I upgraded to the haswell 4770k from an old i7 950 nahalem. My old one was 3.9ghZ and with no overclocking the new one beats the pants off it. I've upped my new cpu to about 4.3GHZ and it's a nice improvement over that. I don't think there's much need to overclock it though. People going from more recent CPU's might not see the need but its a great improvement for me. Oh I also got an ASUS Sabortooth MB with it =)

You might be comparing an empty Huey to a Black Shark carrying a combat load.

Huey and Black Shark are still my favourite modules. The A-10C is great also I guess but doesn't have that 'I'm trying to kill you' factor. Perhaps the buffeting through ETL should be turned down in the Huey - at least the cockpit shake effect - more of a vibration and turbulence effect would be nice instead of the lurching. It's still in beta though so hard to tell. The difference between the two could be related to the rotors. They are worlds apart with Huey having two very large noisy foils that might cause a lot more buffeting... just an idea.

For some context. Many release notes come directly from bugs so the release notes are often copied and pasted but not rewritten. So you get release note that's something like 'abc is broken' when it should be rewritten to say 'abc is now fixed' :thumbup:

I go to 12FPS in the cockpit, switch to outside view and get 39 FPS, back to cockpit 12FPS. This was just when I was landing on an empty map.

Being kept up to date, even if the ideas expressed are not finalised is fantastic. I really appreciate the huge amount of effort and risk that ED takes putting together a modular flight sim world.

ED will be able to sell F-15C and SU-27 for DCS World without the need to have LOMAC and give a cut to UBISOFT. If you have FC3 you can just wait for the DCS version. Hopefully they'll also sell an upgrade pathway.

Whoa this thread is taking a turn... I'm probably the minority, I can fly all the high fidelity aircraft but actually I have no idea how to fly the FC3 aircraft or the SU-25t. More aircraft are great but it's time for new maps =)

I flew slow but I also descended and ascended each valley instead of just flying in a straight and level line :smartass:

I present possibly the most unfortunate timing for an hour long mission. Just to make it extra fun I decided not to bother with the autopilot for general flying... :cry:

I'd also like to know the heck you guys produced this UH-1 so quickly. It seems like amazing quality to announce and then release to beta so fast.

After several more hours I think the flight model is fantastic. This is after setting up curves and practicing. I'd love to have a stick extender.

I use 34 curve on pitch and roll and 15 on rudder. Take a look at my latest flight - first half is formation (mostly) second half is a bit different. At no point do I use the autopilot.

I have added 34 curves to pitch and roll and 15 curve to yaw. My first flight video had quite a bit of oscillation even though I was inputing the smallest input I possibly could. This seems to be solved for me now. I use the HOTAS warthog.
