  1. Hey Geskes, can you share how you did this? I didn't see options for CDU or UFC in the in-game controller setup. Do I need to modify one of the .lua files directly?
  2. I love this thread. I love lamp.
  3. Since they're touchscreens I wasn't planning on putting the actual aftermarket MFD frames on there. Honestly though, I hadn't really researched to see if I could 1) get the MFCDs + surrounding buttons moved to another screen, and 2) if I could resize to fit whatever I wanted them to fit. If both of those were possible, then I'm sure I could make it work on 800*480. Just a hair-brained idea I had earlier this afternoon...
  4. It's funny... after I saw this - http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1036564&postcount=6 I started thinking about buying somethng like this - http://www.mimomonitors.com/ ...and putting both MFDs on a 7-inch 800-400 touchscreen. It's about number 5 on my list off cool stuff to buy.
  5. Good, maybe it was a one time deal for me. Last time I tried the plane would yaw back and forth pretty violently.
  6. Be aware, I've seen some quirky behavior in the yaw axis w/ Beta 3 when using this function.
  7. Hey Tyger, I'm sure you either read it recently in the forums or already knew about this one, but I saw a pretty invaluable tip for AIM-9 engagements. Since you are still in process for that tutorial, I thought I'd make sure you at least knew about it. If you set the depressible pipper to 41 (technically -41 I think), it will be in-line with the TGP boresite in A-A mode. Since there are no TGP HUD cues, this helps get the pod on target. Hope this helps. Jeff
  8. In addition, try flying 60-90 degrees offset to the target or orbit outside of their engagement zone while you setup the attack.
  9. There is a CDU page for it....Nav page -> DTSUpload page Although, I'm not sure it will do exactly what you're looking for. Options appear to be "load original nav or all data".
  10. Really enjoying it. Low threat environment...really makes learning and playing with this birds functionality a lot more fun. That, and the variability within one mission! Thanks!
  11. Ahh, got it. Thanks!
  12. This works great, but one question. What is the point of even tracking with the pod if it doesn't provide steering cues in the HUD? If I'm visual enough to put the pipper on him, then I'm visual enough to put the SW seeker on him. Am I missing something?
  13. Hey Grimes, this sounds really cool! I downloaded, changed to a SP mission with no AI and flew the entire route...very scenic! I did not, however, get tasked with anything. After just about passing abeam of friendlies after the turn to the west I ended up in a loop with AWACS. I would see/hear the following over and over all the way to Tbilisi! 1. Flag 23 OFF 2. Request 3. "Wizard here, go ahead Tusk" 4. "Come in Wizard, this is Tusk" (apparently out of order) 5. "Situation is nominal, continue patrol" Do you think this is because of SP w/ no AI?
  14. A few from last night. Two enroute shots and 1 inflicting some carnage... Shooting a maverick at a platoon of paratroopers in the open is really satisfying!
  15. This actually uses coordinates from that particular mission - http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60854
  16. Sure you can. In that picture, on the 12 o'clock line is a "wedding cake" with one less layer than than the normal SPI. In this diagram, it is a broadcast SPI from 2 (which you can then hook and make your own SPI if you like). If you broadcast your SPI (DMS left long to turn on, and DMS left long to turn off -- note it's not momentary), then others will see your SPI as indicated in this picture as long as "SPI ON" is indicated in the top right of the TAD. In MP, it's easy to say..."do you see my target...go attack it". In SP, you probably have to assign the target for attack rather than just broadcast SPI prior to issuing the attack order. On this point, I'm not sure since I haven't played with it yet.
  17. I agree Scabbers, but if you google it you'll get the following (third link after Wiki and Urban Dictionary, lol) http://www.thefreedictionary.com/coolie
  18. Your sim experiences will never be the same after this...
  19. :clap_2: Well done!
  20. Press the OSB next to Wilco in the TAD. Top left.
  21. Yup, I do it all the time.
  22. Saw this a few months ago that shows one of the virtual thunderbirds flying at E3. Control inputs are pretty drastic in those tight formations.
  23. Original video has been updated with 720p and voice over narration. Enjoy!
  24. Thanks for the feedback. I had intended to just post the track, but it's 5+ gigs... Biggest problem with 720p was video size....I'm a total ignorant when it comes to video work.
