Oh so you only have the original LOMAC? Yeah mine never worked on Vista 64-bit.
And to the guy above, try running LOMAC: FC in XP compatibility mode
(right click on the shortcut > properties > compatibility :: run this program in compatibility mode for)
that worked for me once.
Try a complete uninstall first (game, drivers etc.)
Install the game then download the latest LOMAC patch and install that, restart then run the game again. You do not need to go to the StarForce website.
Using Vista 64-bit and LOMAC is working perfect, though you DO need the latest patch in order for it to work, otherwise you will get a BSOD like I did :P
Are you getting that "C" icon when over the target? When it does that press the release weapons button. You will see what I'm talking about in the tutorials.
Thanks for the explanation,
so basically it's just a safety thing for the engine to prevent overspeed, high temperatures, fuel flow etc.?
(want to know more about aircraft engines for the game and I'm planning on becoming an aircraft engineer) :)
Hey,
I'm in the process of learning all of the different engine functions and I was just wondering what the left and right engine governor switches do (turn them on during startup)
I've been doing some research but can't find a clear answer.
cheers
I'm aware the issue has been beaten to death, I just thought there might have been a new way.
I am still having problems with it, did a complete uninstall and reinstall with the latest software. In the end I had to map Release Weapons to another key :(
Ahh now I can't test it, after replacing my NewInput.dll file as mentioned in another thread it won't work.
Can someone please provide me the English NewInput.dll file as found in KA50/bin/stable?
cheers
Hey,
recently I changed my key assignment on my X52 with RALT + SPACE from the Fire B Button to the Fire Button but now it doesn't seem to work when I shoot.
I have tried Space + RALT as well on the key mappings but no change. It works when I use the keyboard however.
Anyone else encounter this problem? And how can it be fixed?
cheers
DCS: Black Shark is more CPU intensive, however both your CPU and GPU will be currently bottlenecking you.
I would recommend turning AA off and setting all of your settings to medium-low for playable FPS.
Also, have you tried the CPU affinity hack?
AA works perfectly for me on my HD4850
The ATI HD4xxx handles AA extremely well compared to Nvidia cards, all of my games are maxed out through CCC and barely a FPS drop.
