Very nice, just when I thought the game had died (PC) :) IL-2 / Pacific Fighters was the first flight simulation game that got me hooked. Saw it in a PC store one day and began to play it (only occasionally played FS2000 since then) I was absolutely blown away by the game for graphics / sound / simulation / fun factor. So a credit to them.

It was a huge shock the first time I played DCS and how it was very difficult to get a stable landing, it changed everything I knew about helicopter landings. But after a few days it will become second nature for you, just treat it very gently, not like the rough landings on FSX.

haha that's what I've been doing, getting as many copies as I can and just spreading them out across the shelves (covering FSX, HAWX etc. ;) )

The only time I use autopilot is when I basically need to autopilot and I can leave the KA-50 flying for ~15 minutes on its own. When it comes to battle and aerobatics etc. autopilot is gone.

That's all FC needs, a good decent "farewell" patch if you can call it that, to fix all the current issues. After that yes, focus solely on DCS :)

How does the Phenom 940+ compare with the Core i7 in terms of DCS? I'm tossing up between these 2, whichever plays DCS / FSX better gets my vote :P

So basically every game store will have it now, which is great news. I could never find LOMAC in stores hence why it didn't kick on as well. I'm gonna get my mate at EB to promote DCS near the front :P

I'm happy with all the updates! I don't "need" the patch, so take as long as you want (within limits of course ;) ) And further developing of LOMAC, sweet

I don't think the graphics are to that level as of yet, a single card is more than sufficient. I would suspect with future DCS modules (not for at least 3 years imo) would implement better hardware support in terms of multi CPU's / GPU's. At the moment a single GPU does the job.

Just for anyone interested, JBHiFi is selling DCS Black Shark for $79.95 I was incredibly surprised to see it there, EB Games however does not currently stock it, cheers

If this is a serious post: Basically if the brake is on it stops the rotors from being able to spin up, or if in flight it will eventually make them come to a halt (depending on your altitude etc.)

Ground crew would add a large "realistic" factor to the game, you just feel all alone when you request for services ;)

Yep, with GamesWarehouse however they just buy it from overseas anyway. That's what they did with LOMAC: FC when I was first going to buy it, they wanted to charge $50 though when I got it for $30 delivered :P

It's the same engine, the exe is just modified to create better multiplayer experience so that everyone's is the same.

The graphics will be updated in the final release I'm guessing. Starting from scratch and getting everything perfect I believe with the right developers they can achieve a great product.

That's because its conflicting with the other mods you have installed, I'm leaning towards "SHKVAL texture MOD"

The really small ship on that level (im assuming you have that ShipPractice track)

Sure, as more DCS modules are released it will eventually replace LOMAC, but the physics involved in the aircraft are far superior then most other games. It is not an "arcade" type game like HAWX. FSX is only more realistic in smaller aircraft (and even then it's completely different in real life ;) )
