  1. I am having this exact problem. I input the path "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin" under Open Beta, and continue to get the dreaded "Not Detected", which of course leads to nothing in the "Select Build to Manage" drop down menu. Help?
  2. Lol, Don, "I'm shakin' it, boss"....I know exactly where my copy of the DCS Beta is located, but still, nothing appears in the "Select Build To Manage" drop down, and in the "Open Beta" area where I put the path, I get "Not Detected". This is the phase of learning new software that is sometimes enough to make a noob like me give up, but I see enough of great value here to persevere. Just hoping the veterans on this board don't lose patience with my dumb questions.
  3. Holy cats, I hate being such a noob. So, I installed SkateZilla's app, and now I can't get it to recognize where my Beta version of DCS is located. I find the file in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Open Beta\bin, but when I enter that path in the "Open Beta" section, nothing appears in the BUILD TO MANAGE dropdown menu.
  4. So, I bought the buzz that the VKB Gladiator MkII was the “Official Joystick of DCS World” and picked one up. Imagine my surprise when I fired up DCS and found very few of the buttons pre-mapped. OK, so I start to manually map the buttons, and it dawned on me that I can’t be the only person using this hardware with DCS World, right, so does anyone know of a profile for DCS that I can load? I understand these can be personal preference, but at least that would be a starting point. I notice VKB has a bunch of profile on their web site, but they are all very cryptically named, so I have no idea what I’m getting with any of them. I’ve also found reference to a KG-12 profile, but not sure if this is what I’m looking for, either. Thanks in advance for any help!
  5. Don, that sounds like a handy app to have. Thanks!
  6. Thanks, guys, that helps. It’s kinda odd how VR is enabled as a default. I mean, I had to disable it to go in and set up my Gladiator MkII (BTW, does anybody know of any DCS profiles for this stick that I can start with?).
  7. Ok, group, total noob question here. I've gotten my Samsung Odyssey installed and running a number of games through Steam VR. I downloaded and installed DCS 2.5 from the ED web site, but the problem is, when I launch DCS, it seems I can ONLY run DCS in VR mode...not only that, but in VR mode, I'm dumped into a hangar, with the main DCS screen floating in mid-air, and have no ability to move, or even to use my mouse. I haven't been able to set up my joystick or anything. I was eventually able to "gaze" at some of the menu items on the DCS home screen floating in the hangar, and click my mouse (the only function of my mouse that seems to work), but after selecting something like "quick action" and "Fly", I'm dumped into a cockpit, sitting WAY too low (and no way to change my position), and the only control that works is roll & pitch on my yet-to-be-setup joystick. What if I want to play 2D on my flat screen, and not VR? Help!!!
