Hello, In the same same context & approach of the mission I have proposed previously (see post above), I propose you a second Jabo mission (with many difference as flight route, main target, another unit join the formation ...) : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/fr/files/3307259/ (French release included) Few words about it: - Historical approach (I tried) - Bad weather - Actions over Normandy beaches - Heavy mission requiring compromise (fps vs atmosphere), 16 Go RAM recommended - Voice messages - Kneeboards - Documents available to prepare your mission For me, it was not an easy task to make it. I would appreciate to have some advises to improve myself. Thank you and be gentle. I hope you will have a nice time to play it :) Belly ;)

Hello, A corrected release (v2) is available: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/fr/files/3306976/ Modifications are: - Your wingman will fly now closer to you - All aircrafts have their identification n° changed (some were identical or not correct). Thank you again to Reflected who gave me a way to correct the wingman formation :) Belly

After many tests, I get it  It was the CAS default option which makes the mess. Just remove it and it works. Thank you Reflected to show me the path. Belly

Thank you very much for your answer Reflected :) I think I have done what you do, but I still do not manage to get the wingman close to me. It is on a SP mission in Fw190A8. This evening, I will try on another SP mission in Spitfire. Belly

Hello, When playing offline with a wingman without specific flight route, this wingman follows (fine) you but he remains far from you at many hundred meters. For ww2 atmosphere it could be better. I have tried to add 1 or 2 waypoints around the airfield with the formation option to get him closer, without success :( What do you recommend to get the wingman flying not too far from his leader (the player) ? Also, I would appreciate to be able to ask AI to change the formation type. Belly

Hello, It is difficult to answer, however I do not have a recent rig: CPU I5-4690 3.5GHz / GPU GeForce GTX 960 / RAM 16Go and also an old TrackIr 3 For DCS graphic settings I set them on medium level + some features with some improvements So I would say, try it :smilewink: Belly

Hello, Thank you very much for your feedback :) You had impressive damages, well done for the landing  I have played entirely this mission twice in the final release (my last check), for both I had to manage different closed threat events (for one I was lucky to be back). Some fps figures I have during this mission; - Over the beach I get some fps sudden drop around 20 - There is an area with an air battle, there I get some fps sudden drop around 30 to 35. But depending on where I see fps are around 45 to 55 Another figure during this mission, with a minimum of application running; Windows10, TrackIr, DCS (no IE windows or whatever), I have 12.9Go of RAM used. Belly :smilewink:

Thank you. I like also this screenshot of the beach from landing ships. Belly

Yes  Please, it would be nice to be able to make more rich sceneries. Today it is quite poor specifically for airfield. Thank you very much in advance. Belly

Hello, It would be nice to have the possiblity to get AI aircraft WITHOUT navigation lights turned ON. On front area such lights were turned off for secure reason. So it tends to break the front atmosphere. At this time, the AI aircraft turned their navigation lights ON from the end of the afternoon to the begining of the morning. On my side, with this status, building a mission in this time range is avoided. Thank you Belly

Hello, WW2 AI aircrafts turn their navigation lights on from "end of the afternoon up to begining of the morning". Did I miss something ? Otherwise, does it exist a way to have those navigation lights turned off ? It is not very safe in front area :music_whistling: Thank you very much in advance. Belly

Hello, Playing only with ww2 planes, I may made a thread in less relevant section: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=245988 Well, in regards on Spitfire/Fw190A-8 & Bf109K-4 planes (I did not try other modules), in mission editor I do not find a way to give AI task for ground target. In mission editor, advanced WP, Search & engage selection gives only the choice for air target. It is the only way I have found for the P51 to attack vehicles or other ground targets. Does it exist an other way ? Did I miss something ? Thank you very much in advance. Belly

Hello, I am also facing to a pb to retract the landing gear. With a Fw190A-8 from a starting with “Take off from runway” or in flight, it is working well to retrac or to raise the landing gear. When I start a mission from a cold engine state, I do not manage to retract the landing gear (checked also by external view). In the cockpit the “Rollwerk” set of buttons works according to the command done by the key-G or with the mouse, but the landing gear still lower. However, the mechanical indicators give the correct information (in that case, landing gear lower). I did tests to retract the landing gear at low speed (< 250km/h & even <200km/h), I was in SP mission. I have noticed that in the circuit breaker panel, the “undercarriage control” button does not work “ON” or “OFF” position. This "Undercarriage control" button is set on ON position when the “repeater compass” button is set ON. I have the latest Stable release. Belly -
Hello, May be I am off topic, but historical approach may also be considered in a ww2 simulation. Charts given by test measurements with protocols give features from aircraft in a very good condition. In operation, on the front airbase, what were aircraft conditions ? Many of them were in a certain degree of wearing, some of them had been repaired … well not all aircrafts were in the same condition. Depending on the context some of the aircrafts were quite far from their original performance. Belly

Hello, This message appears when you are in online mode without connexion (on the net). To get read of this message, you must have an internet connexion and open DCS with connection. If you want to be offline, then at this stage (DCS opened without this message) you have to specify the offline mode on DCS and you can play as long as you want without internet. Recently, I had lost my internet connexion. My DCS was in online mode, I get also this message, and after the quoted delay it was not possible to play. Only after the repair of the internet line, I could open DCS with internet connection to be able to play. Belly

Hello, I do not know if it is the same problem, but recently I had also some weird stuffs with AI (in single player mode through mission editor): https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=231101

Hello, I am on the last stable release. Building a mission with AI aircraft, I am facing to a pb I do not manage to find a solution. I set an airplane group (2 Spitfire for this example) with task combat air patrol, with altitude 1500m / speed 450km/h with 3 WP (distanced of more than 10 km between them) type turning points. Well nothing special ... Playing the mission, I notice that this airplane group after 3 to 5 km begins to climb very steep and loses their navigation WP :( I made tests with another aircraft (P51D), another task (CAS), another sector on the map, new airplane group. The behavior is identical  In the same mission, some other airplane groups follow WP as wanted. Does anyone have seen the same phenomenon ? If yes, any solution ? Thank you very much in advance.
