maybe the mirror is grayed due to some graphic perfomance failure. Also the repair function is pretty useless right now because you dont have much chance to struggle back to base and land successfully when you are shot by a sam. And if you are attack by an aircraft, he usually chase you down.

I shot when the line starts flash, and everything is ok. the problem for me is that my wingman never attack the north bridge, no matter how I order in radio menu.

My friends got the same problem

I am a Chinese player and I really love this aircraft viggen, for its detailed module, the interesting ck37 system and those power features. I am pretty confident with my Chinese and my English skills(I just got a TOFEL score of 108 . Also I have pretty enough time to do this right now. So who I need to talk to? I really want to make my own contribution to this thriving community, and attract more potential Chinese dcs players to this game--- most of them are scared by the huge language gap lies ahead of them, especially this 375 pages manual!

Something changed to viggen's radar
IDontLikeBigbrother replied to IDontLikeBigbrother's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
I think they are, except the radar release mode for the bombs. they always fall half a runway length long. Actually i think people seldom use mode other than ccip with high drag bombs. And when you release 16 bombs at the same time in a line, accuracy doesnt matter. Same for the rocket. ps I never realize whether I should pull the trigger when the line on the hud starts blinking or ends blinking. -
Something changed to viggen's radar
IDontLikeBigbrother replied to IDontLikeBigbrother's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
is this change authentic? Viggen's radar was better thant mig21's radar in some ways before this change. Now it can only detect bombers under 30km. -
After the new update yeasterday, those target reflex dots on the radar are somehow blurred, which were pretty clear before. Especially in the airborne intercept mission, it was pretty easy to tell the difference between the target dots and ground clutter, but now it is really hard to distinguish them. Same thing to the naval detection. Now it seems that I need to adjust the radar gain to get the same effect as before.

** AJS-37 Changelog / Update Master List **

Actually i think there was an important fix about radar yesterday. All those target reflex dots on the radar are somehow blurred, which were pretty clear before. Hugin and Munin Soaring: How and Why
IDontLikeBigbrother replied to Horns's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Thank you! I think waiting a new release may be a better option for me. Without antiship mission, the red flag campaign cannot demonstrate viggen's ability. Hope the offical campaign can do better. -

How to even get a mini campaign for viggen? Do you mean nttr training campaign? -
Thats what i found on the raytheon offical website introducing the aim9x: "The new Block II variant adds a redesigned fuze and a digital ignition safety device that enhances ground handling and in-flight safety. It also features updated electronics that enable significant enhancements, including lock-on-after-launch capability using a new weapon datalink to support beyond visual range engagements. " So if the aim9x block 2 have this feature recently, the rb24j and rb74 definitely doesnt have this feature, and this is a bug,

On wiki it says this: "LOAL systems normally rely on cuing from a helmet mounted sight or onboard sensors like radar or FLIR, and use a simple strapdown inertial guidance system to know where to look after launch. Examples of LOAL weapons include the ASRAAM air-to-air missile and later versions of the AGM-114 Hellfire anti-tank missile. " Since there isnt any on board sensors and helmet mounted sight avaliable for viggen, and rb24j and rb74 is a relatively early missile(compare to asraam or aim9x), I consider this behavior is a bug.

2 small things: 1 The radar crosshair on the radar release mode(120kg bombs) is weird. If I pull the trigger when the crosshair exactly pass the target, the bombs always fall about 500m behind the target. The problem happens when I turn my radar scope to 15km. I never tried on other radar range. 2 The lock tune doesnt show up when the missile actually locks the target. When the target is about 3 miles away, there is not lock tune, I pull the trigger and the missile tracks the target. The actual locking tune shows up about 1 mile away. Because 3 mile is a pretty reasonable lock range for aim9, and aim9 doesnt do lock-after-launch stuff, I consider there is something wrong with the lock tune system.

Good jobs! Those problems are actually solved in 2.5 2 small things: 1 The antiship self-explode bug still remains unfixed. Antiship missiles explode immediately when the viggen is down. 2 The radar crosshair on the radar release mode(120kg bombs) is wrong. If I pull the trigger when the crosshair exactly pass the target, the bombs fall about 500m behind the target.
