Im a trying to do this for some helos. but cannot get this to work. Im trying to land them in an LZ. i have all the vehihcles there set radion freqs and evey thing. but nothing on Interphone Vhf or UHf on the freaq and nothing rearm refuel window. please help as to what im doing wrong

Can anyone shed any current light to getting to rearm refuel in the field. I have tried all the set ups posted here and cannot rearm refuel at a FARP site. I have also used. VHF/UHF FM for radio. it only seems to work with a Marston Mat, a Farp T or Single helipad. but I dont want tou use any of these. Please Help

You have a point but, that is what I was eluding too as to what you said. But a different area would open that sand box to exactly what you mentioned but incorporating history into play as well. As we are flying warbirds and historical representations of the era and to have that feel of being there or what could've been. Having an area that was crucial to the war in Europe. Would enhance what you mentioned. Not saying this area didnt play a role. But just would have been more, ,say more opportunistic for recreation. A flight of 51' escorting to wounded birds back from Holland to bassingbourne. Or the famous 20th FG Loco Busting in Belguim. Etc. Not to say you cant know but, having the historical aspect behind that are would just make it better immersion, well at least for me. But just overall my opinion.

I dont know if this is the right spot to put this , I couldn't find right section.I dont want to sound like a hater because I'm not but the More I look at the CHannel Map I am less and less impressed by a flying perspective not as to Terrain and features but of the Location Choice. Especially in realeasing with the P-47. they have missed the Majority of the P-47 Bases. All the Mustang bases. All the B-17 Bases, all but 2 B-24 Bases. and even where it is now if this was to be a RAF based map it still misses most of all the Historic RAF bases. Biggin Hill ,Boxted, Martlesham,Kenley,Hornchurch,North Weald... Dont get me Wrong the map is amazing and beautiful, But man just think it was a missed huge opportunity for the placement of the map and potential missions and campaign design. With Basically Eliminating most of 12 group RAF, and all of the 8th AF. Kinda of a real, Bummer . I was just thinking, it would have been more community friendly in a more well known,useful, historical area. To build from. Like the cliffs are great but if that area was moved down to the left corner of the map. It would open where most of everything was fought from to the north. Then other side, ties into northern France, Belgium,Holland where some of the most numerous and historical battles took place. Plus add to the fact of the current stable of warbirds. Doesn't truly fit this area. A8's, Dora's, and the 51's ,47's all north of Manston. Now if there was Hurricanes, Early spits,109E's BOB era. I can see for future. I just belive this wonderful map could have been in a more I guess to say operationally better geographically location, Would have been good. Like I said just my thoughts as a player and why i dont think it fits. But check it out. The location of all the majority of the bases both RAF and US. I know it's early access but Just Curious.

New Guy Here 1st Skin Hi all New Guy here to WarBirds and Skinning. I am going to attempt to Make Blue 9 of JG4 , form the Battle over the ORE Mountains in Sept of 44. The battle that stopped Daylight Bombing for a Bit over Germany till the Mustangs Arrived.

SO Unknown, is that what you are saying? You cannot tune in to a FM freq given say by a ground unit or a trigger to tune into while in flight. only presets can be used?

HI All And thanks everyone for helping, Sorry delay been at work a bit. and also I didn't mean for anyone to argue. Over my ?. so I got some help Online thank you so much Crom!! but I have 2 things I am conceptually needing I think. as the what to do and when. 1st is I probably am a little steep. But how do I keep a constant path down. I've watched all the videos I could find and see my landing space. and look ahead and glance down at instruments then back out. But still Falling short(mostly crashing) or long. but I'm staying under 5ms till the shakes. 2nd is when I'm descending and lowering collective an glued to the vsi, I get the shakes and pull up collective. I spin left or pop up. Rarely do I just mosey on down like I see or level to get into the hover. so what am I missing or need to do. And this I just runway by the way trying land on the Numbers or 1000ft marks. No way I could do field yet or Oil Rigs as I found out 1st try after 2hours of learning. -
Hey ChiC Yeah I saw it. But basically you cannot tune a freq while in the Air that is not a preset.

