  1. Hi, Sorry that my video is not so clear. From memory: With the TGP off, select Mavs from the stores page, warm up your Mavs and uncage one. At this point the Maverick seeker will be pointing elsewhere. Bring the TGP on, acquire your target and designate it. SSF to bring the Mav's seeker into the target. When you get in range, use the regular MAV standard operating procedure to carry out your Mav's launch. The TGP will stay on after you fire. You can re-acquire targets. Rinse and repeat. Cheers,
  2. Hello, This is what I do to avoid the TGP going offline. Hope it helps. Cheers,
  3. Thanks so much, Chuck!
  4. That's one the things I first noticed. Take a look at this strafing run I recorded: 5.9 Gs at M 0.83. Cheers,
  5. Very good question ...
  6. Hi and thanks Unfortunately, it doesn't work. You get a message "Version 1.5.8.13716" is not available.
  7. Customer since Flanker 2.5, here. I just upgraded to a new computer yesterday and was caught reinstalling all of DCS flavors. Sans the Open Beta, it turns out. I don't think that a new installer will be available tomorrow. I think it's going to be weeks before we see that. Cheers,
  8. Thanks! It threw a message "version not available" ... It seems they removed the open beta maybe?
  9. Thanks, but it doesn't update and it shows that you are up to date with 1.5.8.
  10. The same here, massive FPS drop. How do I remove the fix? Thanks! EDIT: Never mind. Fixed it.
  11. That's awesome. Is it modeled in the sim? Cheers,
  12. Note the guidance of this Sidearm (target is the Tunguska). It's kinda cool how it lags a bit behind the enemy vehicle. With guidance error or not, the Sidearm got the Tunguska. At least this time. The above taken from a debrief at my blog. https://kriegsimulation.blogspot.com/2017/12/dcs-av-8b-night-attack-vstol.html Cheers,
  13. Off topic but still related to this: I tried to hit a moving Tunguska with the Sidearm. The missile tracked the target pretty well but in the end it hit a supply truck moving behind the Tunguska. Is the Sidearm supposed to be used against moving targets like the Tunguska? Cheers,
  14. So looking forward for it! :pilotfly:
  15. Thanks to you for this masterpiece. Cheers,
  16. I gathered some ideas from here and there and put them together in a blog post: http://kriegsimulation.blogspot.com/2017/09/dcs-operation-epsom-campaign-some.html I'm going to be posting about strafing pretty soon. Cheers,
  17. Thanks! Great video.
  18. I moved my DCS World into a cheap SSD (US $80.00). I did set up my page file on the SSD. It works beautifully. Mission 1 of the campaign is now perfectly flyable in my old rig (i7 3.4 GHz, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce GTX 970, 240 GB SSD). I get around 55 fps max, 34 fps min. That is without the "radio kill" option. If I use the "radio kill" option, I get around ~97 fps max, 50 fps min. Eventually, I will have to upgrade. But I'm very impressed about how the SSD changed the game play for me. Cheers,
  19. Thanks for the radio command. I don't see that previous FPS drop to 14 when I use the command. :) Just great. Flew again the first mission yesterday and killed myself during a poorly executed dive that rendered my virtual character unconscious. Good times ...
  20. Thanks! Looks like a painting.
  21. This one goes into my wallpaper.
  22. What kills my virtual pilot is that I get 50 fps plus minus change, steady for five seconds, and then it drops to 15 or so for half a second. Can't coordinate my rudder kicks with that micro interruption. With just stubborn persistence, I flew the first and second missions. The frame rates increased a bit. But I also tried to optimize my in-game settings taking hints from here and there. So it is hard to figure out now if I got into the sweet spot for visuals or the campaign later missions are less demanding as one gentleman said in this thread. I will post my settings later today. Cheers,
  23. Hi zionid, I took the visuals all the way down to the 1980s and still the hiccups are still there. I don't think is the rendering, I believe is that my older generation i7 and RAM are not coping with the amount of units in the scenarios.
  24. Hi and thanks for the pointers. I already have the shadows to flat and lowered everything to very low. Still, the frame rates are so poor that I can't even take off nicely. It's kinda strange, because I can run 6 vs 6 dogfights with almost everything maxed out at 70 fps. I think is the high amount of units playing tricks to my computer ... Cheers,
  25. I can only comment on the pre-flight content. Briefings are pro level, I've never seen something as good as this. It really puts you in a briefing room. Congrats. Unfortunately for me, I can't fly this campaign in my current rig (i7 4.2 GHz, 16 GB RAM, Geforce GTX 970). Cheers,
