I've been messing and I think that mod about rough metallics is misleading regarding the Huey. Try this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=221194 There's also more threads about this too.....just look under yours. Someone somewhere has done some spec files but can't find where I saw it so I'll just attach the files.
-
Hmmm....main & tail non-civvy files now not there in 1.4....they were in 1.1.
-
Sim now using PBR......specular is old....glossy has turned to roughness so spec files show gloss when they shouldn't. Personally I wouldn't bother with them anymore. Use the Rough Metallic method. Can you post a screenshot of the skin in sim or model viewer (so we see what you see - I'm sure I know what you mean but want to be sure), copy of your description.lua and screenshot of your files. With regards to the rough metallic you'll find huey files in the download in the link in caseyou are not aware of this method (sorry if you are). https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3303667/

In oculus home in the headset in settings you can only set guardian up. If you press the menu button on left controller (I’m right-handed) it brings up where you can set preferences. In general you can turn off personal boundary. This is all I can find. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think they mean how to completely disable guardian. I’ve never done it in rift s but I’m sure in the rift you had to have ur headset on. In your oculus home it was in the settings there. I’ll be home in about 1.5hrs to try and find it again. I’d totally forgotten about this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For those who want it here's a file that makes the green glass inside the cockpit clearer. Just unzip it and add it to you folder and add {"UH1-cpt_glass_dm", 14, "uh1_glass_dif", false}; to your description.lua file. UH1_glass_dif.zip

@mike Busutil Don't know if my PMs are sending so I'll post here too. Just been messing with the file.......saving as different dxt files and lining them all up. Are you saving as dxt1? If so, try dxt5. Still can't get them to disappear though. If you can make the rest of the chopper disappear then you'll have another CIA one I fly on buddyspike blueflag Caucasus so I've submitted your Arctic one so we can use when it's snowing. Was fed-up with flying around in the snow in a green Huey. I'll probably submit the desert one even though I don't fly Persian Gulf.

@Mike Busutil I've attached some files here because I can't find how to do it in a PM (doesn't look possible). I've included the dds file I've used (I just painted it all in for ease) and a snap shot of the setting when I save to dds file. Hope this helps somehow. Blades.zip

Not quite....I know my username gives a false impression...sorry...lol

Strange....lol...I’ve just tried it on ob 2.5.6 and ok....normally if there’s a problem with the texture it shows as that weird yellow n black pattern. Can you send me your files and I will test out here. No problem if you don’t want to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

uh_1_blade.dds file in the Bazar folder. Add it to your folder then add {"uh1_rotor_alfa", 0, "uh_1_blade", false}; to your description.lua file

Also, as a side note I actually like the CIA one with the CIA logo. Lol. Also, also.....it’s has come across my mind before to do an A-Team one but I’ve been put off doing any due to the dcs updates. Was waiting for huey to be revamped before carrying on with skins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@Mike Busutil and anyone else. If you have Nvidia graphics card they have a photoshop plugin so that you can open dds files directly in photoshop and save them as dds files in photoshop. No need to convert. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oculus Rift S With DCS World Discussion @CaptYosi Happened to me on the public testing version but then oculus updated and it stopped doing it. Next update I opted out of public testing but had the guardian issue again. Opted back into public testing and it stopped. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oculus Dash overlays stopped working after 2.5.6 And I was referring to the oculus debug whatsit that shows the hz and performance headroom blah...was showing but since 2.5.6 isn’t....like the OP mentioned. ;) I cannot confirm or deny that dash worked.....OP implies it did by the title. I was asking a question. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had the oculus debug whatsit running the other week. Had the HUD showing in the rift s to check hz when making changes but with the 2.5.6 update it gone. Does anyone else use something else that works in rift s? I believe the steam vr one doesn’t. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Already got windows game mode disabled. No joy. Can we swap pc’s?? Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah...think there’s another thread somewhere about it. One poster says they solved it by turning off windows game mode. I already have game mode turned off and still same issue as you. Hope it gets resolved or if someone can recommend some other performance monitor that we can use. Does the steam vr one work in rift s?? I believe not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
