1 really cool thing I liked was when I hit the ground hard and the wheels fell off the screen shaked and went all black / grey, added a really cool effect. Also, when going straight up into the air and the aircraft stalls, all electrical /engine systems failed and I had to glide the plane to landing, that's the type of challenges I love. And another, the seat can go up and down :P

Anyone tested on a HD6870 yet? Thinking of getting one for a replacement of my HD4870 as it's not up to DCS currently

Please remove Starforce. No I am not one of those general Starforce wingers but you guys seem to be really uptight every time someone mentions it. Pretty much every DRM method is crackable, including Starforce (I won't mention anymore, most people know this anyway) but there is also many disadvantages of it. The limit of installations can get very frustrating for someone who constantly upgrades their PC, and the hassle of having to ask for a new set of licenses when running out. The Steam method is a good alternative and will also bring in a lot of new users that only use that platform, but there shouldn't be anything like Starforce to limit your gaming. It would be interesting to trial no Starforce DRM on DCS-A10 to see how many new sales it brings it, I know a lot of people that waited just for a Steam release to get away from it. Thanks

Yep stupid move on Microsoft's part. Aren't a lot of the developers working on creating a new sim though?

Any reason why the white line (about 1cm on the screen) is STILL visible when inside the cockpit? I haven't played the game for a while so can't find the fix. Can someone please link me to it? And why wasn't this fixed in the patch (let alone release)

A lot of processes? My computer is freshly formatted with only the basics (itunes, msn, ati ccc) :P It's installed in program files with UAC turned off. Although I restarted the game and it seems to have fixed it for now, but I remember experiencing something similar randomly on my last install

The OS isn't installed as a virtual machine. I just use VM's for testing (nothing to do with DCS). I do deactivate before reformatting each time. But I also LOSE activations for no apparent reason, explain that one

Yes, but I am a developer so why should I be deducted activations because of that? If that is the case that is a BIG mistake on Starforces part. I have verified the activations, and I think I am down to my last 1 now, which will be needed when I reformat Windows tonight...

Seriously, what is going on? I haven't upgraded my computer for the past year or done any significant changes but every now and then I am asked to re-activate my product? I am loosing all of my activations for now reason. This is the 3rd time. This is exactly how DRM screws of legitimate users. I have purchased the game twice (download and DVD) and it's just not fair.

It's a fantastic game, key to keep it good is by not playing it all the time ;) I've mainly been playing FSX and BF2142 lately to give a break. Then when I WANT to play it it's far more fun. That and I'm more of a fixed wing person waiting for A-10 :)

I really hope Microsoft continued to develop this product, I have a very high end system however for decent frame rates maxed out I need to lower it slightly. I can play Crysis on ultimate settings on high frame rates and this surely does not look like Crysis. I know most of it is done on the CPU but when your CPU is clocked to 4Ghz with 8 threads and it doesnt run to its full potential there is something wrong :( With the right optimization and the right patches applied this game could be amazing

Yeah it's my most hated bug at the moment, I ALWAYS have to switch to outside then inside view to remove the noise :\ That and the line outside the cockpit is still visible, a bug from 10 years ago....

Soon? It's at least another 3-5 years away. Other then that it should be fantastic, hoping its a lot more open-sourced.
