  1. Skypat, Problem report #1. Adding multiple skins....no problem Removing skins....slight issue. Some of the skins still show up in the game (selection window only) after being succesfully removed. Restoring the 4 key files from the Hot Restore resolves the issue. I haven't had a chance to examine which file(s) are the culprit yet, but I'll take a look tomorrow.
  2. Skypat, works like a charm. Just split up my four Canadian Skins and converted them, then installed them one after the other using MODMAN 7.1 Beta....no issues. As soon as the official MODMAN 7.1 is released, I'll update my skin pack at lockonfiles to version 1.4 (MODMAD 7.1 Compliant)
  3. Thanks Skypat, going to try it out now
  4. Tbone, the file your looking for is KA-50_Numbers22.tga or KA-50_Numbers23.tga both are located in the KA-60 / Bazar / Temptextures directory Be advised these number templates are NOT skin specific, they are used for the majority of the skins in the game. You can use them as a template (to change color, style, etc.) and then save them with a different name as long as you edit the KA-50.skins file to point to the right file for your skin.
  5. Sunjah, You will not be able to have all of the skins in the game at the same time. After a certain number (forget which) it stops working. I was unable to install my skin pack (all 4 skins), the Ney Years skins, Mitches skins and the DOSAAF skins. It just won't accept that many. The multiple skins file that I made was for my old skin pack which only had 3 skins, and did work fine. However, thats the beauty of MODMAN. You can keep all of the add-ons, and swap them out at the push of a button depending on what mood you're in.
  6. Its not in the template. The numbers use the a numbers.tga file in the temptextures dir (cant remember exact anem of hand)
  7. What screen resolution are running at?
  8. Speaking of Vista, is there any way to turn off the warning that it won't work when installed in the program directory? I have UAC turned off so it works fine, but I get the warning everytime I start it up.
  9. pitbull, Make sure when you are repacking the mod with Modman, that the files are going into the right directorys. I noticed when I did mine (and I've rpacked all of the available skin packs to work with Modman and they DO work) that sometimes it will pick up the proper directory on its own, and sometimes I had to point it to the right spot
  10. 6 and 7 are a seperate skin pack. (believe its the DOSAAF Digital pacl) All of the Euro skins are Mitches (8-16) Not sure about 21 at the moment
  11. Majesco, yes it will, BUT, in order for MODMAN to properly install it, the mod (be it skins/textures/whatever) needs to be packed with MODMAN. I don't believe Mitches skinpack is. You can easily take his skinpack and make it modman compliant( I did) you'll just need to go through MODMAN to do it.
  12. I've uploaded Version 1.3 to lockonfiles. It should show up tonight or early tomorrow. This version is fully MODMAN compliant and includes: Canadian_CADPAT (1 Wing, 427 Squadron) Canadian_Desert (1 Wing, 400 Squadron) Canadian_Navy (12 Wing, 443 Squadron) Canadian_SAR (8 Wing, 413 Squadron) Chukk, not sure about adding new models, mucking around in Photoshop is the extend of my modding abilities.
  13. Hi Guys, Just looking for some feedback. I'm working on a digital camo skin, based off colors from the actual in game scenary. Suggestions and comments welcome.
  14. Chukk, Once I get done adding some squadron markings to all of them, I'm going to release them as a MODMAN pack. This will hopefully simplify things for people trying to add them. Brewber, Don't worry took me awhile to track down it was located too :) You want the KA-50-PAINT2.psd. Then you want the Layer Group Vtulka, then the layer Green Color. This is the rotor tops and the control arms. (although it in no way looks like it)
  15. Well, here is my version of KA-50 in a Canadian Search and Rescue paint scheme based of a CH-149 Cormorant. The crests are markings are from 14 Wing, 413 Squadron.
  16. they are very bright and green......of course so are our CADPAT's......until they get washed :) I may tone done the CADPAT one so it blends in better with the in game scenary. Some updates for skins.... A couple with the squadron logos, and I'm working on a SAR version based of our Comorants for my buddy in the Air Force...
  17. So I'm going to update my skins. Mainly to correct some issues with the CADPAT and being able to see where the seams are. I'm also going to add in the markings for some of our squadrons. Specifically: 1 Wing 400 Squadron, 408 Squadron and 426 Squadron and 12 Wing 406 Squadron and 443 Squadron. I'm in the Navy so getting detailed pics of 12 Wing isn't a problem. (they're all Sea Kings) but I'm going to have to rely on my buddy in the Air Force to see about getting some good pics for the Army Choppers. I'll post some WIC as I progress.
  18. Skypat, thanks for the info. I won't says it's the MOST difficult way of adding skins, but it's certainly........involved. For MODMAN, aside from the .cdds files, can I use it to package the other files with it? After I have modified them by hand? I fully understand the difficulty of trying to get a program to do it automatically, hell even trying to add multiple skins by hand is timeconsuming and I still make typos.....
  19. they're all available at www.lockonfiles.com
  20. T.Bone, generally if you're missing textures it means you missing a .cdds file for that particular skin. The above files, by themselves, will not give you any extra skins. You still need to download, and install all 4 of the skin packs, one at a time. After you install them all, you can add the above files so you can use them all at the same time. Since Modman 7 is now out, I'm going to try converting my skins over to it. Hopefully it will solve alot of issues for adding skins.
  21. Downloading now. Does it come with any documentation on or how tos for creating skins for Black Shark?
  22. As an example, heres a quick from mine. I'm running 1920X1200, textures High, and cockpit resolution set to 1024
  23. strange that Mitches don't work. I should mention that I'm using the English Version, not sure if that makes a difference. On the note of easy installs for multiple skins, I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately as it is now, while making skins is no problem, add the information into the various configs is a PITA. I'm hoping that when MODMAN 7 comes out, it will simplify this. EDIT: SP, when you say Mitches don't work, do you mean the digital ones? Thats was my bad, they are from the Ka-50 Digital Ka-50 DOSAAF download from lockonfiles.
  24. The other big one is being in the correct range. If you are below min range or over max range, you will need get a 'C', regardless if everything has been done properly
