  1. I don't have too much problem using VR with a clickable cockpit. If all the key HOTAS buttons are set up you only need to click around the cockpit in the calmer moments. My hand can go from stick to mouse perfectly easily. But what I am having an issue with is the use of the radio. The options are: * Copious use of peering out the noseslit and blindly poking at the keyboard like a twat. * Vaicom voice recognition. But that seems to have gone to ratshit at the last update - trying to fix it. Also, with the better campaigns using a lot of custom radio material I'm doubtful how it would handle that. Does anyone have experience of this? Does anyone have a decent solution to using radios nicely in VR?
  2. Me too. The last update seems to have sent it all to destination fckd. Vaicom. Update the update, please. Update: A reinstall seems to have done the trick now.
  3. Does anyone know if Vaicom pro works with the A10C enemy within campaign. The intro specifies that it has a great many custom messages and it doesn’t work with simple communications on. But it doesn’t mention whether full PTT on Vaicom will work. I’m hoping so since I use VR and the keyboard is not an option. So voiceattack is a boon.
  4. Thanks Sargeant - That was the key bit of advice: Don't fly the FPM into the E, fly the E onto the FPM. I was chasing the E which meant the plane was all over the sky. Instead I need to concentrate on flying and configuring the plane so that the E is over where I want to go.
  5. Backy 51: Many thanks - really useful.
  6. Inconsistent trim response For me the trim and landing system seems to work inconsistently: Sometimes it is like a dream - wheels and flaps and it keeps stable then trim to the middle of the E and float down using only the throttle to control my touchdown point. And then, perhaps half the time, it's a nightmare. Wheels and flaps at 250 and 180 - and then it bucks up chasing the E and losing all speed. When I control the buck up with pitch it works but then doesn't seem to trim up - almost like my button doesn't work. In these situations the E and the glide marker are totally unconnected - swerving past one another only as the airspeed changes. My throttle control is OK but not great: I get leading - moving the throttle early and giving the engines time to react. I just can't make out what makes the difference - some landings are a dream and some are a nightmare and there seems to be no difference in the aircraft setup or my approach. So I guess I have a few questions: Why does it work sometimes, and sometimes not? What causes that initial buck-up? Why does the trim fail to respond on occasions?
  7. Not one shout out for the Eurofighter Typhoon?
