I think my brain got scrambled after reading every reply in this thread and now I am confused, I think i may as well just do the same thing, how did you do yours? Edit: Resolved, followed instructions to rename the 4 ports in the 4 init files to individual names (instead of right mfd and left mfd) and then used the two for pilot in a new monitor config for the Apache pilot seat. Thank you everyone!

Disabling the cyclic portion of trim in game

I know I will probably catch a lot of flak for this question, but does anyone know a way to disable the cyclic portion of the trimmer mode? I setup my stick to where it just stays where i leave it but my pedals are still spring centered, so i would like to be able to use the trim function but without it artificially trimming the cyclic as well. Maybe in the future for AH-64 special tab under trim there will be a "disabled" option under the cyclic trim options. My thought process was that in the real aircraft the trim function uses magnets to hold the stick in place to keep aerodynamic forces from effecting pilot input, but since thats not a thing for me, just having the clutches on the stick adjusted just right seems to do the trick. The trimmer function causes the center position to change in all three modes. -
This one scared the crap out of me, I created a snow storm mission in the Caucus and had to scramble to figure out if all my defrost and stuff was on, but it kept doing it, only experienced it in the snow storm today though, not the quick action missions.

It helps if you get your flaps and gear out early and get trimmed up before the break, even though thats not the right thing to do, because I cnt trim to AoA fast enough on downwind, that may help

Laser Ring Gyros don't need the calibration, but I think the system that takes the data from it does, which is the calibration portion I believe

Something magical happened, and after the successful (questionably so) trap, something clicked and it became a little easier to not only regulate the throttle but to also start seeing the ball and actually using it, before it was non existent, now I can sort start judging my approach with the ball. Again thank you everyone, were slowly getting there.

Thank you for all the tips and comments, I have been doing some laps and with a tad of stick input have been able to keep the oscillation down to minimum, allowing me to actually get to the groove, I am still very high most passes, but have been able to manage a couple touch and go on the deck... and then realized my hook has been up the whole time... yep, just some good old fashioned stupidity.

I had the same issue, at first I used "slider" checkbox, and adjusted the dead zone with sliders to a perfect spot (whichever one adjusts the bottom dead zone in the bottom left corner), but then i wanted to make a more precise AB adjustment towards the top of the throttle range for my detent and ended up setting it back to normal with a 83% saturation on each end, i still have that issue with the throttle at the lower power setting, but now the power is at 100rpm, and 102FF before I get over the detent for the AB so it works out okay. I used some strong magnets inside the TWCS throttle to create a detent for the AB. I hope setting it to the slider setting and adjusting the saturation at the top right corner to 83% will help you. -
Hey guys and gals, I have been trying to get as much practice as I can doing my around the carrier slow flight, and I am just having the worst time with the plane diving and pitching up in an oscillation. I watched the videos by jabber, Lex and A.E.W, and feel very comfortable with the actual pattern and procedure, but cannot get the aircraft to onto a steady VSI state no matter what I do, it seems like it will stay at a nice fixed rate of decent but then just accelerate down or up depending on the slightest throttle movement. I am using trim for my on-speed and am not using my stick for pitch at all, but no matter how perfect the throttle is set it just starts sliding off up or down, then becomes just a big roller coaster. I am trying to stay ahead of the aircraft in terms giving it throttle ahead of time so I do not chase it, but just cant get it right. Also it seems like even when I level out after the break onto the downwind the plane wants to go swimming :) Anyone have any advice on how to cope with this, or is this a current flight model issue that maybe is causing this? Thanks in advance.

I know it would probably not happen any time soon, but it would be pretty neat if the Mig-29, or the Su-27/ Su-33 which have the PFM, would get a clicky cockpit. I understand there is a lot on the pipeline, but maybe some day. Little background on why I would love this: I used to play quite a bit of A-10C (back in 2015ish) and recently got into the Su-27, and have fallen in love with the Sukhoi, everything about it. Since it is unlikely we will get an updated version of the Su-27, or the Su-35, and I assume many people do enjoy flying the Su-27 it would be like a half step, not quite the huge project that would be hard to get real info for like the Su-35, but would give the Su-27 fans something new to play with.

Sslechta, I will try that too, I have FXAA on I really like it, I will let you guys know if I get it figured out, but so far the FPS has gone up from messing with it, and the stuttering has been almost completely removed, still happens though occasionally.

I went ahead and turned off the V-Sync as recommended and the game seems to run between 75-95 fps, now when there is a frame drop it seems to not be as noticeable, and the stutter is mostly gone. The only time I notice a little lack of smoothness is when I turn my head, but it is very minor and I can live with it. Thank you everyone.

Thank you for the replies everybody, I am not using antivirus on this PC anymore as it did cause stutters in the past, whats the process for renaming the Saved Game folder, do I just clear out the current one and move everything to a new folder?

I am experiencing the same odd issue, I have went through the setting and made sure they are the same in NVIDIA application specific profiles, as well as inside the game. Kind of odd, since I also figured nothing changed in that respect from the Beta to Release. Maybe I am missing something somewhere, will keep looking. -
I installed the release version of 2.5 and made sure all the setting in NVidia and the game were the same between 2.5OB and 2.5, and noticed I am getting some stuttering and frame drops (1920x1080, highest settings, V-Sync on, so frame locked at 60fps) on Caucuses, where I did not before. Usually when flying between valleys, so I had to turn down some features, do we know if anything graphics related was changed between the Open Beta and the release? (I am on a 7800K, with 16gb of RAM, and a 1080, SSD, so I don't think hardware is an issue, since OB ran pretty solid regardless of proximity to terrain, and I made sure that the NVIDIA settings stayed the same for the new build) If anyone has any ideas I would be interested to hear

Night Lighting in 2.5 Release

I was very much hoping for night lighting to be fixed for the release, I did notice that there is a change in how things look at night though, one thing that really stuck out is weird aliasing type effect when looking down at villages or towns at night, it almost looks like heat blur between the camera and the ground objects that have lights.
