  1. Clearly Igor was carrying WMDs or something. Whatever it was, he looked shifty... clearly deserved a good old shootin.
  2. Nah, havn't tried that to be honest, for now the ones i've done are just dumped on the tarmac with no waypoints or anything. I imagine there is a way of doing it but with my limited experience i'm about as helpful as a brick through the window.
  3. Now it was hardly a mid air collision! I'm sure you were allready on fire on the ground, I just made you a bit more on fire... i'm slowly throwing something together with a few more extras in it, but i'm rubbish with the ME, I'm wondering how to make some jets do continuous circuits and so far can only think of making them have land and takeoff waypoints over and over which seems a bit mental...
  4. So after a load of playing around, me and CrazyD just got some time in, had a blast just flying around trying to land in stupid places. We figured a mission with some empty KA-50s and perhaps a few other things, eg. Migs or something flying touch and go circuits and perhaps an aircraft carrier or similar for crazy landings would be a good starting point for this kind of thing. There may have been the odd accident, for example:
  5. CrazyD: You have msn or anything? I recall having some issues with making a teamspeak server work once before, I can't for the life of me remember how i fixed it though. I'll poke around.
  6. There is a thread on here somewhere, tells you how to do it with PPJoy, GlovePIE and a very simple script, I'll dig it up when I wake up, it appears that Black Shark has had me up til 5am.. again.. so I must sleep. Edit: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=35901 Here is the thread. I had to change the GlovePIE script slightly after spending ages having it not work. A little google loving found me the right one. PPJoy1.Analog0 = 0.5*Joystick1.y - 0.5*Joystick1.dial It works lovely and makes life so much more fun!
  7. I had to assign transmit to something that black shark doesn't use and then program that into the profile for my X52 in the software. I imagine a similar solution would work with the CH software.
  8. Ooh, you're nearly local CrazyD! I think a bit of fun flying in multiplayer would be a great laugh. Something must be planned, anyone thinking teamspeak and a bit of black shark?
  9. Great mission, played it twice now. First time I was spat on by SAM. So badly infact that ejection was not an option due to pilot death. Second time, well.. they got what they deserved. Good job. Edit: Caught me a screenie of the first whoopsie. Some harsh words there :( .
  10. Finally got around to playing with a screenshot, I don't seem to want to spend much time playing with screenshots recently, something to do with spending too much time launching Vikhr missiles. [/url] On the other end of that missile was a defenceless truck but he was asking for it.
  11. Anything with big wings that spin around really fast. Those things with wings that don't move are so daft.
  12. I used some black magic to make the clutch and throttle on my G25 act as a single rudder axis, whilst it works great and is way better than twistytwist, i may have to invest...
  13. Hehehe, a classic. Remember kids, don't try and fly your shiny new helicopter until your instructor arrives.
  14. It's a bit stupid to say but i actually enjoy doing this kind of thing more than shooting at the tanks. Call me crazy, but its just fun.
  15. So uhhh... it was like that when they gave it to me.
  16. Thankyou, this is brilliant stuff! I've been looking for a way to do this for a while, obviously never looked hard enough.
  17. This is great! Damn those SAM launch warnings...
  18. Blindly fired a Vikhr into some bushes on the third mission of the campaign, not realising that the tank shaped thing was a BTR . Oops. There goes my combat score . Edit: That mission is rather cool though, the whole having to climb just into the clouds to clear the mountains is a right laugh, have faith in ye radar altimeter.
  19. Flying into powerlines, stupidly thinking "oh they won't have bothered making collision with the actual cables happen". That was pretty dumb.
  20. I am constantly amazed by the things I keep finding. Just now I managed to land on a building, take off again then follow a truck on a road to a crossroad where I again landed. It seems that after a while flying you just kind of "snap" into it. Everything falls into place! I'm more than hooked on this sim, I'm afraid of never leaving this room again. I've flown stuff in FSX since a few months after it was released, usually smaller GA stuff, the odd go in the Bell and the R22 but this is quite something else. The track file system is useful, especially for fans of video and screenshot stuff, i've only had a brief look but the more advanced view options are great. Keep it up ED, looking forward to both the A10 and AH-64!
  21. More flyable choppers. How easy is that!
  22. I use the "Shooting range" mission a lot. Its around dusk and there is a bit of wind but its great for flying around and having a quick blast to try and get used to the weapons. Only issue is the area around there is kinda flat. If you just want to fly around, there is a cold start mission with no threats and a nav route set up here; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34340 Unzip the mission file into the missions folder.
  23. HOORAH! I just managed to land within 50 yards of where I was actually planning on landing. Thats a first for me in this sim. Very slowly, i'm getting the hang of this... like FlashPan I have only really done some simple flying, with a bit of gunnery on the shooting range mission. Tried the instant action once, got blown to hell.. this may take some doing. Does still feel a bit like a fight, maybe just a little more practice. Loving it so far, amazing work from ED. I wasn't a huge fan of Lock On, I guess i'm just a rotorhead!
