  1. You can use the hardware trim on the Special tab but you may also want to experiment with just the software trim in DCS (or both together). You will get different results depending on the aircraft. The advantage of software trim of course is that you are not restricted to inputs on the AB9 but can assign it to any input on any control device.
  2. Save them anywhere and then import them on the presets listings page Should be stiff when force trim is applied but finger tip light when trim is released
  3. Yes, have to agree. I've been setting up missions with Briefing Room as a way to explore the map. Early morning with a little lifting fog is absolutely stunning. Good mix of urban, industrial and rural areas with rolling hills. Nice to have some green for a spell. Great map!
  4. I have a strange thing where the trim release in the Apache doesn't work correctly unless I map the aircraft trim release to the same input as I have assigned in the Moza app. Haven't flown the Huey for a while but last time I did it was working fine, ditto the KA-50. I'll check them out next time I'm in DCS. Edit: just checked the Huey and KA-50 and seem to working fine with the Apache preset I shared.
  5. My head hurts thinking about this lol. You may be able to switch axis, but you would have to make a custom mount for your grip wouldn't you?
  6. This depends very much on the sim you are using and the particular helicopter. The Hind preset can be a good starting point but will need a lot of adjusting for say, the R22 in X-plane or MSFS, as it doesn't have any effective force trim. As an example, for the H145 in MSFS I have the spring set at zero and adjust the other settings, like friction etc, to get that 'hydraulic' feel. In DCS with the Apache I use 30% spring which is applied when force trim is active but gives a nice hydraulic feel when in trim-release. If you jump on the Moza channel on Discord you find some good presets for some helicopters. Bear in mind that every time you do a Moza software or firmware update you will likely need to adjust your settings. I've attached a couple you can try. Make sure to adjust the settings on the 'Special' tab to your own requirements. They may or may not work for you depending on your software/firmware versions. I'm on 1.0.5.41 Cockpit and 1.1.1.41 firmware (these are likely beta versions, they change frequently atm) ps: actually that Apache preset is based heavily on a preset worked up by a guy on Discord who has some 3,000 hours on the real machine DCS AH-64D 01052025.preset MSFS H145 01052025.preset

    Control Curves

Page 27 of the AH-64D Early Access guide is what you need The blue boundary indicators will only appear when you have a hold mode applied. FWIW, I have to assign the force trim release control in DCS to the same button as the hardware force trim in the Moza app, else the force trim position (the red X ) won't realign.
  8. I can confirm that the Warthog stick is perfectly compatible with the Moza base. You can work up a profile for any aircraft although some aircraft seem to work better than others. We can only hope that over time it will improve in some regard.
  9. Well there's hope then!
  10. So would that imply that the problem lies with the telemetry, or lack of, coming from DCS as opposed to the the Moza software? Are other devices like the VPForce Rhino similarly affected?
  11. In DCS I get quite good FFB most of the time, with occasional drop outs, with the Apache, Hind and the Gazelle. The Kiowa is very hit and miss but most of the time there no telemetry feedback, ie; translation lift, engine and rotor vibration, etc. The Chinook gives pretty much nothing except a small bump when the wheels touch down (maybe as it's a work in progress the telemetry output isn't finalized). Curious to know what others have found with the helicopters in DCS?
  12. Just a thought as I had a similar problem and it turned out the usb connector had wiggled loose
  13. It seems a bit more stable now also, for me it used to crash every time I exited DCS. X-plane now working although it's going to need a bit of tweaking to get it to feel right for helos.
  14. I've had my AB9 a couple of weeks now and it occurred to me last night while snooping about an enemy airbase in the AH-64D and picking off SAMs, that whilst VR gives you the visual illusion of being in the cockpit, FFB gives you the physical illusion. The aircraft now has 'weight' and tricks your senses in a very real way. A real game changer for sure
  15. Of course, and I read it yesterday. However, I found it easier to comprehend what you had written lol
  16. This is gold
  17. Ok, so just to be sure, there is no longer a visual cue for the laser so we need to slave to a known location or approximate direction so the laser hellfire can find the target?
  18. Yes getting this crash regularly since last patch when tasking George to search for targets
  19. Yes I can confirm that with Fog enabled in the Mission Editor George cannot see targets, even if set to Auto and there is no visible fog.
  20. This was the solution! Knew it would be something simple. Thankyou so much for your help!
  21. Apologies if this has been asked before but a search didn't yield anything. I feel a little stupid asking this as I'm sure the solution will be very simple, but I am unable to find the OH-6A in the mission editor's dropdown list of aircraft. Even when I open an existing mission which contains the OH-6A and copy the parameters exactly I can't find a way to place an additional one Any help would be greatly appreciated
  22. It got a mention in the change log DCS 2.9.7.58923 but it doesn't appear to be fixed, convoy still won't proceed. Shame "AI Ground. When taking control of the vehicle, the column of vehicle stops - fixed."
  23. Well it got a mention in the change log but it doesn't appear to be fixed, convoy still won't proceed. Shame "AI Ground. When taking control of the vehicle, the column of vehicle stops - fixed."
  24. My favourite Apache SP campaign 'Royal Hammer' also unfortunately suffers this problem in missions where it is required to meet certain objectives before commanding the column to advance. In quite a number of missions the columns will stall at a certain point. I have always assumed that something in an update had broken the system.
  25. I seem to remember that happening to me also, then I understood that you shouldn't get ahead of him and only do as he says, when he says
