Have the recentre issue with my rift - what is the current thinking on mapping it to my warthog? maps in game ok but doesn't function in game need to hit 5 key!!

Think this might have been asked before but is really driving me mad! Re-centre view button is number pad 5 - but can't seem to map it to a button in my warthog - maps but it never works in game! - any ideas? (have same problem with 1.5 and 2.0)

now got it working! think they ran an update recently also..... question - how (what keys) do you move the target designator around the radar screen? have not been able to get this to function yet - although I seem to have got the radar working up to the point when you need to move the designator around the radar screen to select target....

Jamison how did u get it working in 2.0 - its appearing in my mi game modules but when I try and install it as normal it gives me the error "unknown module"??

I am running version 2.0 - the module is now showing up in my modules - but when I try to install it says unknown module??

just downloaded to 1.5 standalone beta.... I have some modules on steam that I want get on standalone how do I move them across? notice there is in my profile page a serial number function that lets you bind to your ED is this what to use ?(note I want keep them both on steam and standalone)

downloaded my 1.5 on the standalone beta...... 1)How to I get the content I bought on steam to work on this? have the serial number but just get buy options for the content - assume I can have it both on my steam then transfer to my standalone - please tell me how? 2)When will 1.5 come to the steam version?

Interested to try 1.5 and just wondering the best way to play it.... I had the standalone DCS with a few modules - then transferred them to steam when it first was released there - I then bought a few more modules on steam - so just wondering what I need to do? I guess I will first need to download the DCS World beta and it should install the 1.5 automatically? but what do I need to do to get all my different modules working?(noting I have some on steam and also some standalone that were then transferred to steam - note I also just bought the Nevada pack standalone also .....whats going to work and what do I need to do?also interested to know if and when 1.5 would come to steam?)

Kuky of course I noticed the auto updater and thats exactly my point my DCS world auto updated itself to version 1.2.3.98..a couple of days ago and all the modules appear updated to 1.2.3 however when I run DCS world again it but doesnt seem to finding the latest version for world and the modules which I beleive is 1.2.4!!and 1.2.4 I understand updates FC3 to the non beta version! Also on forcing a manual update neither eagle dynamics or DCS world is appearing on my start menu although world is appearing on my desktop so I can't force a manual update.....

Have already purchased and installed FC3 beta version - but recently noticed it has now moved out of Beta (I note that I have installed 1.2.3 but 1.2.4 is available on the website to download) so couple of questions 1)How do I install the new version is it a manual process do I need to delete the old version? 2)Do I need to manually update/check the version of my other modules (I have A10, BS and P51)? PS despite 1.2.4 version of DCS world my setup just seems to have auto updated to 1.2.3.9871 and not 1.2.4 which might explain why all modules appear stuck at 1.2.3!!!! Now really confused ..please help!

manuel - thanks for the reply but your not really answering my questions.... basically I want to understand how to use (step by step) the FC3/F15C target profile I have - i can run target but I want to know in the in game (DCS world) options section 1) do I need to run any .lua files to get this target profile to work? - or should I just revert them all in the options screen to default (I think there is a button to do this) while running target in the background? 2)For A10 I think you are trying to say that I dont need to run target and I just move all the in game options to default profile .lua file? 3)Dont really understand how these .lua files work - I thought u needed to load up one for stick one for throttle - but I have seen one single .lua file called combined attached to some of the .fcf download packages - how does this work?

Just started playing FC3 and using the warthog and came across this thread? Does anyone actually have a F15C/FC2/FC3 profile for the warthog stick - would prefer .LUA but target would be ok also? - or does everyone just use the FC2 profile that comes with target?

Just started using the warthog with DCS world (mainly A10, P51 and FC3) As I am new to the stick have been using some posted profiles for the different games.....need someone to help explain how to use them.. 1)Got some lua based profiles for p51 which I just go into the p51 options page and load up the x2 lua files (one when I am right clicked on the stick page and one when I have highlighted the throttle page) - seems to work well......but do I need to load anything for the keyboard or is there a default one that comes with the game that I can just revert back to(I am may have accidently changes some of the binding) 2)Got a number of profiles for A10 but they all seem to be Target based - so have been dropping the .fcf file into target then loading it up within target - then entering the dcs world - what do I need to do with the throttle and stick pages in the option section of DCS world for these A10 profiles (note I already have the profile loaded in target running in the background) - note I may have messed around with some of the default settings in the a10 options page - do i need to role back the bindings to default to get the target profile to work?if yes where do i find these default profiles? 3)Interestingly one of the target profiles for a10 also came with a single .lua file (but it was a "combined" one - not one .fc file for throttle and one for stick which i am use to - how should I use this "combined" file (load same file for both throttle and then stick?) 4)Does anyone happen to have a lua based profile for either A10 ot FC3/FC2 - I find the lua profiles much easier to use! - please post if you have come across one...... 5)Finally i sometimes use track IR and sometimes dont - how do I need to alter these profiles to take this into account (I presume map the black hat switch on the stick to pan view - also what buttons are most people using for zoom and rudders (i dont have seperate rudder pedals yet) Any help is much appreciated! as I am really struggling to use this stick properly.......

