I think I finally found the culprit. ReShade. I was using the last version, but there's something wrong with it. So I uninstalled it and then... everytime I exit DCS now, I have a black screen that stays there for maybe 30 seconds... maybe 40 seconds... and then back to the desktop. Sometimes, I see the DCS logo showing very quickly, but it hasn't crashed for real. I don't know, it's just weird that black screen threatening to give me a crash, but then it's all good.

"A mute aircraft" lol .. I hope it doesn't go blind too! I made a test and when starting hot, I have no sound and Mistrals don't work at all. Then if I start from cold and dark, I don't have the sound, but I can shoot the missile... I just don't know if I have a lock on the enemy or not, but it worked...kind of... and my RWR also don't have any sound, or the fuel pumps... both dead. I have to say, I feel a bit disapointed with the Gazelle, I was expecting a little bit more, in terms of functionality, as I learned the whole systems and everything in one day. A lot of things are not functional or simply don't work at all. I really hope they keep working on this module and make it better, with all the functions. I know a lot of things in DCS can not be modeled exactly as they are in real life, for security reasons. But then spend all of this money on a module that is missing so many functionalities and the ones that it has don't work properly... also makes me depressed.

Same here, just bought the Gazelle, trying the weapons and no sound on the Mistrals... And by looking the posts here, this problem was going on in 2016... 3 years ago. I love DCS to pieces, but when I buy a new model, find a problem, then come here to find a solution and realise that there were people complaining about the same problem, 3 or 4... 5 years ago sometimes... it makes me depressed.

I just bought the Harrier and I'm still learning stuff, but I can confirm that I noticed that too. The first 2 digits go....(16...) and then the "88" doesn't go.... I have to go back one step and then enter the four digits again. Then it works.

Ok, I think I figured it out.. I had to disable the Steam cloud and then using Revo Uninstaller, I made the uninstall deleting everything, registry entries, folders, sub folders, files, etc... Then reinstalling DCS from the begining gave me a fresh install of DCS, which I think fixed the problem. I'm gonna try to make it crash at exit, by doing what I was doing before, which was just crashing the plane in the simulation and then trying to exit the simulator straight after. Case solved! I don't have all of those modules NineLine, apart from the Huey now... I think what happen is that, ages ago I decided to "hide" all of the icons from the modules that I didn't have, to show only the ones I had, highlighted in the main menu screen. And by deleting the other ones, I broke something inside DCS... Well... It's fixed! By uninstalling everything completely, using Revo Uninstaller, deleting registry entries, folders, sub folders, files...and disabling the cloud on Steam, I've got a brand new fresh install of DCS and THE HUEY WAS THERE! In the main menu and everything. And the crashes when exiting, untill now didn't happen... I'll make a few more tests to confirm that, but it seems to be ok for now. Thank you NineLine, and everybody that tried to help me somehow! I don't have words to thank you all... You guys are the best! And if anyone ever come across this problem one day, just try to do what I did, by "reseting" everything to the begining. Yes cthulhu68... my DCS is the Steam Edition and everything I bought so far was made through Steam Store. I know about the incompatibility between both versions. I actually made this thread so that NineLine could see the log files, as I didn't know how to "attach" the files in a private message, but if someone else can help me too, I'll appreciate. Everybody have been so helpful, I must thank all of you guys really! Ps.: I tried everything you can imagine already, but right now, I think I'm making "the last option": I disabled that Cloud thing on Steam and uninstalled DCS completely from my computer, using Revo Uninstaller, so I cleared the registry, files, folders, literally everything associated with DCS. And THEN I started to download and install DCS entirely from scrach. My idea is that nothing from my previous installation should "come back", as I tried this before and Steam end up bringing everything back exactly as it was, because I didn't know about the cloud feature then... NOW, if by doing that I still don't see the Huey inside my DCS, then I can say for sure that I've tried absolutely EVERYTHING possible to install the module. There's another 5:30 hours of download to go... fingers crossed.

