  1. WIN7 should be fine with the dell... XP would be an issue!
  2. Well, you can use Helios to make a stick profile!
  3. I bought it , I guess you just turn it on a pipe to thread it... now I need a connector...
  4. What about the M36*2 hose connectors?
  5. Don't they sell these correct connectors in GER.. local hardware stores?
  6. Hey , would anyone be willing to help us US guys find some connectors and pipe for an extension? I can't find MM parts anywhere! Thanks, FLIM
  7. Would be awesome as a floor mounted base and a hog stick.
  8. I have a laser engraver to help, but the rubber button idea would be the best option if the price is okay.
  9. I built an I7 950 system for about 1100 with 64 ssd , 5870 *6 2 gig , gigabyte x-58, 6 gig , new power supply. All is good and I can normally run around 50 to 60 on four screens. I use HUD only a lot due to having the touchscreens/Helios and this will improve the FPS. I see 100 fps at higher altitudes.
  10. Get the 5870 or better... I'm getting very good fps on my setup. you can use one touchscreen for the entire pit, but 3 is the ultimate goal so you can display the full cockpit without tabbing.
  11. Ya , I would like to grab a pcb from ya if you put in a order.
  12. Hey! We are building most of the pits based on 3 consoles. I'm currently using 3 screens. I would say one 23 incher for the front, and (2) 22 inchers will work for the consoles. I'm also using 5870*6 with all 4 screens ( 3 for Helios, and 1 main 46 incher) All is working very well! For the PHCC, we have thought about bringing this in... but we need to get the software out of beta first.
  13. Buying for a second screen? if so, touch screen is still the way to go... you would be able to operate the entire cockpit from that one touch screen. For me , Helios and the touchscreens are just as important as track IR.
  14. The HP touch screens are getting close to $200 http://www.provantage.com/hewlett-packard-hp-em891a8-aba~7HEWA17A.htm Well worth it!
  15. I wish there was a better way , birch works pretty good and it is much stronger.... but takes a lot more work to paint and cover up grain.
  16. How does it screw together? Looks really nice! I'm sure more folks would jump in on the PCB if you had a group buy, it would make it a lot cheaper! Since there is no backplate, how do the push buttons attach?
  17. The entire pit is mdf, including seat. You can see the seat in my UMC pics. The above pics are renders, not the real thing, and who knows when I might build it.... I do have The UMC and Helios and they are working really well. Physical Seat
  18. 1 46 incher for main view, and 3 touchscreens running Helios.
  19. I'm having pretty good luck using 1 5870 * 6 with 4 screens. Running B4 around 40 to 60 fps with MFD's on mon 2 and running our CDU screen copy. I will do a video hopefully later.
  20. Here is some updates to the design so far .... still working progress
  21. Not bad, but Gadroc is on it with his profile.
  22. I think with the updates to fps increases in both dcs and Helios , fps should not be an issue if you are using a mid to high end system.
  23. Stick covers are great! How about LCD covers? .... Give me a pm
  24. Awesome man, so what do you think?
  25. I'm waiting to get a batch of new saitek's in, so no pedals now which sucks! Nothing hiding under the cover...
