  1. That’s a good point, now that money has changed hands the game has changed significantly. I only really used the term “road bump” because frankly we have no idea what the deicison making process was the lead to a year’s delay, but considering that that decision meant that Heatblur spent that whole year spending lots of money rather than making any, it was probably a well thought out and ultimately necessary decision. As Cobra (I think? It might have been another Heatblur dev but the point still stands) said, this is a make or break thing for Heatblur as a studio: if the F-14 doesn’t sell, that’s it, they’re kaput. So whatever the reason for the delay, I think they’re wary of having the same crop up again, where because of strictly necessary things lots of people got very upset. On a more personal note, I can’t wait for the USS Forrestal. My grandfather was flying A-4’s off the Forrestal when the ‘67 fire broke out, he was on deck and helped hose people off and shove wreckage over the side. He was also on USS Midway during Frequent Wind as a bridge officer, he was actually on duty and witnessed Major Buang land a Bird Dog with his wife and five children in it on a carrier deck, but I digress.
  2. A certain rather vocal member of this community does more or less nothing on this forum other than whine and try and bring others down. Don't worry about it. The reveal was awesome, the Turkey is awesome, you guys are awesome, let's just get flying this thing!
  3. I think the order of the day for Heatblur is not making any firm promises, so that they don't end up in a situation like last winter if some unexpected roadbump occur between now and early access release.
  4. Actually, what they said was 2:00, and they never deviated from that. The community saw that the youtube livestream was set to start at 1:45, which was for the 15 minute countdown, and therefore decided that that must be when the reveal started, despite all evidence to the contrary, and came up with all kinds of theories. Heablur never once gave a time other than 2:00.
  5. Any news is good news indeed. We’ve waited a long while, we can wait a few months more.
  6. Im 99% sure I saw one of the Heatblur team confirm definitively that tomorrow will not be release, but I can't remember where. I think it may be somewhere in the backlog of this thread.
  7. I would guess that it is a right bank, but that the radar scope portrays the aircraft's current "up" as up, therefore relative to the earth's plane, which is the bit that seems to be tilting left, the aircraft is indeed in a right bank, as indicated elsewhere on the panel. Just a guess though, someone who actually knows how the cope works can confirm.
  8. Thanks for the update and all the hard work! I can’t wait to take her up, any delay is worth it as far as I’m concerned.
  9. That being said, and what a beautiful picture, I wouldn’t particularly want to be taking off on a cat launch with all of that 10 feet of clearance between myself and my wingman...
  10. Yeah me too, I was especially looking forward to the bucc, but at least we have the community A4 releasing in less than a month!
  11. I think we can pretty safely say both of these are dead, considering the one coder for both projects has gone MIA.
  12. I will throw my hat in the ring to say that as someone who came into the DCS partway through the development proccess of the Tomcat, having all of these stikied and seperated with titles and attatched dates was invaluable in helping me dig through literally years of progress reports and updates. Not that I necessarily disagree with the criticisms, just listing an upside.
  13. I don't think there's any chance of the A-6 being released in October unfortunately. But we do have the Scooter in October and the 'Cat maybe holiday season?
  14. As the grandson of a Skyhawk driver, thank you so much for making this a reality. It means a lot to me and my dad!
  15. My old man flew the Scooter and the Intruder over Vietnam and Cuba, I am beyond ready for the community Skyhawk and now a Heatblur A-6. He would have been totally blown away to sit down in an Intruder again.
