  1. Thank you for the information. By the way, in reality does this function exist? Because the submunitions are attached with parachutes, it seems that different altitude approach cannot change the spread area, it is used to avoid terrain or obstacles?
  2. There is actually a certain problem with the bk90, it is the altitude select. not matter what altitude I select in the 92xxxx code(I tried 50m 200m 300m 500m), the bk90 only approach in a certain altitude.
  3. Countdown 43 days. Choose to cut red wire or black wire.
  4. Dear supreme longliving leader, I definitly agree with your idea about the tossing bombing inaccuracy. And I found another interesting detail is that if I toss 16 bombs, the hitting point will seperate in to two groups with 8 each. But official liveries is not a good idea, because you have no option but only download them, and they are going to eat up your precious ssd drive space. BTW, how is RAT now?
  5. This module is in silence for about 1 year. And players' hearts are getting colder. Is this going to happen on f14 several years later? An unfinished mod, a dead forum, a cold heart.
  6. Yes.... actually it is able to reach 10km even under 0.8mach, and nothing can hit it.
  7. I tried launching at 500m, the result is the same.
  8. Gaming definitely doesnt mean "winning a game" There are a whole bunch of games that are not designed to "score" at all, like "the war of mine", "the witness", "paper please", "where the water tastes like wine"....... lots of them. These games are designed to tell a good story, to make people think deeply about a point. Gaming is an action of get entertained in some games, Some people get entertained by shot someone in their heads, some people get entertained by learning something new, some people get entertained by experiencing a whole new life they've never lived before. But overall, all of them are just playing games. Also, dcsw this game itself is not a military simulator, it is undoubtedly, a GAME. What we call some people who play games? We call them "gamers"
  9. I add the word "just" because I kind of feel that some dcs players in my circle are a little bit "higher" or "different" even "noble" than other "common" game players. This makes me use the word. People play games to get entertained. Some people get entertained by shot someone in their heads, some people get entertained by learning something new, some people get entertained by experiencing a whole new life they've never lived before. And flight sim games gather the last two kinds of people together and enjoy. But overall, people are just get entertained in the flight sim games, maybe through shooting some bandits down, maybe through learning a new avionics system, maybe through flying a airline safely. These are not the reason that our flight sim players feel the sense of "nobility". In the end, the game isnt a real military simulators, and it is just a game. What we call some people who play games? We call them "gamers"
  10. I didnt mean I want some "the strongest" planes. My favorite plane is ajs37, and as you can see, ajs37 is definitely not the "strongest" plane in the game. I like it because it is interesting and its old system is different from modern planes like a10c or f18 or ka50. As a player who already have d9, I would like to see something NEW on the new plane. People buy a NEW model because they want to try NEW things. If a model wants to be attractive, it needs to have some distinctive features right? I suggest devs can make a f8 variant sell it together with a8, like cc101. btw, flight sim gamers are just gamers.
  11. That's really nothing. So what's the point of buying this "new" plane if someone already has d9?
  12. The variable altitude function of bk90 seems not working at all. I follow the instruction on the manual, trun the right knob to takt, switch to "in", input "91500", press "LS",switch to "valb", and then fire in pair. But it seems that the glider never go to 500 meters. I also check the main altitude set, and it is right. So after that, I go to the default setting(switch to std), and the glider seem to glider at the same altitude as the first test, around 400ft.(I am testing on that X shape runway near the kobuleti and I am using bk90 mk2, the ap one) It seems that the variable altitude function on the bk90 never works at all.
  13. 1 8x70kg bombs 2 12xpanzerblitz rockets 3 1x1000kg bomb 4 3x250kg bombs What do we have?
  14. It is really hard to hit ground target, the mean problem is that pilot basically know little about the elevation of the missile. When I use rb05a to hit ground target, the missile always fly over the target. However the target on sea is much easier, becasue pilot can adjust the height of the missile by the reflection on the water. I never manually hit an air target, it is simply impossible. For air target the missile is just an unguided rocket with a VT fuse.
  15. The rb75 image maybe reasonable considering it is agm65a, a really early version of maverick. Also, you need to properly tune the color inversion, the bright and the contrast to improve the visibility. After tuning, I think the it is possible to distinguish the truck size target on clear weather. BTW, you actually dont need to see the target, the currently MAGIC rb75 basically can lock target 10nm away.lol.
