Grettings I am building my first MI-8 skin as my gaming rig is down. and have a few questions I cant seem to find. First is there like a line layout of the skin so you know where you can place some art, so its in right spot and not like wrapping around. second how do I make a version without the engine covers and the wing mounts. I cant find that anywhere. And lastly. I would like to change the patches and helmet color, I tried in an in game skin but it went back to the Russia patch and white helmet same with flight suit. is there another spot I need to go to?? Thanks in advance for the help.

HI All New Mission builder here. I have 3 Questions.. I hope I explain it right. #1 So I Have put Some writing and Building. and it works and Shows up in Game. But I want to Have 3 of them on my Airfield but with Different Writing. I found the Main DDS. and made 3 of them with the writings and renamed them and the adjacent DDS to go with it. but only the same first shows up in Game.. What am I Missing to make them show up indvidualy.. they are seen in the ZIP but not in game.... #2 I have placed some static planes in parking spots on Nevada to simulate under the over Hangs. but they show up on top of the roof of sunshades in the spots but not on ground how do I get them on ground. #3 I have placed a single helipad for an assigned AI helo to land on and does. but in game the Single Helo pad is like a elevated pyramid how to I get it to be flush with ground or just a little elevated maybe. I would like to see and AFG Map, I too did the Uncle Sams, Paid vacation to the Stan 2x, But my Goes were RC South Mostly( Lash,Kajaki,Marjah,TK, and the wonderful desert oasis of Panjwai ;0) and A stint in RC West Chasing IRG running for their Lives back to Iran and Money runners for weapons). Farah,Herat are flat with some Mountain. NNTR looks like it. Nimruz is just a Dirt parking lot. Shindand AB in Heart was Massive. Farah and QeNw had small fields. Ghor was Mountains but high up. So I would say RC West is out as like I sad NTTR looks same. But I would Go South or NE. And Plauge Your statement is a No shitter. We Needed CAS in the worst way one day in Kajaki and ended up Catching some Belgian F-16's on way back to KAF. and they hooked us up. Yet Bastion wouldn't even help us. and Leeathneck said assests were tied up.

Hey All I hate to be asking but I have looked and looked. And tried to read and understand the script stuff. But still kinda confused. So here is what I'm a trying to do 3simple tasks. 1 works kinda. 1. Trying to set a Airplane group to Start and take off, when a trigger kicks off IE. Damged target. The group takes off as a QRA. I've set a trigger zone but done see how to assign the command. They just take off as game star ts. 2. I have loadable cargoes. On heli pad for MI-8 and want to simulate the loading of the ammo crates, and get a confirmation it's loading and loaded. Right now it just sling loads 1. 3. My Troops won't come off helo and attack a target.they just poof show Please help. Thanks in advance. E

Joey. Now you say elsewhere? What does that mean?? So let me see if my logic is right. on my huey. The skin is there but the underneath is not. So where is else where or can I grab from another hjey. I copied the items the were in another files the 9 items. But just that was missing . Now another thing I. Noticed is i tried to change a Pilot to one i did with same naming but it showed it as an original MI 8 pilot. But I changed in folder. N ow wouldn't it be all pixilated. But it wasnt, it was a stock pilot. ??

HEllo All I apologize in advance if this is a dumb ?, but I am very new to skinning and trying it out but Problem is I Kinda don't know what the LUA stuff is or how its set up, If read and watched tutorials but it doesn't really say what I am looking for or at. So my Problem is 2 of them. I tweaked a huey skin, and I got it to kinda work, the Tail and Blades are there but Not all the way the pixels are showing but in color. Also the weapons mounts are in the Green pixels, and I removed the bmp thing from LUA. and nothing happed. and the skin part that works is like super shiny and on my white trainer skin for sure when it should be dead flat.. So what do I need to do to fix it, can someone help me, so I can fix this and apply the same to my others. thanks a lot in advance. im attaching my lua too so maybe some can see what im doing wrong. description.lua

Hey strut. So I did that. And nothing happened. Also I noticed, I changed a pilot text for he help. And the Green Flight suit and patches showed up. When I changed skins in the rearm window. But when in cockpit. The flight suits are still the Russian camo. So Now Strut and anyone else?? What would cause this?? And how do I fix. Or could I build my skin with the pilot dds and patch dds. In the folder and in the LUa thing.? And with that would that write go up top before the number stuff and after the textures or at the end before the folder name?? I have seen both ways. But I really just want to know how to get the flight suits to view inside and change with the skin like they do from external. So Strut and anyone else have any guidance.

Hey All Very green to skins and stuff and wanted to start basic. So here is where I am stuck. I have an MI-8. I'm US markings i made. But the default pilots have no patches of flags like the Russian variant. I found the .dds. And put an American flag and made a Patch for same spot. And saved. No w in game there is still nothing. But at bottom in lua there is some text about MI8 patch. It's like 0 empty true. What do need to put there to make it show up?? Everything else seems to be working fine I even got the helmet picture on there. So can anyone help. I think it's a quick one but I have no idea what I'm looking at in LUA's

Hey all So ive been doing a mission, and had it all set up. in a spot next to Airfield I had that 4 Spot Helipad FARP under Static Object Heliport. Well now that I updated my game and went back to double check everything. my helipad is now 4 concrete Pads instead of the 4 PSP pads from before, can anyone help me on this.
