I have in the past, usually I use Rivatuner, but I haven't looked for a Windows7 compatible version recently
-
I can't remember to be honest, but knowing me, probably haha. However, it would also have been the first thing I would have turned off to see if it made a difference.
-
The GTX260 has 216 Shader processors?
-
Hehe scratch that idea then :D I do like Windows 7, I may even pay for it! haha Much smoother than Vista IMO :)
-
I was thinking that also. Multi GPU systems really shine when using high resolutions. I'll have a proper play about tonight when I get home :)
-
Cool I'll try that mate, I've got a full version of FRAPS from my movie making days :) TBH, I think Windows 7 is the problem... Mioght be time to dual boot XP back on.
-
Well tbh, I've been too busy at work to thouroughly test the problem, but it happened when I was sitting on the ramp during the training missions ( iwas just watching them to refresh my memory). Yeah I realise it's more of a CPU dependant game. I'll tinker on. Would it be worth getting a newer CPU or OC'ng a bit more? Oh, this was also with Windows 7 which obviously is supported yet as it's only RC1 atm.

Hey all, I installed DCS again recently (I had the russian version, now have the UK version also :)). I have tried loads of different settings, but I'm only getting ~15-30FPS tops :( OK, I'm running at 1920x1200 res, but surely my system should cope? E6750 @ 3.2Ghz 6GB PC2-6400 RAM GTX260 216SP x2 in SLi I'm running standard DCS, no mods, patched to latest version.# Any ideas? Thanks!!
-
Nope but I use RivaTuner which is basically the same thing.

The KA50 pit to me isn't as intuitive as the F-16CJ pit that I'm used to in Falcon. But don't get me wrong, I like learning all of the new stuff :)
-
Sorted. After hours of fiddling and punching things, I discovered that InputEvents.lua of the script folder was the c*nt causing all of the bother. [Mod: indeed]
-
I've searched, got a few hits, no obvious answer. I've got the russian version. TO be safe, and eliminate the file, can someone send me their russian input files? Thanks :)

Really pissing the f*** out of me. I've reinstalled and no matter what I do, the game will not un-pause. I tried remapping the key and everything, it simply will not let me get passed the "press pause/break to start" pop up. Any ideas? Tried lots of missions, no matter what, it's stuck :(

Because now he want's something. He doesn't care if it means making the people he insulting make the skin for him.

Wrong frequency. You need to be on UHF2 125675Khz, AM. You also need to be within 70km of the city.
-
Hey all, I know how to change the frequency for the intraflight datalink and radio, but how do you know what frequency to tune to? I gave up and tuned into the Mayak Radio station because I couldn't get ahold of my flight nor the tower. Thanks!

And that will work for the Rudder?
-
So is there a way I can manually get 200% saturation so that 50% physical movement is 100% in game movement? Or should I just cheat and put a lot of exponential on? The problem with that is it would make the centre very twitchy. I could add a deadzone, but it's not ideal. I'll fiddle about some more.
-
By setting it to 50%, does that mean 100% physical movement of the stick will only result in 50% in game movement? Or is it the other way around? I want to only have to move the rudder pedals slightly to result in large in game movements. I understand what curves do, but curves are not the best way to do what I want. Basically I want 50% physical rudder pedal throw to equal 100% yaw in game. From the manual: So does that mean it would do what I want? Or the opposite? Hope my question makes sense :) Thanks!

multi monitor picture request !
Amraam replied to hannibal's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi all, I'm having trouble getting this to work with Vista. Here's what I've done: I too have a 17" 4:3 screen on the left, and a 24" 16:10 screen on the right. I want to do exactly what you did in your tutotial, except the vertical distance in pixels is 400 for me. This is my options.lua: ["graphics"] = { ["multiMonitorSetup"] = "2monitortest", ["color"] = "32", ["heatBlr"] = 1, ["scenes"] = "high", ["water"] = 1, ["fullScreen"] = true, ["visibRange"] = "Medium", ["aspect"] = 1.6, ["textures"] = 2, ["shadows"] = 3, ["display_mode"] = { ["avi"] = { ["bpp"] = 32, ["resolution"] = "640x480", ["full_screen"] = false, ["aspect"] = 1.333333333, ["height"] = 480, ["width"] = 640, }, -- end of ["avi"] }, -- end of ["display_mode"] ["effects"] = 3, ["lights"] = 2, ["haze"] = 1, ["terrPrld"] = "20", ["height"] = 2000, ["resolution"] = "2000x4480", ["civTraffic"] = 1, ["width"] = 4480, }, -- end of ["graphics"] } -- end of optionsI derived 2000 by doubling 400 and adding it to 1200. And this is my 2MonitorTest.lua: Description = '2MonitorTest' Viewports = { Center = { x = 1280; y = 400; width = 1920; height = 1200; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 16/10; } } Shkval = { x = 0; y = 976; width = 1280; height = 1024; }I then load up DCS, see that resolution is at 2000x4480 as it should be, and choose 2MonitorTest from the drop down. However, when I try to load a mission, it crashes. I did not compensate for the start menu. Should I consider that also? Would mine 30px as it is only a single line? I'm using Vista, it should still work right? Or do I have to run in span mode? Thanks, your help is very much appreciated! Harry -
What do you mean? The functionality of the buttons? Ie what TMS Up/Right/Down/Left etc do?

I was expecting a cartoon of santa and his reindeer being splat across the nose! :D Nice skin, thanks!

Overclocking or: A cheap way to 3.2 GHz (and more)
Amraam replied to kaos.dll's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I gained a few FPS (probably 5 or so, not in DCS, in games general (O overclocked months before DCS came out)) by OCing from 2.66 to 3.2. I'm tempted to go to 3.4 -
Nice taste in music :) You, like myself, obviously like your dance tunes! :)
