Thanks all for the help! Lots to remember!

Thank you. I’ll check that. I’m also wondering if the cowl flaps may have something to do with it as well.

Hey all. In level flight it seems I’m maxing around 200 knots. I did the rpm level pulldown with the mouse and still seem to max at 200 knots. Throttle open in level flight, landing gear up, supercharger fully forward… is there something I’m missing? Shouldn’t it max around 300 knots? Also flying a clean bird, no stores.

Thanks Edmuss. I returned the headset and went with a new 32" 1440p monitor and Trackir instead. I appreciate everyone's input.

Hi all. With Multi-threading now out for DCS, I am curious about processors. I am running an 95 9600k OC'ed to 4.6ghz on each core. I am wondering if this is going to bottleneck my computer. I would prefer to keep the same mobo if possible. If I go down that route, is it going to help me to get a better CPU on that socket? Any suggestions? I just upgraded to the 3060ti. I am trying to determine where next to put my money for the best possible budget experience. 24 Gb RAM (8x8 and 4x4) i5 9600k OC'ed RTX 3060ti OC'ed Windows 11 DCS- Steam

Thank you Mbucchia. I imagine that upgrading to a better VR setup like a Meta2 won't help? I know DCS is quite a hog for power but I really thought the 3060ti could handle it. If I purchased and installed the Meta 2 headset could it maybe run a bit better?

It works with SteamVR

This is really a two part question. And I will start with saying that my guess is the RTX 3060ti just can't pump out the frames for VR. I am getting poor fps and quality on my setup but heard OpenXR may improve performance. I just don't know if it will work with PSVR. Here are the questions: 1) Can PSVR use OpenXR? 2) If so, how? I am brand new to VR after upgrading my graphics card to a RTX 3060ti. I found a good deal on a used PSVR and figured why not give it a try. I play DCS in steam and bought the PSVR IVRY software. It is working but the picture quality is lacking. I am wondering what the issue is, if it is settings or my hardware just isn't good enough. Maybe someone can help? When playing on the monitor without VR, I am running at about 140 fps on Normandy in my P-51D at 1080P and mostly high settings. With VR on and using my PSVR I have to turn most of the settings down pretty low. With so many layers, IVRY, SteamVR, DCS, Nvidia Control Panel... I just don't know how they interact. Any help would be appreciated. Computer Specs: Windows 11, Steam, RTX 3060 ti (OC'ed), 24 GB (dual channel 8x8, 4x4), Motherboard Gigabyte Z390 Auros Elite, Intel Core i5-9600k (OC'ed), 650 Watt PSU (circa 2010), 1 TB SSD.

I didn't know where to post this so I came here. I am brand new to VR after upgrading my graphics card to a RTX 3060ti. I found a good deal on a used PSVR and figured why not give it a try. I play DCS in steam and bought the PSVR IVRY software. It is working but its pretty jittery, especially comparing maps Normandy to Channel. I am wondering what the issue is, if it is settings or my hardware just isn't good enough. Maybe someone can help? When playing on the monitor without VR, I am running at about 140 fps on Normandy in my P-51D at 1080P. I am not sure how best to setup DCS in game, IVRY, or Steam VR to make everything run best while not looking completely jagged. Again, maybe I just don't have a good enough computer? I sure hope that's not the case. With so many layers, IVRY, SteamVR, DCS, Nvidia Control Panel... I just don't know how they interact. Any help would be appreciated. No suggestions?

So my main monitor is a 1920x1080 display. The two other screens are lilliput 8" 800x600 screens. The only success I have had is to use the lua file : Camera+ LMFCD_auto_placement but that only displays one MFCD. The LMFCD+Camera+RMFCD creates the issue you see in the screenshots where only the center monitor (main monitor) is used and it is split three ways to show the main view and both MFCDs. LMFCD+Camera+RMFCD.luaCamera+LMFCD_auto_placement.lua That is where I am at.

Ok. I’ll get that info posted tomorrow when I get home

So I finally got my second monitor in but my troubles are anew. Does anyone have a Lua file with a three monitor setup I could use? My main is 1080x1920 with two 8" lilliputs. I have attached screenshots to show what is going on.

Ok. Thanks. I'll try

Roger. Thanks! Ok. So, before I read your message here, I kept screwing around and got the DDI to display the top left portion (ignore that the screen is on the right side of my main monitor)... See DDI Partial. I continued trying different settings in DCS, Windows, and lua. Nothing... UNTIL I changed the monitor placement to the attached "Camera+LMFCD". NOW IT WORKS!!!! The problem is that I will soon be getting a second idential 8" lilliput monitor for the Right DDI. I do not have a monitor setting LUA file for Left and Right auto placement. Just Left and Right as attached. I'm afraid when I do finally get the second 8" monitor I will find myself in a similar situation again with the main monitor working, one of the two DDIs working, but the other not working. Camera+LMFCD_auto_placement.lua LMFCD+Camera+RMFCD.lua

So, I tried with the lilliput display to the right of the main 1920 x 1080 display and below the main display but aligned on the left side. Neither worked. I am wondering if I am missing something? I have included screenshots and the lua file from the second attempt, below the center screen and left aligned. Any suggests? I say "viewport" mentioned on the other post. Am I supposed to have a file that designates what the small screen displays? In this case I want it to display the left DDI. Thank you!

So here is an update: I have attached the lua file I am using. I then attached a screenshot with one of the two USB monitors plugged in. The other is still in the mail. I load DCS and the main screen shows the cockpit just fine, but the USB monitor only shows my desktop. Is there something I am doing incorrectly? Thanks! HSBMFD1.lua

Hi all. I ordered a set of the Cougar MFDs and a couple Lilliput 8" screens. I got both up and running on the computer but can't figure out how to configure the LUA file (and believe me, I have tried). I have a main screen that is 1080x1920. The two screens for the MFDs are the 8" lilliput. I did read they can be set as 525x525. Anyone have any experience setting up the LUA files or have one I can download? Thanks!

Thanks all. I figured it out two fold... one was that I indeed needed the full SAM setup with all the players in that type, the second was then following the instructions on youtube. I wasn't tracking with my HARMS because they were not tracking me! Thanks for the help/

I know there is a lot of talk about homemade MFD setups. I found one video in particular where the guy connects a lilliput USB monitor to his setup. What is appealing about this is that my Graphics card has just two outputs (well three if you include VGA). So I cannot have 3 separate outputs for DDIs and then one for the main screen. A USB monitor fits my setup best. My question is, in the video below the guy says the screens have a USB input as well so the MFD Cougar can plug into the screen and both output/connect to the PC through the Lilliput USB cable. However, I have seen nothing in the description of the Lilliputs that confirms that they have a USB input. Does anyone know? I suppose I could connect both separately to the PC but his setup looks so streamlined. Anyone know anything about these screens?

Hi all. I have watched countless videos on the HARM TOO and am having problems. When I switch to the HARM page on the left DDI and select TOO I am not seeing any Hostile radar signatures. In the track I uploaded I did survive and destroyed the SA site (I had to placed, the SA6 never fired... no clue why), but I don't know why I am not showing the SA site on the HARM-TOO display. I tried the RAID select, cage/uncage... I am just not getting it. Anyone able to help me understand what it is I am doing incorrectly? Thanks. Harm.trk
