  1. While I love the small details like this, it is over modeled, in that it fogs up way too fast or in ways that the actual temp/dewpoint would not allow. I would personally like these to be an option that I could turn on/off in the settings menu for the module. That and the "freezing pilot" feature.
  2. FYI there is a cockpit trainer you can get in at Tillamook Air Museum in OR. Its a bit worn and missing some dials, but likely one of the only opportunities.
  3. Just in case you are asking about the thrust issues (which could be related depending on how the FM is done in the DCS game engine). Good luck with the bug hunting and thank you for your attention.
  4. FYI there is a known bug about engine thrust being related to ground speed instead of airspeed that I don't believe has been addressed yet. I have also heard there are issues with drag calculations as well. Check the bugs section.
  5. I think it may also have something to do with clearing the rear strakes as well.
  6. Hello LN/M3! Just wondering if there is any news to share, or if there will be some sort of a newsletter at the end of the year with more info? Hope all is well and looking forward to the F-8!
  7. Yes, any of the other ordinance as singles on the inner racks would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Hello Deka, Hope all is well. Is this still on the back burner? Also will other weapons from the PAF/PLAAF be brought in as well like the PL-9, the Brazillian MAR-1, or other MIL-STD-1760 bombs? The BRU-33s on the inner pylons would be a huge help as well if that's allowed.
  9. .. Bump! Hope everyone has been trying to get some vacation around the Covid stuff, but still hoping this will officially be brought back.
  10. So just to tie these two together.... The last update that ED hadn't found anything wrong, was missing the item that they also have not moved the corrected/audited values to public beta yet, so this will need to be looked at again after the changes get pushed to public beta. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4358394&postcount=3
  11. NL, I get that you are trying to direct the conversation to the core question, which is 'what do modders want?" so I will try to distill what they are asking: We want the SavedGames/Mods route to work in the same way that modifying the LUAs or other files directly in the CoreMods folder does now. We get that this is because of a new security concern with a cracked copy of DCS being released into the wild via some method leveraging the unlocked CoreMods folder in some way. So again, is it possible to have changes put into the SavedGames/mods folder do this with the same capabilities as were previously available? Can a dev tell us if this can be done, and if so, how long will it take?
  12. Wow. Not even close. Regardless: Eagle Dynamics what is going to happen now that this change has occurred? Can better support be implemented for the savedgames/mods route with similar capability? If so, what kind of timeline would it take?
  13. This 1000% We only started modding items in the CoreMods section because of this reason - it was the only accessible area that worked. If this doesn't affect Integrity Checking, I don't see why this would be an issue, especially if it allows ED to secure their code for this new cracked copy floating around.
  14. I understand there is some complexity to this issue, but I really hope this was an accidental hold over from testing and not an indication of how ED will be treating mods going forward. If so this is definitely eating the seed corn.
  15. Wow... Textbook example of "you get more flies with honey than vinegar" or what... I would try to find where your data is actually apples to apples to start and go from there...
  16. Hi L0op8ack That's a shame - was really looking forward to some fun Planes and Mercs shenanigans on SP with some friends. I thought Integrity Check would weed out anyone not playing with a stock configuration, but I am sure asking more about why delves into "need to know" territory that shouldn't be shared. If this does change back, do let us know! Keep up the good work and good luck with the next aircraft project - really looking forward to whatever it ends up being, even if it isn't the Q-5 :smilewink::joystick:
  17. I was tinkering with the mod and I got AIM-7s to load on the outer pylons and they are clearly talking to the fire control computer, but they will not "ready" and thus will not launch. Seems the launch trigger is now hidden on the encrypted side of the module now. Too bad since this is likely the closest thing we will ever have to the F-20. :( :( :(
  18. Hello, So I fly on Hoggit regularly and I am getting pretty tired of manually editing one of the radio frequency presets to 249.5 every time I boot up the jet. Is there a spot where I can edit this out of game permanently so that it is set up to have a preset channel with 249.5? Thanks!
  19. I just wanted to say thanks Worrazen - This problem was causing some major FPS lock-ups when I went to 2.5.6 for the first time which was compounded by my c: drive being compressed when I upgraded the OS a month ago and needed just a tiny bit more room for the swap. I watched the system resource monitor while sitting in the hangar on the ground to ID if there was a GPU or CPU bottleneck but the drop/freezes matched 1:1 with 100% load spike to C: . Now that I have uncompressed C:, FPS is much better, but I still get drops to 20-30 FPS that now coincide with spikes to my SSD game drive (F: ) and now almost zero usage on C: Hope this tidbit helps ED and you continue your investigation. At least its playable now.

Hope you guys had a good holiday off and looking forward to F-1 news someday soon!
  21. But is this any different than the Mavs on the triple racks on the F-16? Seems a bit odd to play one way on one aircraft, but not on the others...
  22. So.... hows it going with the F-8 M3? Even a "still working on it" would be great to hear!