I am having trouble with this aero issue also - but am new to DCS world and wondering if someone can give me step by step instructions to find the following: 1)Where exactly can I find tje disable aero interface options? so I can uncheck the box? 2)Where do I find the new option options/settings tac 3)What exactly does the ctrl-tab do?

BigfootMSR Thanks for all your help on this! 1)Just want to double check before I try and install - if I download and install DCS world on my D drive it should theoretically detect the games I have installed on my main C drive (SSD)? 2)Also will I then need to install all my modules to the D drive also or can I install some of them to the C?

BigfootMSR thanks The reaons I was keen to uninstall them was purely to free up some space on my SSD main drive © - to clarify 1)You think it is worth keeping the standalone installs because DCS world might reference them in the install and update process - do you mean after this they can be deleted as DCS world installs its own module for each game? 2)If I run into disk space issues on my C drive can I install DCS world on my D drive - will the program still detect DCS installs on my C drive - or do I really need to install DCS world back onto my main C drive? 3)Does anyone have a date when Flaming Cliffs 3 will be released?

PeterP Many thanks for the help have found the flaming cliffs 2 in my account - and believe you need to keep it installed to successfully activate flaming cliffs 3 when it is released which I thought was last month? However am slightly confused about why I would keep all the standalone version of A10, BS 1 and BS2 installed on my machine prior to installing DCS world - I thought they should be deleted prior to installing DCS world to avoid wasting disk space as the games/modules then need to be installed again - or can you integrate the standalone games into DCS world - please clarify?

DCS have now merged 2 accounts that I was using to buy software and I am now ready to install DCS world and perhaps buy combined arms but I have some questions ! Currently I have BS1, BS2, A10C and flaming cliffs 2 on my PC (note BS and A10C were bought on my merged account as digital download - In addition flaming cliffs 2 was bought on one of my merged accounts but for some reason a record is not appearing of this purchase on my single unified DCS account?!?). I want to install DCS world and add all the DCS games I own + perhaps buy combined arms - please could someone talk me through what to do next step by step in order to do this? 1)Do I need to delete all the DCS games on my system and start the install again? 2)For flaming cliffs 2 what do I need to do - I presume it has to appear on my account for me to be able to install it under DCS world?

Many thanks for the help and I will keep my questions all on the this thread! 1)Basically I will follow your above advice and run the desired stock profile until I get to "main returned 0" and then launch the game - however the manual(p3) is directing that I also need to creat a "fly now" association i.e link the .exe of the game to desired profile do I need to do this as well or can I just run the script and then the game as seen above - also once I have launched the game do I need to do anymore seting up within the game or is it all automated? 2)With regard to my other question on resetting my A10C in game profile back to the default - I have managed to find the config/input folder and within this I have found 3 sub folders (A10c/A10c easy/Default) and one LUA file "modifiers" - do I need to delete all the folders and file and then resart the sim?

thanks have managed to find the stock profiles (and I think that is eactly what was being referred to in the simhq review I mentioned earlier). I have not yet figured out how to use these profiles - when I click run it starts to run a script which never seems to end so I just hit the stop button - i presume you have to wait for the script to stop for say FC2 and then you exit and load up the game - but will have a read of the manual. I also seem to have made a mess of my plug and play warthog profile (both stick and throttle) for DCS A10. I accidentally loaded a BS2 LUA profile for stick and throttle over it (although i thought I had backed up the original profile when I try and load the files everyrything appears blank!! 1)So do out have any idea how I can revert back to my original A10 plug and play profile (I just started the game after installing the TWarthog drivers and the profile was already their) 2)For future reference how do you backup the LUA file for the throttle - do you simply click on the throttle column and just select save profile and this save the whole profile (ALL buttons /AXIS assignments/SIM/GAME) and then do the same for joystick LUA (if the answer is yes then this is what I did for the A10 plug and play profile but it didn't seem to work!!).

Thanks will take a look at the user guide - i presume this should also explain how to produce the LUA files that I had seen earlier? Was also playing A10c Warthog earlier today (I do not load any kind of profile for this as I understood this game was plug and play) but had trouble getting the aircraft trim on the stick to work - i discovered in the options screen a left push of the trim hat (Joy btn POV1_L) was assigned to view left and a (left push of the trim hat + LCtrl) had been assigned to trim left - is this correct? although interesting pushing the left trim alone did nothing - not sure if it was conflicting with my TrackIR or if there is something wrong with the setup? Finally on the TW stick where would you recommend assigning the zoom function which I would use in conjuction with the track IR zoom to view the HUD (unfortunately the friction wheel on the throttle I am already using as rudder - until i get my pedals)

Final question for MTFDarkEagle please can you send some of these profiles you offered earlier - I particularly need one for Lock ON 1or2 but any others would be greatly appreciated! (prefered format would be LUA as I think this means they can just be loaded in game?)
