  1. I followed the instructions from Peter (your voice I think ) which was to fly low and fast, and to search 100 metres either side of the route. I saw a lot of vehicles, some of which Peter calls out, but I didn't encounter a suspicious jeep (?) heading east.
  2. Yes I have the same issue. Mission stalls after reference to an armed man at railway crossing closely followed by the sighting of the offshore vessel. I replayed the mission a number of times being very careful to follow all instructions. I noticed that if you approach the convoy too quickly there a number of triggered messages and radio calls that occur over the top of each other so I tried again approaching more slowly which improved matters somewhat. On the last occasion I waited and watched the convoy move off but it was moving extremely slowly and eventually slowed to a complete stop
  3. Just wondering where this is at a couple of years down the track. I have just been taken out twice by AT-11 Snipers with no Laser Ranging warnings. On a busy battlefield, in the absence of the latter, I ignored the missile warnings to my eternal detriment Is it possible that an AT-11 missile can be guided optically? TIA
  4. Some awesome feedback I'm getting here. Thanks so much for taking the trouble
  5. OK thanks. I just watched Wags' LST video and can see I have a little to learn and practice
  6. Hi, I'm fairly up to speed in sp re acquiring and lasing targets from the front or the rear seat with George, however in mp I hear people offering to lase targets for other players. So my question is, if someone lases a target how do I acquire it for targeting? Or is the LFRD code set the same for all players on a particular server? Apologies if this is a somewhat tedious question for more experienced players
  7. Aha! Fascinating. Thankyou for the info, I missed it in the changelog. I also forget to mention that I am using VR. Thanks again
  8. I hope I'm not going to embarrass myself here, but here goes... I've been away for some weeks and arrived back to a couple of updates so I'm unsure if the following issue is due to a bug in the update or me being completely ignorant in the past. Bear with me! When I select NVS Mode Norm and tilt my head (roll) the horizon moves with me, as it does in Fixed Mode. If I move my head in laterally (yaw) or vertically (pitch) it behaves normally. Please tell me it hasn't always been like this and I've simply failed to notice
  9. The only way I have been able to get it to work to an acceptable degree is to first centre the VR view, then without physically moving my head, use the view keys to bring the boresight into alignment and set it. I can then reset the view and I'm in the ballpark at least when using the guns or slaving the TADS to the CPG. I do the same front and back seat and, while not perfect, if I do it carefully it's about the same as I get with a hot start without boresighting. Might just be an issue due to the imprecision of VR
  10. This is odd all these people saying how George is worse since patch For me he now hovers perfectly, almost too well as sometimes I can't tell if I'm in Active Pause or not
  11. Very impressive demonstration of the Ka-50's capability. The rotations about the rotor axis at the start was awesome - I know just how hard it is to do that smoothly! Nice ending btw  Just out of interest do you have any of the AP functions engaged during aerobatics such as this? Cheers :pilotfly:
  12. Thanks for your interest guys. Finally conquered it! It seems the turbine RPM is quite critical. The manual states take-off as 97% and max continuous as 92%. That 5% makes all the difference! :pilotfly:
  13. I seem to be having trouble with this one - my left engine keeps failing at about the same place in the mountains before I reach the FARP. I have tried low altitude approach and high altitude approach. I monitor EGT and turbine RPM. I use rotor and engine de-icing when necessary. Occasionally I might get a VNE warning but that's about it. There doesn't seem to be any failures scripted in the mission. Can anyone shed some light I what I may be doing incorrectly? It's a mystery to me :joystick: TIA
