Hi, I tried to update to 1.2.6 last night and left it on and slept, when I woke up it said the user aborted updated. SO this morning I clicked the DCS update and it went straight to the program and did not updated. So I searched for the DCS_updater.exe in the folders but all it does is go straight to the sim again and show 1.2.5. Is their a another way to force update other than waiting another day? I've searched the forums and found clicking Start, Programs, Eagle Dynamics, DCS World, DCS updater, but the thing is I don't have it in my Start, all I have is Eagle Dynamics/DCS world/Documentation that's all. Of course what I can for wait another day for the updater to be back but that sucks, my wife allowed me to buy the UH-1 last night and I have to show it to her being installed. :megalol:

It would also be cool if there's an option for the type of ordnance and quantity for each attck command..when i assigned a target to two A-10Cs yesterday they let out 4 mavericks in ONE run on ONE target..which really suck..

I couldn't update mine..there's no "Update DCS World" in this path Start / All Programs / Eagle Dynamics / DCS World / Update DCS World..I tried the auto but had problems with it..

I have enjoyed CA, just got it too, SP mode. I finished one of the Battalion Advance after 4hours, and company advance in 3hours for got exactly which mission file. As A-10C first half, I will write down UTC coordinates while in JTAC mode (humvee) then go A-10C to input via CDU then just fire away, to lessen armor and air defenses and then as Armor. Here's What I found out so far: 1. you have to stalk the enemy, meter by meter movement. Use terrain. There is no way the advancing tanks can defeat the stationary tanks so you can't expect to just command AI to do it(even at excellent mode), you have to do it(did many scenarios and the advancing M1 always get hit) at least in the current update (not sure if that's the case IRL) 2. Send a scout you control and use terrain before sending main platoon, I would move slowly until I can see the antenna or turret then just move in slowly for the Kill. I always handbrake when I shoot. When Im at handbreak and engaging I would always go to reverse mode so when I get detected I can reverse right away. 3. Know the maximum engagement zone for enemy armor, I think the T-80/72s can engage you at 5000m in-sim. Once you detected a tank/enemy use the JTAC mode (B) to range it or press enter for auto solution I have engaged and destroyed t-80s at 6400m with AP rounds, not sure if that's possible IRL but i did. 4. download practice ranges so you can learn the weapon sight reticle. For some reason HE rounds fall short. (not sure or it's suppose to have a different reticle?help) I know ED doesn't intend for this to be a study land warfare sim like SBpro(which I would love to have but I can not justify $100 and upgrade price YET) but I think a lot of people will fall in love with Combined Arms and ED might reconsider. I am so excited for the mid-jan update where you can control Air assets. Gonna be awesome! Hope this helps you a bit.

I am experiencing the exact situation as with Hoggorm. Thanks for the complete report with images Hoggorm. I have had Lomac & LOMAC FC (DVD rom), FC 2 (online purchase), A-10C (steam) and BS 2(DVD BS1 and Online BS2). and now CA (online) so I know a little bit of missions editting (triggers and stuff)..have read the whole CA manual too. This is what I have experienced so far: 1. At SP mode, I will choose a mission, example one of the battalion advance (which I successfully finished yesterday after 4hrs SP mode). It will work at first, then if incase I messed up and got killed or something, I would quit and restart mission (without going to main World menu), that is where it gets messed up for me. I can choose ground commander or A-10C at mission start. IF i choose commander then the tank icon disappears and I am not able to enter any vehicle except the A-10C. The only way to make it work is to quit to main world screen and reselect mission to restart, then no problem, as I have said when it works at first you'll have no problem, that's why I was able to finish the mission 2. At MP mode, I tested in LAN mode, chose one of the MP battalion advance mission, choose ground comm then same thing, unable to enter vehicle. It's not really a major problem but i want to help Hoggorm so you guys get what we're saying..

Just bought CA, and I am having the same problem. I have A-10C and BS2, LOMAC 2. When I load even in MP as JTAC or Ground commander the tank icon don't show up, tried couple of times. When in SP, I have to exit and reload mission for the tank icon to show up. Everything is latest update.

How come DCS CA is not part of the Christmas/Holiday sale? Is it because it's in beta phase? Just a thought :D Thanks!

Awesome missions! Just finished a two how sortie and returned home with just a few lbs of gas. Anyway everything went ok except for my 3rd tasking as single player. On my third tasking, I received commands to provide cover for a downed aircraft. But I heard two audio voice recording playing at the same time. I wasn't able to finish this mission but I was able to destroy half of the convoy and I run out of weapons to throw. My AI wingmen weren't good following my orders and two of them were downed. Also in the last part, I lost comms with my wingman. I checked if he's hit or something but he's clean. He didn't even used any weapons. Kept on ordering him to engage but no joy that part. But everything else was great! Cant wait for version 3. thanks!

Hey guys! Just want to ask if the hawgtouch will work in the new 1.2.2 update DCS World A-10C & BS. I was trying to follow instructions with the export.lua but could seem to find the localAddress where i will inout the local IP. I was aiming to use a networked PC for the MFDs. Thanks!

Hi! Will this work with the new DCS W 1.2.2? I found the export.lua inside the A-10C/config folder but I couldn't find the localAddress even if I use the search function using Notepad++ Is it different for the 1.2.2? thanks!

Hey guys! I was messing aroung with the mission editor after updating last night. I made a JTAC/FAC scenario just to allow me to learn the systems. Setup a humvee as FAC Perform command set callsign set freq (45AM) Perform task FAC to "convoy" with auto settings setup russian "convoy" around 3000m away For some reason, no matter what I do, could get any reply from the FAC over the ready, I've set the proper frequency. Another thing, I couldn't send commands to my wingman, but he is able to report contacts to me via radio. So I am confused. What did I do wrong here? I was able to do this easily with the old A-10C stand alone 1.1 thanks!

Update! Finally got it working..just follow post #4 then save your profile inside World. thanks!

Negative on that..I did not import any old profile because I did a fresh install of my system (64bit migration).. The thing is,all radio command works only when you are touching the ground. When you start flying, even a hover above FARP you loose all radio comms..

Hi! I created a mission with a FARP, SKP-11 CP ATC and a wingman, all tuned to the same freq. Problem is, I can only use the radio when I am on the FARP. If I take off, I lose all comms even just a few meters hover above the FARP. No comms (\) or (RightAlt \) from ATC or wingman so I could not issue commands. Did I miss anything? Anyone having the same problem? Thanks!

Thanks! I appreciate all help..sometimes you are so excited and you make mistakes..I am sure the mistake came from my side not dcs. I was wrong about the patch and i appologizes. I messed up the installation with the wrong patch. I will figure it out, downlaod 1.2 and update. Thanks!

Any solutions? or should I just download DCS:W 1.2 full. I guess the patch don't work for me. ANd reinstall everything. thanks!

Checked the start time it is ok. This time I tried the mission generator, selecting the KA-50, it loads up. When I get inside, what I see is the outside view of the SU-25t. So something is definitely wrong. Could it be that there's something wrong with the DCS:W 1.2 patch?

Yup, that's why i stated that I have a bit of knowledge with editing..it is set to player. The thing is with me you see no aircraft at all. If you set to AI, you actually see the AI but you cant control it.. I will check the start time. thanks!
