Hi, Probably its a bit early to ask, but I would like to ask if the new Thurstmaster F/A-18C stick will be compatible with the Virpil WarBRD if that information can be shared.

This update is huge !. Thank you so much ED for the countless work hours and dedication to perfection.
-
Ok, I now got it! I forced it using the "DCS_updater.exe update @openbeta" CMD command. Maybe it had switched to stable somehow (..?)
-
I run the DCS_updater.exe found in the "bin" directory, but no luck. Isn't it the same? Any other idea?
-
Still no update in my end. Is the update server region specific?

I remember I have seen a comment of Wags on Facebook, where someone asked "what's after June 5?" and his reply was "ea release". So, it should be after the 5th that was the planned release. Of course there could be a delay, I guess they may let us know.

I'm also considering to purchase the TM Warhog to use it on my WarBRD base, but the weight consideration is holding me back. The best solution in my opinion would be either Virpil to provide strong springs especially for the TM Warhog stick or even make their own version of the A10/F16 flight stick. Considering the upcoming ED F-16C module I think it would be great selling product.
-
I also just proudly pre-purchased:D I own all ED modules and this for me is the best quality guarantee that they will do their best with the F-16C. A year ago I could only dream and wish that an F-16 existed in DCS, so this is literally a dream come true. Showing my support and gratitude to Eagle Dynamics by pre-purchasing is something I happily did. I don't think people should doubt ED's practice, its money that keeps the development going and we will also get the product the day its released having paid a discounted price, so its a good agreement and support move for DCS fans. Fortunately DCS gave us so many modules to keep us busy until the F-16C comes to our hands. Thank you Eagle Dynamics for bringing us the Viper ! An excellent choice. This should be the first May that I look forward for autumn to come :)

Could you explain? I had pre-ordered the standard MT-50 and got it in September 2018. I guess what the phrase you quoted says is that people who have the MT-50 in pre-order right now will be upgraded to the CM. Not people who already own the MT-50 and had originally pre-ordered it. Am I right? (I hope I'm wrong..)
-
To me its unacceptable that they release a new version so fast. They don't give any upgrade path to the customers supported them less a few months ago who have to stay with the "old" version now. You can buy V3 in July and know that next year there may be a V4 with new detents and other advanced features..

Thank you SO much @RustBelt ! Amazing explanation in combination with the photo. Thank you!

Thank you very much Ala13, your answer certainly helped me. I will also try to understand the video translation for the gear function. For sure though a more thorough explanation of the levers and manipulators in English would be a great help from the developer.
-
Hi, First of all, this is a very good modeled aircraft many thanks go to the developers for their work. The complain that I have so far is that the manual is very small and does not go into depth of how many of the levers and systems work. Is there more documentation planned? Also, for now, can anyone help understand some of the levers? This aircraft has for sure many.. 1 ) Augmentation lever 2 ) Supercharger lever 3 ) Aneroid capsule hand wheel 4 ) Manual flywheel clutch lever 5 ) Emergencey gear lock 6 ) Gear (extension/retraction) break lever 7 ) Gear Jaw lever 8 ) Gear (retr./ext.) break lever

Thank you for your input. Unfortunately I'm located in the EU, so I would avoid purchasing from the US due to custom fees.

Hi all, I am interested in mounting my VPC WarBRD/T-50CM and MT-50 throttle and looking for the best option. I am looking at VPC's desk mounts, however I am a little worried about the stability of this setup. My desk is around 3cm thick with a rounded edge and given the weight of these devices, I would be dissapointed if there is flex or shake during gameplay. What is your experience if you own the VPC desk mounts? On the other hand I am also considering a custom setup where I will mount the WarBRD and MT-50 throttle on a floor mounted setup. I am sure this setup will be very stable with probably not any shake or flex, however it may not look as sleek as VPC's solution. What would be or is your solution? Which way you think one can get a better result?

