  1. @buceador - i also did not hear switch sounds in your track or in one i made. i went into options and found the switches have their own intensity. i moved slider from 100% to 300%. anyway i can now hear the switches as i remember them.

    though it is not working for you.

    hi rob. what i meant was that roll back to the version that worked. and disable auto-updates which i guessed in a sense was PTC (forcing a test version on everyone). i do not have VR so i am only going by what i have read on the forums.

    although my videocard setting is 120. In others options of sync everything is ok (I can have exactly 120 fps). I can't imagine what is the reason for that. I use f-sync in DCS with in-game sync on, but if this one off result the same / videodriver  has been updated / DCS has been updated / W 10 / i7 / 3070ti / 64 RAM

    P.s all others game also works in fast sync ok 

     

    where are you setting the limiter? in DCS or outside of DCS? Fast Sync itself does not limit FPS.

    well this is an odd one. i cannot say i have ever noticed sounds on and switches. maybe just used to it. what happens if you uncheck the "hear like in helmet"? checkbox? i have always had that box checked and perhaps that is why i dont hear anything. those helmets are pretty tight against the ears and fitted special for every pilot.

    hello. have you tried to rename Saved Games\DCS folder to .BAK? you may need to copy your input files.

    check for a future update. perhaps the patch affected reshade somehow or vice versa.

    you mention reshade. i do believe it is a texture issue. there is a load of these entries in the logs

    is there anyway to disable reshade? i do not use it so i really have no idea how it works. i looked at the dcs.log attachment and that did not show a crash. you sure it crashed? check the date and time on the entry above i provided. was that the time it crashed? i am not sure what timezone the system is using using for timezone. so the time will be skewed to your timezone.

    I watched some more tutorials and find out that the "solution" is to FIRST give the AI a waypoint and then set a task to "escort", this way they'll do the task.

    I thought you could just spawn them and give them the task already 🙂

    i suggest you post a short track so we can try and see the anomaly. a mission too would be helpful. but AI are idiots sometimes. however they have been known to save players too.

    since training missions are in the main DCS folder, a repair should get them back. you may want to remove unofficial mods too.

    however be aware that true training missions are written for the caucus map. the missions are also written for AC and not terrain per se. the other missions you mention are non-training missions, meaning unaided by a tutorial.

    (1) the target designation pipper (visible in the HUD) should get glued to the chosen target point. BUG: the target designation pipper gets glued to the ground position that would have been hit if the bombs actually had released the moment WPN REL was pressed.

    (2) the flight computer should guide to the release point using the azimuth steering line (ASL). BUG: The ASL stays vertically centered in the HUD and does not provide steering guidance to the target.

    (3) the flight computer should release at the right moment to hit the target. This is working as intended, although the azimuth offset cannot be zeroed by the pilot due to missing ASL guidance.

    The "correct" behavior is described as such in the DCS F-16 manual, so I don't think there can by any doubt about whether this is correct or not.

    hello. i am not sure about your steps unless i did not know it was possible. question 1: what weapon are you using? question 2: where in the manual are you finding these steps you are quoting.

    everything i am reading in the manual i have says you have to fly the plane so the pipper is over the target. there is no locking in CCIP mentioned.

    I think I got it. I managed to mix up things from two different videos. I noticed after re-re-watching the Gaffer vid above that he does not "unlock" the vehicle that he boresighted on afterwards. He just goes on. That seems to be the trick.

    I put a Jeep about 1.3nm downfield. Boresighted on that. Put the plane back in NAV master mode and went off to find some things to blow up. Locking on a vehicle with the targeting pod and then TMS right pointed the MAV right at what I was looking at with the TGP. Then you have to chase the vehicle with the MAV in the WPN page to get it locked. Gotta keep playing around with it, I suppose.

    Should the MAV "auto lock" after the TGP handoff? I'm well within range (6nm) of the MAV.

    I upgraded my graphics card over a year ago to NVIDIA 3080 and power supply.

    I was wanting to upgrade my processor to an i9 9th gen however I found out my motherboard on the R7 is not compatible with anything above an i7. During my research on why the computer would not turn on with the i9 installed, if read something that the NVIDIA 3080 is not fully compatible with the motherboard either. Does anyone know if this is true, am I only getting partial benefit from the 3080 card?

    Would going from an i7 to an i9 be much better? 

    My fps in multiplayer is in the 50-60s. I believe was getting 72 fps previously.

    interesting that you read that the video card is not compatible. does it fit and work? i think if it does work, it is compatible. i do not think i7 to i9 is going to matter much for DCS. FPS could be affected by many reasons.

    how old is the equipment you restarted? network equipment, especially home grade, will eventually wear out its usefulness.

    It actually turns out the game didn't have any missing textures. It was a cockpit mod that I had, and seems like it was quite outdated. I removed it right now and the windows are clear and see-through. I actually had the issue again yesterday after adding my mods back, but gave up on searching why. Today, I checked my tech mods folder and the mod was also there.

    give the mod devs some time and they may put out an update for the latest patch.
