Anything new from this? Still mission details can't be saved.

After the latest patch it does indeed loads the mission faster. However, there is still 5-15 second stuck in spawning objects. However, great improvement.

I haven't really played dcs lately since the loading issues appeared in december.

Anyone has any progress in this after the last patch? My loading times as being stuck in 'spawn objects' is maybe a bit shortened but still it takes time.

Okay, I will try that. Just to be sure, do you mean to close the game, then unplug or during the game?

I did fresh windows install (from different reasons than dcs) but still decided to start from clean and downloaded the game and modules from the scratch.
Supercarrier module here uninstalled, tried with few mods (uh-60l & t-45) and without and no difference. Pagefile set to 32gb. Antivirus exclusions set to both saved games and the main install.
Specs: Win 11 pro, Ryzen 5800x3d, 64gb ram and rtx4070. Dcs installed to same m.2 drive with windows. Orion2 hotas.

Yeah, same here. It loads but it takes 5min or so to get to cockpit.

It looks like my game still gets stuck on the same situation, spawning objects. Especially F-4E is hard to get working. The same .dll loading issue where it gets stuck, according to log.

If you already have a file named autoexec.cfg in "Saved Games/DCS/Config", edit it and add this line:
no_device_hotplug = true
And if you don't have such a file, here is it.
Does it change anything for you?
This might have resolved my issue. Tried it twice and it didn't stuck at spawn objects. Promising. I'll continue my tests when I have more time.

FWIW I just reinstalled Windows and DCS from scratch (for another reason) and I still encounter the same problem. Today I went to load a basic flight just an F-16 in Nevada, no mods or anything. And it hung for probably 15 minutes.
Attached a log if someone wants to look.
Do you have Win11 and 24H2 update?
My game also started this behavior in december.

I also updated Windows 11 to 24H2 and that was probably when this happened. I've tried complete clean DCS reinstall and that hasn't helped.
I can also verify that loading into a slot in SP loads normally. And that if you do this BEFORE joining a MP server and picking that same jet/helo you will load into the slot instantly. But if you load into MP "cold" DCS will appear to hang because as seen in the logs people have uploaded the specific plane(whatever plane/helo slot was selected) take MINUTES to load each dll.
So for the ED testers what is the difference between first loading the dlls in SP vs MP?
I've tried this in several servers with TONS of slots and servers with only 6, and it makes no difference.
Are any ED testers on 24H2?
Check the dcs.log file and see if the game hangs on each modules .dll file. I did some tests today and everytime when the game hangs on spawning, it's loading for example FA18C.dll.

Tried again with exclusions and repair and it hangs like before. It's about the .dll files, according to dcs.log.
edit. Yeah, did some tests and it definitely hangs on loading FA18C.dll for example if I choose the hornet.
@Flappie Any change to notify this to ED?

Same here on basic simple SP mission with only one player plane on runway. If you set plane as client instead of player on mission editor. It loads the mission just fine, but as soon you load the slot, it hangs.

It has something to do with loading .dll files. It take takes a long time to load those. This is most likely the same bug as the MP slot selection bug where game hangs.

At first I deleted the input folder, then I tried deleting the whole dcs.openbeta folder from the saved games. Then repair and the problem was still there. Reinstalled everything from the scratch (which apparently was pointless) and started the game without any mods and with just keyboard installed. And the game hangs.
AI planes load just fine, but cockpit seems to be the issue. And it's not consisted, sometimes it miraculously loads just fine with my orion 2 hotas. But most of the time it just hangs on "spawn objects". Sometimes waiting up to 15min works, rarely alt+tab to taskmanager works. Tried Logviewer too but it gave me pretty much same results as looking through the dcs.log.
This must be an bug related to MP spawn issue since these appear to be same kind.

Yes it just hangs. No crash until I open task manager and then switch back to dcs, the windows says that the program doesn't respond etc. Sometimes if I wait like 15 min it might load and go to cockpit.
This hang doesnt usually happen with AI controlled planes.

Apparently this still requires FC modules? When trying it from mission editor, it just spawns on map.
