea for a better and reliable method for recording exact CPU / GPU frametimes which doesn't induce lag spikes please let me know.

Yeah, you need some 0.1% readings or detailed chart - I heard MSI Afterburner is good for that.

I don't understand this. What's the difference? I'm pretty sure that if you start DCS from an administrator account then DCS inherits those rights exactly as if it were running "as administrator." Perhaps you could add some detail to your explanation.

I use standard UAC function of Windows. So my account has administator rights but acts as a standard user unless some app/system changes are needed. "Run as administator" setting otoh starts the app with full admin rights from the get go.

As an update just ran a slow repair - no change - Missing module:Caucasus still present - though appears to be against v2.3 of Agile Spear. Log file post repair now also attached in post above.

Check your antivirus software. It can block/quarantine some DCS/module files.

Security was my #1 consideration TBH - as not only DCS is running in admin, but I need discord (for PTT) to be admin when DCS is focused, and that's not ideal at all.

As an admin you'll have to add proper rights only to the files and folders you have troubles with for the user account and then try again running on user account. Might be a lot of hussle if everything was installed with admin rights in the first place.

I personally run on account with admin rights but DCS is not running "as administrator".

if reslove with ED, I am curious about the SNIPER POD ROAD MAP:????

It is very unfortunate that CBU103/105 is not in the schedule. Just getting shot down by the Thor with  slow A10

Sniper will come after Litening, so it's a long road there.

WCMD CBU-103/105 were mentioned in Notso's FAQ from 2023 so there's still some possibility.

But as this upgrade would cost a lot of money and work I'd do it only when it's really neccessary, so I'd prefer to wait for Vulkan to see if it hugely helps in VR with current config. I have no idea how my CPU is a real bottleneck with these resolutions in VR.

It varies during a mission and depends on a lot of factors: map, objects, AI, settings... so get a tool that shows you CPU/GPU times (even DCS fps counter kinda shows this) and see for yourself. No matter what HW you have a few settings or different mission can make it either CPU intesive or GPU. If anything, Vulkan will help in optimisation and you won't have to upgrade then, but until this time comes you'll probably upgrade anyway. It all depends on your own requirements - does it play and look nice atm?