Virpil you should really do something to increase your stock
Ifikratis replied to Ifikratis's topic in VIRPIL Controls
I am satisfied with their product, not satisfied with their strategy and low stock. Take for example the new throttle. In just 6 months from its initial release they have released another version and no upgrade path to the previous customers. I am not saying that the new version is better, maybe I prefer the 4way hats over the 5. But I find it disrespectful after so many preorders to say to all these people "We don't care, you can stay with the old design" and give them no path to upgrade. -
Virpil you should really do something to increase your stock
Ifikratis replied to Ifikratis's topic in VIRPIL Controls
I didn't said they own me something. Its a public forum where I can express my opinion. My opinion is that they have to increase their stock. I was waiting and I am mad I will have to wait to the end of March to get an opportunity to order again. If its so intimidating for you that I said that, I can rephrase: - Virpil, can you do something to increase your stock? Better? -
Just four hours after the restock time and the desk mounts and adapters I wanted to order are again out of stock. This is the way that Virpil customers have to shop? Pressing F5 every second on the announced restock time and hope to be lucky? People have jobs and other things that have priority in life that can't be over a computer the announced time. These have no luck to purchase? Virpil you should do something for your stock. Hire more employees, buy more machines, I don't know, you have to figure what. But this situation is not working for customers.

Introducing the VPC MongoosT-50 CM... 2 Grip!
Ifikratis replied to Cyph3r's topic in VIRPIL Controls
@dburne and @Sokol, thank you very much for your replies. So it is not something I would care, except of losing the extra push function. As I said I haven't used my grip yet so I don't know how much the trigger will last if it ever breaks. For me the reason to get the CM2 would be only the thumb 4-way/push button. On the other hand paying just for one button is too much to justify. I will prioritize to get my desk mounts in my next order. Still, I would appreciate if Virpil could exchange my new/unused grip or at least give me a discount. @backstab, I am also not satisfied that I would have to pay again full price for CM2 (especially because my CM1 is new/unused), however I wouldn't say that Virpil did a mistake with CM1 intentionally. I believe the reason CM1 is like is without the thumb 4-way/push hat is because they wanted to replicate the real T-50 joystick design which appears like that in the pictures I've seen. Still, they could offer a discount to previous owners, especially because they are a new company and customers trusting a new company is very important for the growth of the company. -
Introducing the VPC MongoosT-50 CM... 2 Grip!
Ifikratis replied to Cyph3r's topic in VIRPIL Controls
I unfortunately ordered the T-50CM in November and have not yet used it once as I am still waiting for my new GPU. Now I see the new version and Virpil will not exchange my grip.. Besides the extra push buttons that I wouldn't mind, what I mind the most is the thumb hat and some information regarding the materials upgrade. It is not very clear in their product page. Can someone explain what "an enhanced polyamide material" means for the trigger? and also what " high quality ALPs units" means for the hats? What are the actual benefits? -
The annoying part is that I want to place an order for a full set of throttle/stick desk mounts and if a new desk mount is to be released in a month or so, that would really annoy me if I like the new one more..pity we are completely on the dark on this.
-
Exactly. The mount shown here has a slight angle which also makes it more pleasantly design in my opinion.
-
Hi all, I just noticed this picture on the facebook page of Virpil and it seems to me like a new type of desk mount. Can we have some information about if its a production unit and what are the differences with the current one? I am thinking to place an order and would like to know if a new mount is on the way.

Heatblur's latest Facebook teaser I hope next post won't be like "Fox 3 - We are sorry a phoenix missile took out your Christmas present" :P
-
Because Heatblur has revealed that they target this month, I expect that they will make a statement this week or the other if release has moved now to 2019. If they stay silent even after middle of December, I would still think there is going to be released this month even with a week notice. Otherwise I find no reason to not let us know that is not going to happen this month if it has already been decided. It costs nothing to post that and it won't break any promise. Just relieve the stress of checking every day.
