  1. Is this still a WIP? I was in a server where the coordinates were MGRS and I couldn't figure out a way to input them. I know how to input Lat and Lon in Degrees Minutes Seconds.
  2. I can fly the mission fine but once I beat it, if I want to fly it again and I press Esc, then Quit, Then Fly Again, it's like it starts playing a track file. The screen moves around like my TrackIR is moving but it's not me doing it. The jet is not under my control, it maneuvers and will even select AIM 9X and fire without me touching my controller. Also if I hit the apostrophe button to bring up the score sheet and hit Fly Again nothing happens. I have to completely quit the mission and go back to Instant Action Missions, select it again and it works fine for 1 flight. I'd be happy to attach a track file but I do not know where my computer stores them for Instant Action Missions. I know where they are for Online Multiplayer.
  3. I'd assume when the time on the right side of the HUD which appears after launch switches from counting down from ACT (Which is the countdown until the missle goes active and is Pitbull) and switches to TTG (Time To Go) which is time until impact.
  4. As of right now there are no keyboard short cuts to extend / retract the launch bar. The "U" key / command simply hooks the launch bar (and hence aircraft) to the shuttle once the launch bar is down and it is located close to the catapult shuttle. You could map the Extend / Retract Launch Bar function to a switch on your controller if you wanted to though.
  5. It seems to be intermittent. I was flying in a MP server and after being Winchester on Mk82's I went in to do some gun runs and the piper was too low and the rounds were hitting too high. I crashed and respawned in the same aircraft in the same slot and then next flight it was fine. Very strange.
  6. I too have fired AIM-120C's at Mig 29 and J-11 players as well as MIG-21 AI aircraft in Multiplayer where they were totally defensive and running directly away within Rne and the missiles would not get to them until I was within about 4-5 miles. I was in an F18.
  7. If you are taking off from a carrier then I was told that the launch force of the catapult is based on the weight of the jet when you connect to it. So if you are connected to the shuttle automatically when you spawned in or if you taxi to the shuttle and manually connect AND THEN ask Ground Crew to rearm you are much heavier. Just press the "U" key to disconnect from the shuttle then press it again to reconnect after loading has completed. Also make sure you reset your trim AND MOST IMPORTANTLY check and adjust the trim of your STABs so they are between 16 and 19 based on aircraft weight. This is done in the FCS page of your DDI. When you reset trim the STAB defaults to 12. That may very well be your issue. If you connect to the shuttle after you load out AND make sure your trim is set properly then in full AB you should not have an issue.
  8. Now you start the mission in the jet.
  9. Corrected the TACAN issue and updated the mission with a full battle group around the Stennis and added some static aircraft to all of the ships. It adds some cool realism to the mission. Do a fly over of all of the ships and take a look at the decks. :) I deleted the A10, boom refueler and targets on the island as they were not really applicable.
  10. Great Vid. The TACAN on a mission I made was not working and I'm going to give this a try!
  11. I only have my MultiPlayer .trk files there. No Instant Action files.
  12. Can someone please point out the file directory location for Instant Action Track Files? I know where they are for Multiplayer but it seems they are in a different location for Instant Action Missions? For Multiplayer they are a (.trk) file name. Are they are different file name extension for Instant Action Missions?
  13. [MISSING TRACK FILE] F18 HUD Symbiology Broken after update 12-Sept My HUD symbiology with the dot in the ASC circle, as well as the target diamond and direction of target's travel arrow indicator on the OD of the ASC circle is jumping all over the place since I just updated. I jumped in the Instant Action Mission of 8 vs 8 in the Caucasus map to see if the radar would stay locked on to a target after doing a crank to try to evade the Mig 29's long range shot. Seems like the radar is now worse. I'd be glad to post a track file if I can find where it is stored. If I'm not the only one having this issue you may not want to update. Also that mission is extremely difficult when you tell the fight to "Jettison Weapons" which makes them drop their external tank and only the 3 in your flight actually do it. None of the 4 in the second flight respond so their turn radius is compromised. Then once you are hit and you look at the other aircraft in your flight and only a few of your filght have even launched on the enemy and usually only 1 missile. I'd think in a "real life" 8 vs 8 EVERYONE would launch at least one of their AIM 120's, if not both WELL before the merge.