  16. It seems that on the outer pylon the aj37 can only carries rb28(aim4 falcon infrared variant) But I think it is acceptable to use rb24(aim 9b) to replace it. The main problem is that the rb24(aim9b) is far more capable than the aim9b on the f5e, the rb24 has like 2 times locking range comparing to aim9b on f5e, which can be a little bit wired. It is not a serious problem though, because no one use rb24 on ajs37. I found this when I was doing a test on all infrared missiles in DCS. Another thing is the wind correction, especially for bk90. The wind correction is much better now. it works well for 120kg bombs, because they are deployed in a long line. the things are a little bit off for arak rocket when you got a crosswind, but I assume is ok because it is basically a 70s system. However, the things are really off when it comes to bk90s, the dispensers can fly right above the target, but the munitions are heavily affected by the crosswind-----on a heavy crosswind day, even the wide deploy mode(922000) can completely miss the target. I guest it is reasonable that a 90s dispenser have some wind correction capabity? The thrid thing is about the illumination bombs. It is an aged topic and has been talked for eons https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=194322 Bascially it is a problem about the release pattern of illumination bombs. On the manual the bombs should form a pattern like this: o o o o o o o o However, in the game it looks like this: o o o o And it heavily damages the effect of illumination bombs because in this parttern, the bombs cannot shine a large area, and the worse thing is that the first several bombs may deploy parachutes(slowing down) too late: crash on the land just several seconds after illuminating and slowing down.(Also no parachute animations) Last, no need to say, rb75. A whole month after the Tomcat release, any news for the viggen now?
  17. Thank you for your response, there are still some minor issues with this wonderful plane, I love viggen sooooo much, so I want it to become perfect. BTW the latest trailer has a really good bgm, it is possible that we get a collection of these fancinating music?
  18. Any plan for updating recently? The viggen kept silent for some time. Dont forget the viggen is your girl too!
  19. I am running out of driver space and I found there are tons of useless livery files in the coremod folder. most of them are even larger than the plane itself! And there are liveries for the plane that I even didnt buy:like Christen Eagle2, I doubt anyone buy it:smilewink:. But the liveries for CE2 are 1.7g big! If I just delete these livery folder, will I get a crash or something bad?
  20. Yes, the most important problem is about the wind correction, even after the last patch , the recently repaired ccip wind correction is not accurate enough. Players still need to have some small compensation on the wind direction to hit the target. And the aims short problem is not very obvious because the bombs are released in a row.
  21. Agree with the rooster328 and other guys. On the manual page 321, the section of illumination bomb deployment, the picture shows that bombs should form a horizontal line rather than a vertical line. Also the current vertical line makes some illumination bombs(usually the first 2 bombs) directly hit the ground without even slow down in the air.
  22. Agree with afarros. For me the problem is that the radar cannot even detect active helicopters! I put four active ch53 in a line on the runway along with 4 static ch53 and 4 shermans. The result is that I can only see the tanks. However the ch53 is one of the largest helicopter in the game, and is several times larger than the sherman! So this kind of result is not persuasive to me.
  23. Also the cm machanics in dcs world kind of affects the cm ability on viggen. In the real world, a 4 ship squadron includes one or 2 viggens carry the cm pod, the flares and chaff dispensed by these 2 viggens can actually cover the whole team. So the pylons in the real world are used in a more efficient way. However in the game, your wingman cannot use his cm pod to cover you, you need to have one pod on one of your main pylon---sometimes means the lost of 50% percent of antiship capability.
  24. I'd like to say something useless: build good SA. Because from my experience the cm pod itself is pretty useless: when you want to evade ir missile, the pod can only release one flare one second---which is not fast enough at all. mig21 or a10c can release a flare cluster in several second and cheat the ir missile for sure. however for ajs37 you can only release the flare in a really slow rate and pray. when you want to evade radar missile, the pod can actually do something---cheat some early sam. late tech sam like sa10 is not likely to be cheated by chaff at all?(I didnt see that happen) however the early sam is supposed to be dealed with the extreme low flight altitude and fast speed. So I think for a typical viggen mission: I would choose to plan my flight well and fly as slow and fast as I can, and make sure I know what im doing while in hostile territory. If you dont do this well, no matter how many cm pod you have on a viggen, you will fall down.
  25. Same problem for me too. Also I found that the missile flies perfectly before it starts to dispense the munitions, however after that, everything goes wrong. So I think maybe there is no any kind of wind correction on this weapon? Because when it flies, it is just desgined to go to the point, after the explosion, hb doesnt care how munitions act.
