I had the same thing today. The Intercom needs to bee turned on for you to hear the message. Maybe this fixes your problem.

Thanks fixed in 1.9.1
-
Thanks all for you support I hope it gives you many happy flting hours. I finally took some time for myself so I'll be flying the Shark a bit more the nex comming days/maybe weeks. As a kickoff I uploaded version 1.9 some minor changes it's in the first post. Enjoy !!!
-
Your welcome I hope it helps you fly this beast a bit easier. =-) You also put a lot of time in creating something that should be standard with this superb sim. You are very welcome. Allthough I hardly have time to fly the Shark I'm happy to see that my effort helps you guys out.
-
Thanks all for your support. It's been a while since i've been here, due to work and the home study I'm doing. Didn't even find the time to run the Shark. Again thanks all !!!.
-
My comment was not meant for you SNAFU, as I appriciate your remarks to make my checklist better. Thanks !!! The last three comments before my reply were referring to the other checklist. I don't have any problems if people are making checklists of their own, ofcourse not. But I do find it a bit rude to use someone elses thread to give support to your own checklist, while I have put so much effort in mine.
-
It feels a bit like my thread is being hijacked. I've put a tremendous amount of time in my checklist, and now someone else comes along and uses my thread to promote his checklist, and troubleshoot the problems in his checklist. It feels a bit awkward. I know I don't have the time to create new (ECL) checklists, but I will still maintain the checklist I created.

What version do you use? 1.2.0 or 2.02? -
Ahhh the good old days, do you remember the turbo button? Instant overclock from 75MHz to 100MHz (I had the slower 66MHz). Even my phone has 6x more speed than back then. All that fiddling with autoexec.bat & config.sys, to get enough extended memory (like 500KB) to start the games. Hehehehe When a flight sims was a F-117 made out of 20 pixels on highest res. With the sound of a broken speaker. And you had to make pictures of ships. LOL Hmmmm my first sim....*Dreaming* LOL Back on topic: But do you really want all those people here, everybody with at least some interest in sim flying knows were to find only the best sims. I don't need all those wannabe flightsim/arcade players. Now we have a forum where we can learn from eachother and have fun. I even was amazed about the amount of people of this forum allready.
-
Amen!!! I totally agree.
-
It's in Dutch. Not Danish. And you have a point, but everyone knows that to really get an impression about this Sim you need a week and maybe more to get a good impression.
-
Yeah indeed I forgot that part.

That's been on Discovery Channel. It was a DHL cargo a/c hit by a surface to air missile, fired by the terrorists in Iraq. It took out al hydraulics. I believe it has been the only a/c ever to make it back without hydraulics. The landing on the Hudson was a miracle but this was even more skill, all crew, 3 in total, had to work together to make ik back to the airfield. just using thrust. Edit : A link to the video of the actual firing of the surface-to-air missile, and the aftermath while still flying : http://www.1001crash.com/telechvideo.php?video=dhl_A300_v&lg=2&nonjava=ok Images of the aftermath while the a/c was landing an after it landed : http://www.1001crash.com/photo-accident-dhl_A300-lg-2.html Well I work with helicopters every day on my job, so I have quite a good idea what they can sustain. But I know how close Rotor-Track-Balance adjustments have to be. And losing half a rotorblade is just crap. It'll destroy the a/c.

Saitek, new beta 2 software (10th Feb)
SDeath replied to Tehrawk's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It did return, but with the help of this forum, and deleting a .dll file in the \bin\stable\ directory, eveything worked as it should again. -
I think with the imbalance they sustained, it's impossible to fly it back to base. Very soon everything will start to fall apart, the shaft and maingearbox aren't capable of handling that kind of vibration very long. Offcourse miracles do exist. But I think no one would try to fly it back. Who knows when everything falls apart. As long as you have control, try to land.

It happend to me once while doing one off the missions when you have to fly over the high snowy mountains. I couldn't get over the top so I backed up to get some extra height and speed to get over them (Damn that powerloss modelled in is so real). But at one point to get some speed, I was quite low over the glacier and somehow too close to a bump on the right so I lost half a blade. I pulled it up to get some height again and find a place to land, I put it down on a flat spot on the glacier. But damn that was hard to fly. Indeed it shaked like a washing machine. But in the end when I shutdown I was very proud of myself that I was able to put it down. The last 10 seconds of the shutdown the Black Sharked was humping on the ground due to the imbalance. It was fun. A nice example of what happens when you loose a piece of your rotor blade: This is a dutch police Bulkow, who was trying to land in a street, he striked a lightpole and lost a piece of his mainrotor blade. The piece went through a houses window and caused quite some damage, luckily no injuries. If you look close you can see the helicopter vibrate due to the imbalance. He finds himself a better place to land very quick. =-)

Saitek Beta 2 programing software 6.6.20
SDeath replied to Slayer's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Working Fine, finally a working Software pack. I still needed to remove the .dll file in the \bin\stable\ folder for the MFD to work normally. Without the Rullez!! Saitek message appearing. Further, all buttons for now seem to work, including all the button names appear on the MFD as they should. I lost my entire HDD installations including the Black Shark installation. So I have to re-create my profile, but now I can do it in the SST software instead of the game itself. Well for most of the buttons. -
Saitek, new beta 2 software (10th Feb)
SDeath replied to Tehrawk's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ok I found the latest drivers browsing through the ftp server from Saitek. I now have the same version as you have. Thanks for the info. I'll test now to see if the message returns on the MFD, I'm afraid it will. -
Saitek, new beta 2 software (10th Feb)
SDeath replied to Tehrawk's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Doesn't the package include the new drivers then? I did install them but it only updated the SST portion. Whatever I try it doesn't update the driver portion. Isn't it a total package, the 6.6.2.0 package then? -
Saitek, new beta 2 software (10th Feb)
SDeath replied to Tehrawk's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Will I guess I upgraded from a very old version. I didn't see the MFD crash anymore with the Saitek Rulezz!! Message. Also I did a clean install of Vista x64 before installing the older drivers then I noticed there were newer so I installed them. What Driver version are you seeing. Mine still says 6.0.5.12 While software version is 6.6.0.38 What would be the best procedure to remove the old drivers and install the new. -
Then he still needs multiple papers, and he needs to look for every key. Not very handy like that.
-
I'll add them tomorrow, I hope it still fits on the 4 pages. I really don't want to go over it. Your welcome, have fun with them. =-)

Version 1.8 is online now. I fixed a error, the ground power request key assignment was wrong. Thanks Nightshadow81 for pointing that out to me. The Pro version also was updated to version 1.8 but nothing was changed. Just to keep things more clearer. Version number always correspond.
-
Your last statement would suggest it's not a backup, as if anyone of them should go offline then the other should takeover the functions. So i'm quite sure it's for ground maintenance, that's what the manual says too. Probably some systems don't come on in the background to prevent accidents.

Does anyone know if it is modelled in the sim? If so I will add it to the list.