Hi all , thanks for relies. I think I should have worded ? better. I want to be able to have an A/C Be assigned mid flight to a TIC support call on FM like in the Huey. So you are flying along and you get a tasking on your 863. To contact a Unit in Contact say 138.000 and they tell you they are transmitting on 42.50 FM. how do you tune that in. It was not a Pre Brief. Or a Preset. It could be a unit outside of your AO but you are closest to respond.

In the MI-8 can you set a manual FM Freq, say a ground unit sets a homing beacon( I want to trigger a message in game to tune to xx freq for pick up). can you dial in the FM number like in the Huey. ex 42.50. I have looked all over and read the guide and cannot see how.I only see presets

Zuhkov Probaly true, but I think whats is making this last year so frustrating is that, I have yet to see thru numerous videos or been told a kinda guide of what to do when( I know the helos its not a step by step thing). I get the vibration, watching the VSI, looking out ahead and such. Like for example most I have scoured the forums and seen " Keep a steady descent at 2-3ms don't go over 5, down collective and eas back the nose, then come to a hover over your spot and set here down" almost everything I have read and video I have seen. this happens. But none explain the how.(As to what you are or need to be doing) I have done all that above but either vrs or spin left right before or after the shakes. It never goes into a Hover. and kind of same picking up into a hover. I followed chucks guides, watched videos, matched the controls and trimmed and as soon as I slowly pick up like everything says. I spin out or I get up and I am cockeyed. never flat and level. So once again something is missing there. And I know practice practice and more but after over 100hrs it should have clicked. -

That's a Good Idea Crom. Only thing is. I see the landing part. but I don't know how to get to that point. You were flying good then able to get into hover and come down. How do you do that this is the part I don't understand. I will try this if I can find it thanks. -

Art, Thanks and Flamin ill try. What I am finding most problems is in the Landing. Im always over or undershooting my Spot. But when I am Lowering collective and nosing up till the shakes. I pull up the collective to Arrest to the descent everywhere ive read . But I pop up or spin. it never stays even like when descending. Also side note. I notice my altitude Autopilot never stays on when I get to a level flight. Green light comes on then it goes out. Or also I see when I level out and then trim I always seem to slow down even though im going forward and level. -

Hi all I've been reading this for a while over and over again. And have probably over 200hrs. And I still cannot land where I want to say on the Numbers or 1000 ft markers. I can keep between 2/3 MS. But 3 things happen i either hit VRS or some how I get into a hover but way short or or long of my aim point. Or I I'm coming down and get the shakes and anticipate and ad power and I either Spin out or I pop up.please help. I have tried every setting know to man. Currently the way I can even fly is. Is Collective is 2DZ 100x 100y 11 curve. Pitch 0 100x 85y 25curve Roll 0 100x 85y 25 curve Rudder 2DZ 100y 100x 40 curve Stick is Warthog With 20cm extension. I think I need full movement in controls but just slower speed. But i dont think that's possible.i can. Barely get into a hover just on pick up too. I set the controls like chucks guide said. And as soon as I am adding collective nice and smooth to get up it becomes a circus. I've also tried rudder trimmer on, off. Default, Centering trim, Control helper. Everything. I am so frustrated I dont want to give up. But you think after a year it would work. I have watched every video I can find. And the to replicate.but something is missing . -

How can I make an S-300 Convoy Mobile.?? I made the convoy, I selected on Road, speed, and the way points but in game it is set up in Battery. I want to make a Sam Convoy. like enroute to a site to set up. Is this possible?

No Skin Showing Hi All Small question. I'm working on a skin and it is almost complete. But when I put the weapons file in. And test. Everything is good except the plates up by the engine. How can I fix that. Thanks in advance.