  14. Just added the Delta formation where you have to complete it as the #4 jet. Has anyone even tried it? If so, let me know what you think. It's basically just getting better doing formation flying but in a cool setting.
  15. Screenshot from my mission https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=219737
  16. UPDATED: 21-SEPT-2018, player is now in the correct aircraft at mission start Just a quick mission I put together. You will probably need to download the numbered skins prior to getting in the mission if you want to see the numbered jets. However, it will run without that. You are in the Blue Angels non numbered jet behind the refueler. If you want to change to a different aircraft, Press F2 until you are watching the jet you want to fly, then press Right Alt and the J key at the same time and you will enter that aircraft. The jet you are in has 50% fuel so you can contact Texaco on 251.0MHz and get some gas to practice your refueling or you can just go on and try to join up in the formation(s). I'd suggest you join on #6's wing on the right side. If you get in front of the jets they may try to avoid you and well, that has bad consequences and messes up the formation. However, if you stay on the wing of #6 you are good. Added a Diamond Formation that you need to complete as #4 on the left. As well as a Delta formation. The Stennis is also in there so you can practice your carrier landing if you desire. Stennis is on 74X, CILS Channel 11, 127.5MHz. For lineup the Oliver Hazzard Perry is 1.2nm abeam on the port side of the Stennis so you can use that ship for your offset on the downwind leg. Make your 30 degree turn once you hit the round down of the ship and you should be lined up in the groove. I updated the mission with a full battle group around the Stennis and added some static aircraft to all of the ships. It adds some cool realism to the mission. Do a fly over of all of the ships and take a look at the decks. Download link for the Blue Angels Numbered skins. You will need to have WinZip or some other file extraction software installed in order to unzip the .rar file for the Blue Angles Skins https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3300888/ Just download the above file in this folder then extract the zip file and six folders will populate. One for each numbered Blue Angels Jet (1 through 6). You may need to manually create a Liveries and FA-18C_hornet folder if they do not exist. C:\Users\(your name)\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\FA-18C_hornet Now that you have the skins downloaded and stored download my mission file and put that file here. C:\Users\(your name)\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Missions Open up DCS and go to Mission then find the Refueling file in the folder above and enjoy. It's nothing revolutionary but I thought it was cool. Attached are a few screen shots. Refueling.miz
  17. It's a bug, DCS knows, I'd be surprised if that is not fixed in tomorrow's update.
  18. The release date was supposed to be 13-August-2018. Did anyone get their's yet? Amazon is now showing available 01-September-2018. I have watched a few of the YT videos but looking for actual experience in DCS and I'm curious if anyone has received their preorder from THRUSTMASTER.
  19. So what the issue was, was that I was putting the files in C:\Users\(UserName)\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\Aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\Missions\Campaigns Where they needed to go was C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\Missions\Campaigns Once in the correct file location the mission worked fine. Thanks.
  20. Still not working. However the F16's were not carrying Mavericks? I Downloaded the Zip file to my main DCS folder in Saved Games. When I unzipped the file it seems to have went to Saved Games>DCS OpenBeta>Mods>Aircraft>Flaming Cliffs>Missions>Campagins>(Then all the files are here) Those files are dated 28-March-2018 1:50am time stamp, which is what is listed as the latest update in the changelog.txt file Not sure if I am doing something wrong?
  21. So in Mission 2, Protect the 16 DEAD strike I cannot beat it. I can fly and defend the flight from the Mig-29's and even the Mig-27's if they come in but the 16's get shot down by SAM's. Also, some of the 16's missles hit their intended targets but do not kill them completely. I have flown the mission over 10 times now and no matter what the 16's get killed by Surface to Air. I have even tried to go low and strafe the SAM's to help out but that usually does not end well for me. Also in the mission brief at the top the loadout listed for my F15 is correct but further down in the Mission Brief under Objective then Payload it list, 2 AIM9, 6 AIM120C and 1 Fuel Tank. Where you actually are carrying 2 AIM9, 4 Aim120C, 2 AIM7 and 3 Fuel tanks like the MB list at the top. This is in 2.5 Open Beta with the latest update as of 03-August-2018