Hi BIGNEWY, Sorry, I'm absolutely lost in this forum, but I manage to upload the log files here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3967910#post3967910 I tried to change the "Run this program as an administrator" in the properties of DCS.exe, the changed was accepted, but when I tried to run DCS, I had a message saying "Error creating process" and in the taskbar of Windows, I can see that "Run.exe" green icon with the A-10C in it...? So I had to go back to the properties of DCS.exe and untick the "Run this program...." and then it works again... basically, I can't choose to run as an admin! And I noticed that the crashes happen randomly, but usually if I crash the plane in game and then exit the game after... or if I fly for a while, more than 3 minutes and then exit, it crashes. It's not a big big deal, it's just annoying... what I'm really worried about now, it's the fact that I bought the Huey, installed, and it's absolutely nowhere to be found inside DCS!... I checked everything and tried everything to install the Huey and make it work, and nothing. NineLine was talking to me about it, but I didn't know how to send the log files, so hopefully this will help you guys now... Thank you so much for your help, all of you. It means a lot to me. The file "dcs.log-20190624-102417.zip" was created yesterday by DCS itself. The file "dcs.zip" I made today after playing for 5 minutes and crashing into the desert, which made DCS to crash at exit, but no .zip files were added to the "Logs" folder in /Saved Games... In both cases, I have the Huey installed, but still not showing. I took a screenshot from the ME, where I tried to see if it was "activated", but it isn't. Hi guys, I have DCS Steam Edition and as the title said, everytime I exit the simulator now, it crashes. It's not a huge problem, since it's on exit and not at any other time, but this is bugging me now. Does anyone else have this? Or is it just me? I went through that "verify integrity of game files" and nothing came out, no files were replaced. I do have a couple of mods installed, but they always worked fine, I never had this problem before, even with these 2 mods installed. It just start happening from nowhere. If anyone have any idea of what could be causing this, please.. Im all ears. Thanks. Alex.

+1 PG map: no waypoints, the sea turned into sand. Everything is a desert. PG map: waypoints setup, then no land...??! Everything was water, although I could see the pink circles for the airfields but that was it, nothing else. lol Anyone from ED, could you guys please reply to us and give us any news (update) about any work going on in the Ka-50? Yes, I noticed that too, the other day was flying with a different aircraft and the HUD disappeared. Think it was the Mustang...

Well, I really hope they fix it and I'll keep that hope until after they launch the Syrian map and I think everybody should do the same... as they said (I saw in other threads, from ED) they will go back there and fix all of this things and I truly believe they will. We all know that there's A LOT of people out there that loves WWII era planes, including ED and Ugra!, and I think it would be something very stupid from them NOT to go back and fix this, as they will lose prestige amongst regular costumers and also new costumers coming too. And they also know this too! :) I understand the frustration of many people that bought the map and got disapointed, I got too... but still, let's give them some time, to finish the Syrian map and after that we'll know if they were being true or not. And only then we can come back here and %!@?:*&%@"&*!%*@?!*" And yes, there's a lot of "canyons" and huge walls of grass coming from nowhere in the southern coast of England that don't exist! lol (that really pissed me off)

Hi guys, I know this is an old thread, and as far as I can see, from ALL the threads here, everybody is unhappy with the situation around Normandy Map. I was going to make a new thread to ask about optimization, FPS drops, and the mess with cities in the wrong place or even not existing at all, as I bought the map the other day and noticed all of this things straight away (knowing that I could've spend that money on the Persian Golf map) ... BUT all of that has been said already and there are plenty of threads reporting everything that I noticed, exactly as it is, and saying exactly what I wanted to say ... so there's no point in trying to bring all of that up again. My suggestion to everybody: leave it. Let it be. Let's wait for the Syrian map to come out... and then see if they will really put some love into Normandy Map. And if that doesn't happen, I'll take a LONG time to buy anything from Ugra Media again. Because I paid full price for an unfinished map (or a "test map" as it was suggested), knowing that I could've bought a new plane model, or a helicopter, or even another map that works and it's complete... they charged me full price for "that" map, well now they gonna have to wait a VERY long time until I'm "able" to buy something else from them again... :-) Just a suggestion. Hi there, I bought the P51 a while ago and noticed this problem straight away, as I was trying to set up a long range escort mission on the Caucasus. Fuselage tank never fills up, drop tanks when selected don't work, and if you request refuel on the ground, the sound of refueling just goes on forever...and ever... and if you start running you hear, "HEY WHAT YOU DOING?" ... "I HAVEN'T FINISHED FILLING UP YOUR TANK FOREVER, COME BACK HERE!!!" lol (just kidding) I hope they fix this soon, as well as the missing texture at the back of the seat, which in my case, misteriously, appears sometimes in some missions and disappears in others...?! But today, 05/05/2019 I set up a mission with the Spitfire, in the rain and this problem happened to me too. So as far as I can see, this problem still exists. Hey guys! I just had a similar problem with Spitfire.. mirror was showing my F-15 pilot in it.. lol with background and everything else. Dev's of the Spitfire: PLEASE FIX THIS PLANE! .. also I noticed that I'm getting some kind of stutter when I'm flying the Spitfire...and it doesn't happen with other planes... as much as I love this plane, I've been thinking now if it was worth spending £40 pounds on it :( Really hope they fix these things soon..
